Awesome Product Very Impressed - love this waterfall, vessel faucet

I thought this deal was too good to be true and so I drove them crazy asking questions about what all comes with this faucet (like what's the catch?). Got it right away and it was amazing. When it was installed and was turned on the first time, I wasn't ready for how exciting it was. It is so cool and the people at Modern Designer Shop were more than helpful. Euro Modern Contemporary Waterfall Widespread Roman Bath Tub Faucet Filler Brushed Nickel

I was skeptical at first particularly with the way this item is priced; way lower than other roman tub faucet you get in the major stores. It arrived nicely packaged and very sharp looking. I was worried about the water flow rate since the valve didn't look that big. I emailed the vendor and they assured me it should work fine. Sure enough, the faucet not only looks expensive and beautiful above my tub, the waterfall flow freely and works great. It didn't take long at all to fill my big jacuzzi tub and I love it. This is a great buy for the price if you like the look.

Product arrived just as advertised. Simple to install and works great. Have recommended it to family and friends who comment about it. Seller was also excellent in answering me questions and fast shipping. - Bathroom Sink Faucets - Awesome Product Very Impressed - Love This Waterfall - Vessel Faucet'

Overnight Diapers - pampers, subscribe and save

First of all, with mommy in school and 3 babies under 6, we're on a tight budget!!! That's what first drew me to these wipes. With Amazon Mom's Club and Subscribe and Save, these are just $9.79 for 504 wipes! That makes them $0.0194 each. I'll include a price comparison in a moment so you can see just how cheap that is!!!

Okay, so I read the product reviews, and I was skeptical...I really hesitated about ordering them. But, hey, people have been wrong before, right?? So I ordered them.

Here's what I think...

1-The FIRST wipe out of the pack DOES tear if you aren't careful. The opening in the container they come in (with the plastic reclosable lid) is a little small, and the wipes are not positioned so that the edge of that first one is easy to get to. If you try to pull it from the middle, rather than feeling inside the pack with a finger for the edge, it will tear every time. However, this is not restricted to these wipes, I've had other travel packs like this do the same thing. My solution? Either stick your finger in and find the edge, or just cut/tear the pack open and pop the wipes into a box.

2-These are NOT dry. Not sure if others got a bad batch, left the package open, or just want their baby wipes to drip, but these are wonderful. I even had two other people feel of them and asked what they thought. Neither said a word about them being dry, and replied that they weren't when asked specifically. I want my wipes moist enough to do the job. I don't want them to drip or need wringing out. These have a perfect moisture content.

3-They are also NOT scratchy. I HATED the Pampers Soft Care wipes I ordered last time. They were so soft and stretchy and flimsy that I felt like it was dangerous to wipe poop or anything else I didn't want on my hand with them. I constantly was checking to see if things had leaked through them or they had torn while I was wiping. Just using them made me feel as if the baby wasn't getting very clean, and that resulted in me using "just one more" to make sure that she was. The lesson? If you want a thin, super soft wipe...this is not it. If you want a strong, reasonably soft, wipe that does the job without leaking through or tearing...you've found it.

Mostly, I am wondering if there aren't people who leave negative reviews in hopes of getting apologies/coupons, just like people who complain at perfectly fine restaurants for the same reason. I don't know, but most of the reviews I read here on Amazon about this product were completely wrong.

Price Comparison---

Pampers Thick Care (these ones, with S&S and MC)- $9.79 for 504, $0.0194 each

Sam's Club Brand (from Sam's Club, reg. price) - $13.72 for 702, $0.0196 each

Pampers Sensitive (from Amazon, with S&S and MC)- $15.14 for 704, $0.0215 each

Huggies Regular (from my local store, on sale) - $5.99 for 272, $0.022 each

Family Dollar Brand (from Family Dollar, reg.) - $4.00 for 160, $0.025 each

Okay, so Mom's Club gives me free 2-day shipping. Sam's Club price is close, but the closest one is 50 miles from here, which means I spend $10 in gas going down there, and then it is $40 a year for the membership, which means since all I ever bought there was diapers and wipes (and my diapers are cheaper from Amazon, too) it made more sense economically to let that membership expire and let Amazon send these straight to my house.

Overall? These are quality, name brand wipes that work well, are well moisturized, feel good, smell good, and are cheaper than any bargain or store brand I have found. Add that to the money I save on Luvs Diapers here on Amazon ($24.50 for a huge box, 204 in the size 3), and I am a happy camper!

PRO'S

To-Go packaging is perfect for the diaper bag.

Long lasting To-Go packaging so you don't have to worry about running out.

Great price with subscribe and save.

The scented wipes smell nice.

CON'S

Wipes tear more easily than regular Pampers wipes.

First couple of wipes are hard to pull out of packaging.

The unscented wipes don't smell that great.

Overall I am pretty happy with these wipes. The truth is you can't beat the price for the product with the amazon mom and subscribe and save discount.

These are great now that my son is older and we needed a wipe that's a little tougher. You use less for each diaper change and I love the "to-go" packaging. I have one in the diaper bag, changing table, and the car!

Thease baby wipes are hard to get apart. There's extra soap on them so my son has had a diaper rash since we started using them. Picking them out of the plastic bag they come is is also difficult and time consming especially when your little one is trying to escape. I will not buy thease again. Also if you try to put them in your own baby wipe container, good luck trying to get them out unless you open the lid and use your nails to peel part of a wipe up then try to rip it apart and do this until you have enough but by then jr has ran away. And don't use them in a diaper wipe warmer, they burn up because they're drier then normal baby wipes with more soap. I will never use thease again. - Pampers - Baby - Wipes - Subscribe And Save'

Pc Vga To Tv Converter

Once you have this hooked up you need to reboot your computer or it won't recognize the TV as a monitor. I was about to toss this across the room after hooking it up to two TV's and switching wires 4 or 5 times. Once the laptop rebooted, worked great. Lake PC to TV Converter Box compatible with Windows and Mac (VGA To RCA / VGA To S-Video)

I bought this to be able to use my non-HD TV as a second monitor so I could watch movies on a larger screen from my couch. This works perfectly. I have a DVI-I output on my PC, which I had to convert to VGA with this DVI-I Male to VGA Female Adapter. Then I used the VGA-to-VGA cord that came with this to connect the VGA to the converter, and a cable like this Cables To Go Value Series S-Video Cable (25 feet) that I already had, from the converter to the TV. I was freaking out until I remembered to plug the converter power cord into an empty usb port. I had a flipping screen image at first, but flipped the tiny, white switches until the picture was clear. I was in business!

The product was shipped quickly and in good condition. I would recommend it for this use. The picture is close to perfect with very little interference, which the instruction booklet says can be caused by too little power or too many electronics in the vicinity, whatever that means.

I got this unit today, plugged in the necessary wires and connections, set the dip switch to NTSC and started watching my computer screen on my analog tv (Sharp 27F543 tv with Macbook 13" v. 7,5).The picture quality was VERY disappointing. Very blurry and bad contrast and color depth. I tried adjusting the controls in the converter. Some change, but still unacceptable picture quality. Some folks might actually find the picture acceptable. I found it very annoying. I packed up the converter and wires and was going to return it to Amazon and write a one or two star review.

Then I got the idea of playing with the computer's display settings and gave it one last chance. Here's what I found. My Macbook automatically set the display to 800x600 at 60hz and standard "VGA Display" color profile the moment the Apple adapter is hooked up. The instructions that came with the converter were no help in trying to tweak the computer's settings to get the best picture. Seems that anything but standard "VGA Display" worked much better, giving much better contrast and color depth, and the blurry picture became much better as well. I then used the converter's controls to fine tune the picture. Now it's VERY acceptable. Same picture quality as with my older Macbook (v. 5,5) with Apple's mini-dvi to rca/s-video adapter.

This box is intended to work with older CRT TVs. It essentially turns your TV into a CRT monitor. If you are trying to connect an HDTV to your computer do not use this box, you will not be satisfied with the picture quality. For an HDTV explore other options (HDMI or DVI), s-video and RCA should be last resorts with an HDTV.

My box came configured for PAL output, if you require NTSC (The standard in North America) the box will not work unless both of the switches are in the down position (as stated in the included instructions). Aside from needing to switch the format to NTSC this worked right out of the box. The picture quality was as expected (don't expect to get monitor quality out of your TV, the picture quality limitations are due to the limitations of TVs not this box).

Making adjustments to the picture was easy. To adjust the picture position use the up, down, left and right buttons with the menu off. Enter the menu to make further adjustments (picture size, brightness, contrast, etc.). As stated in previous reviews, my box does not seem to hold its settings when turned off. If you need to make major adjustments to the picture I recommend purchasing an adapter to plug the USB power cord into the wall.

I found this little product awesome. It was easy to install by following some steps from other previous reviewers. However, I have to add that I still couldn't get it to work properly. The connections were all intact as shown on the instruction manual. What solved my problem was pressing the Fn and then the F8 button to get to work. lol After that it works wonders. Sure the picture quality isn't the best but it's the viewing that in the comfort of my own tv that does it for me.

On a side note, I also purchased a Belkin Audio Y Cable Splitter 1-Mini Plug/2-RCA Plugs (6ft), which allowed me to hear the audio directly from the tv and not from the computer.

Love it!

This product will take the signal from your computer (Mac or PC), and transmit it to your old style television set to be displayed. If you want to watch Netflix on your tv, but don't have a newer LCD type, this is just the ticket. You can't go with just a simple wire adapter, because your computer is sending digital data (0's and 1's) and your older TV needs analog data. This converts the two, which can be a big help. I use this for movie nights all the time in my dorm's TV lounge, and it couldn't be better.

The product itself also came with the wires necessary to make it work. I guess I should have expected this, but in today's world where you buy printers with no cables, who knows. It was pleasant surprise. The cables plug in easily enough, and the signal comes through fine. If you watch a DVD through your laptop to the tv, it won't look as good as a stand-alone dvd player, though. It definitely gets the job done, though. I especially love that the unit is powered not by outlet, but by usb. Great idea.

If you want, you can also get another wire to bring the audio of whatever you're doing to the tv (this unit only handles video). Get an 1/8 inch wire that splits to a red and white RCA ends. These are fairly common. Plug the 1/8 inch jack into your computer, and the two RCA ends to the TV, and you now have big TV sound rather than tiny, wimpy computer sound.

That's about it. I am very satisfied for what I got at this price. Good job no name Tech Company!'

Pendant Necklace - pendant necklace, heart necklace

The Silver Crystal Double Heart Pendant Necklace is very elegant. The crystals shine and dress up whatever you are wearing. It was given as a gift. The person that received it loves the look of it against her sweaters or peeking out of an open collar. The chain length is just perfect. Amazon is doing good carrying PammyJ Jewelry. Silver Crystal Double Heart Charm Pendant Necklace

When the necklace came, I was surprised on how nice it was...my 8 and 6 year old daughters loved them. I purchased the one with the pink in it and the one plane necklace with just the silver as well...so worth the money....

Necklace is beautiful and simple ...but when i got the package one crystal stone was missing from the pendant and it ruined the whole surprise bcoz i bought it as a gift. And now after using it for months the chain has lost its luster.I would say its not worth the money. If you can get it for 10$ then ok but not more than that.

It was a pretty necklace, but less than a month of wear has caused it to lose it's plating and reveal copper underneath. The last necklace I gave my fiance has lasted over a year and barely has any tarnish.

It's smaller than the picture describe... but it's still a cute product. My girlfriend likes it really much or she just like any gifts I get her in general because I rarely gift her stuff >.< I bought it for around $15 I believe and I think it's worth its price when it's a little cheaper. Get this gift for your girlfriends guys! - Heart Necklace - Pendant Necklace'

Framing Nailers

I am editing this review a year later (14Apr08) with some revisions

I am a professional builder presently building super high end homes on the lakefront of Lake Tahoe. I have used every framing nailer made. Before I bought this nailer I was a Senco and Hitachi user. I needed another nailer so from the recommendation of another carpenter I went with this model. What sold it to me was that I liked the fact that it had another nosepiece that allowed it to be used for nailing hardware.

I have had this nailer for about 5 months now and it has a few problems.

When it was new it would tend to spark a lot when ever a nail was fired. Now that it is broken in it sparks still but much less. Edit.. It no longer sparks.

There was a part missing in the unopened box. I promptly ordered it from Bostich and it came right away. The part was a vinyl rod that adjusts the magazine for varying thickness nails.

The nailer really hammers the nail hard with a loud smack. I worry that it will wear out the hammer driver sooner. The sound with the Hitachi is much quieter and the Hitachi nailer seems to work with much less recoil when sinking a nail.

The trigger on the Bostich is very finicky and will not fire unless you depress the nose "just so" even with the bounce trigger installed. The Hitachi and Senco is an honest trigger that fires every time you depress the nose. Hitachi users say bad words out of frustration when using this nailer because of the finicky trigger.

The rubber pad on the side has a metal part that surrounds it. The metal part is thin and recently it broke. Since a nailer is often left on the side then this weak and flimsy part is in a very vulnerable spot.

The nose has a spring that can easily snag something and fly away. Without this spring the nailer will not work. I spent a lot of time searching in the powder snow once for this spring when it accidentally ejected.

This nailer does have all the modern features that some nailers lack. It has the directional exhaust port and an easily adjustable nosepiece. It will sink a 16d toenail with the depth adjustment all the way down unlike other nailers. It comes with an accessory nosepiece cover that covers the toenail teeth to prevent marring the wood. The nose cover though will not stay on very well and is easy to lose.

If I had my preference I would use cliphead nailers because the magazine holds more nails and the paper collation does not spit eye damaging pieces like the plastic collated strips for round head nailers. Cliphead nails are getting hard to find as misguided architects spec only round head nails. You must use safety glasses when using any round head nailer. The plastic shards are probably not very good for the environment either.

I give it 3 stars still because it works fine most of the time and the hardware nailing feature is nice to have.

Edit 13Apr08 I give it 4.5 stars now. I like this nailer because it really has a large piston and can completely sink a toenail into hard LVL. I do a lot of framing with LVL and this is the only nailer that will not make you reach for your hammer to finish driving the nail home. I am used to the trigger now and it no longer frustrates me. I did have to take apart the trigger once and clean it. The trigger started to blow air and the nailer would not shoot. A less mechanically inclined person might have sent it to the shop for a repair. No parts were very worn, it just needed a cleaning. The broken part on the side bumper has not been a problem. This nailer has held up well so far. I frame about a third of the time so this nailer has about 6 months of heavy use behind it now. Bostitch F21PL Round Head 1-1/2-Inch to 3-1/2-Inch Framing Nailer with Positive Placement Tip and Magnesium Housing

I'm currently using this sucker to frame my garage. I bought Hitachi plastic collated nails for it. It took me a bit to sort it out, but I was able to find 21 degree full round head nails at Lowes. I've been sticking with the Hitachi nails even though there are cheaper brands - the quality is good.

I used 0.131" diameter 21 degree plastic collated nails, 3 1/4" in length, for all of my framing. I was able to blast a bunch of 2x6's together in no time.

I then used 0.131" diameter 21 degree plastic collated nails, 2 3/4" in length, for all of my sheathing. The nailer handled both of these with ease. I can set the depth so I don't go splintering my OSB with too deep of a punch.

I am currently using the trigger that only allows one shot per pull. I like this feature as I don't go machine-gunning 3 nails on top of one another if I slip during the shot. Sometimes it is a little finicky, as you have to get the tip compressed just-so before you pull the trigger, or it will give you a disappointing "pphhh" and no nail. It also seems to have about a 50% ratio of actually firing the last nail in the clip. A lot of times it misses the last nail altogether. I did jam it once with the 2 3/4 nails because I inserted a partially used clip. The uneven break in the plastic collation misaligned the nail and the piston jammed the nail in the barell. I fixed it with a small screwdriver.

It's pretty light for its size. Some friendly helpers I had with the initial framing all remarked at the size of this thing. It looks big and beefy. You'll have a bit of trouble fitting it between studs that are 16" apart - it's a little bulky in tight spaces. For toe-nailing and mating studs together, I had to shoot at an angle. That's when the tip is most finicky, so you have to brace it on the back with one hand while you pull the trigger. At 90 psi or so it might not fully sink the nail on an angled shot like that. At 120 psi it sinks everything. It's kind of scary. My gun came with a protective rubber tip that is handy for things that you don't want to blemish, but without the rubber tip, the cleated gun is much easier to use for angled shots because the tip bites into the wood.

These problems are avoidable if you are careful. A nail gun is an amazing piece of machinery, as I am surprised that with the violence of each shot it doesn't go blowing apart after a few shots. Yet this thing will shoot and shoot as long as I pay attention to the clip, keep it oiled, and set it aside so I don't trip over it. I've dropped it off the ladder twice and it hasn't complained. It's also nice that you can direct the exhaust in multiple directions, as each shot will create a fine oily mist that you can feel on your arm, hand, leg, or whatever. That's just how it works with air tools. At least you can shoot it away from your face. Also, the rubber grip on the handle is slipping around slowly as I use it. That's kind of irritating, especially when it's hot, because the rubber will slide up and bunch up underneath the trigger. Eventually it will probably fall off with enough use. Could probably use a redesign.

On a final note, I bought this thing used from another online auction site that you can probably guess. It was well used before I got it and it's still kicking. For what I paid for it, I'm quite satisfied. I'd probably still be happy with it if I bought it new for a higher price.

Edit 9/6/07: I've been using the metal connector attachment. This thing is pretty handy if you are using Simpson Strong Ties or a similar metal connector for your framing. Most of the Simpson products require a 1.5" nail (so that it doesn't penetrate the other side of 2x lumber) and this gun won't go that small. I've used the 2 1/4" nails when I'm shooting into a junction or multiple pieces. It makes the work go much faster, otherwise you are stuck with a hammer. The tip for metal connectors has a triangular aligning piece that allows you to line up the nail with the hole in the connector. It works really well but be warned - the smaller the nail the better the chance that this thing will misfire. I had much more trouble with the 2 1/4" nails than the bigger framing nails. Also, I glanced off the connector more than once and shot a bent nail bouncing around all over the place - not like a bullet but enough to be dangerous. The metal connector work is much more sensitive to alignment so be careful. Also - be careful about lining up your shot, especially if you are using one hand to brace boards before you shoot. That nail doesn't care if your hand is on the other side of the board when you pull the trigger. I managed to nick my thumb pretty good at about nail number 2,327 during a 10 hour day. Not bad odds - but you'll be better off if you are constantly aware.

Edit 7/12/08: My F21PL is still going and my garage is pretty much done except for electrical and painting. I took this thing up in my attic to build a knee wall around the perimeter so that I could install foam backer board to keep insulation from spilling out onto my soffits. My attic is full of old fiberglass blown-in insulation, so it's nasty and dusty up there. I used my nailer for a few days and it stopped working. After messing with it I figured I had gotten dust inside and perhaps ruined a seal. I finished framing my knee wall with the Bostitch palm nailer (see other review on here - great little tool). I was able to download a rebuild kit from the Bostitch website instantaneously. There are also blow-up diagrams of all of their tools. I bought several rebuild kits and downloaded the diagram, and I was able to successfully rebuild the nailer and get it functioning again. I expect that with my rebuild kits I will keep this nailer going for the rest of my life. Great product support.'

Carrying Cases - netbook case, ipad sleeve

I have to say, I was hesitant on getting this sleeve, for that some said it would fit the 15.4 inch laptops, and some 16's. I ordered this one, got in the mail just recently, tried it out, and it fits my Dell Studio XPS 16 (w/ the 16 inch screen) like a GLOVE!!! I LOVE the fact that on one side of it is lined with suede, so removing it makes it very easy!!! I feel confident now that I don't have to worry about leaving my computer somewhere, or have it collect dust, since I'm deployed out in Afghanistan at the moment. The zipper felt good, wasn't flimsy or anything, it should last as long as I keep the computer.

Also, I had ordered an OGIO Politan Pack just recently, and wasn't sure if the Sleeve with my laptop inside of it would fit, but sure enough it did!!! Not only am I happy with the purchase, but at the fact that sleeve fits PERFECTLY within the OGIO Politan Backpack!! So if it fits my 16inch XPS without any issues, any 15.4 inch laptop SHOULD fit in here as well... Case Logic VLS-110 Sleeve for 7-Inch to 10-Inch Netbooks and iPad

My iPad is in an Apple iPad case but I need a little more protection when it is in my backpack for traveling. Most so called iPad sleeves are expensive so I bought this thing, it fits well and it is cheap. Quite happy with this.

This fits my 16 inch Toshiba perfectly. The material is high quality, and it seems to have been assembled perfectly. The zipper glides smoothly, and Amazon is offering the case at a reasonable price. I would easily make this buying decision again.

I was looking for a basic sleeve to protect my iPad and Apple wireless keyboard while stowed inside my backpack. This case fit the bill perfectly. Additionally, the quality of design, materials, and construction FAR exceeded my expectations considering what I paid (under $15).

General comments:

Basic sleeve design for a netbook or iPad, as advertised. The construction is high quality, especially for the price. The material feels sturdy in hand, but is exceptionally light. Both sides of the sleeve are padded (neither side is rigid). The interior surface is smooth nylon. The interior portion of the zipper is protected from contents by a lip of fabric which, by its design, does NOT get caught up in the zipper. The zipper itself runs from the top left corner of the sleeve all the way down the right side of the sleeve, giving you the flexibility to only open the sleeve from the top or open it up more widely. Accented patches at the bottom and front center are a nice touch, providing good grip points.

iPad specific:

Bought the sleeve to house my iPad. Was despairing because I could not find a simple case to house both my iPad and my Apple wireless keyboard. Thought I would be forced to leave the sleeve open at the top with the keyboard sticking out. To my surprise, the iPad AND keyboard fit nicely together in the sleeve. The keyboard takes up the maximum height of the case, but the zipper closes nicely without being forced or rubbing, even with the iPad inside also.

*note: edited review two weeks after purchase* This is a very comfortable and compact case and build quality is excellent. It would be my favorite case if not for two things:

1) My 10.1" Aspire One with the larger 6-cell battery pack *BARELY* fits. It's a very tight squeeze and the zipper takes some effort to get it to close around the corners.

2) No room for extras. It's a real stretch to get any extras in the case. I cannot zip it closed if I put the power cord, mouse, etc in this same case.

This is a sturdy, well padded and very protective case. If you need to carry extras with it, choose something larger.

I bought this on Amazon and promptly returned it.

Pros:

-Fit my 14.1 inch HP Pavilion laptop snugly

-Leather (or imitation) grip on the bottom is a nice touch; gives much better grip than the slick nylon

Cons:

-Thick, but in all the wrong places. The front and back of the case have thick padding, but unless you expect to be using your laptop as a shield or to hit things, this is not a useful place for padding. The edge padding is thinner to non-existent, though this is exactly where one should want padding. Light style cases are meant to protect the laptop surface from scratches, and provide some cushioning when in the a backpack or bag. This laptop sleeve does not provide any more cushioning along the edges than the standard neoprene sleeves, so adds bulk but does not provide additional protection

The bottom line for me was that this case doubled the thickness of my (already not slender) laptop, but despite this did not provide any meaningful additional protection. I've purchased a Targus Laptop Case instead, which fits and protects my laptop equally well without adding needless bulk. If you really want that extra padding, this Lowepro Notebook Sleeve looks more useful. - Case Logic - Ipad Sleeve - Netbook - Netbook Case'

Heel Cushions - heel cushions

The halo heel is way, way out in front of Dr. Scholls for any heel issues. I've used them for both a serious Achilles strain and a bruised heel and been impressed both times. The best part about the design is that they resist sliding, and even when they do, the donut shape maintains a comfortable base for your heel. Other inserts slide and cause irritation, especially when running or playing basketball. I'm a repeat customer and never plan on buying anything else. ProFoot Halo Heel, Men's Fits All, 1 pair (Pack of 4)

Bruised my heel after jumping down and landing hard on it, lots of pain and could barely walk on my left foot for about 2-3 weeks. These worked better than any gel insert or gel heel that I tried (and I tried a bunch). I was able to walk with less discomfort and was noticeably better after about 4 days walking on these. If you have a bruised heel these are a must!

The best heel pad ever - bar none. They stay in place, provide real confort, AND add about 1/2 inch to your height! I don't know if they are still manufactured but I've bought a supply large enough to last the rest of my life. - Heel Cushions'

Iphone Holder - iphone, iphone dock

I have a EVO 4G and ordered this car mount as California law prohibits anything on the windshield.

It was easy to assemble and fit in the vent but not sturdy enough to hold big smart phones. If you have a light (Very Light) and small phone this will be perfect for you.

For PDA/Smart Phone users look for other options. Arkon Removable Air Vent Mount for Mobile Phone and Smartphones (Black)

I was a little pessimistic that a universal mount would work with my new iphone. I also did not think the side arms could really hold my iphone. But I was wrong! Once the phone is in place, you cannot remove it until you press the release button. Two minor quibbles that make this a 5-star product: the clips that go in the the car's vent don't quite hold on to it's place so it could rattle a bit and if you need to plug your iphone into your car charger, you need to plug it first before putting in the cradle.

Holds my Hero in place and position suprisingly well, even during 'spirited' driving. The volume rocker on my phone is held down by the left grip, but not a big deal (once the phone is in place I just turn the volume back up).

The vent mount works fairly well and is as solid a mount as can be had with an automobile vent. The mechanism that traps the phone ratchets securely and disengages when the button on the side is actuated. It is useful for someone that changes phones or phone cases often because it is not form-factor dependent.

I've got a 94 civic and the vents are arranged in a strange position, and this product was able to fit it very nicely. Well thought-out design makes it flexible to fit most situations. Love it.

UPDATE: After about 2 months one of the little clips has lost it's "clippyness". It stays open and now the whole thing does not stay in place. I'll try a rubber band around the clip to try to fix it. Still a good design, just maybe not the best material used.

I ordered this holder because I wanted to use my iPhone4 as a GPS. This works seamlessly when I am using the phone alone. If I want to charge it while its in the holder I have to place the phone upside down since the charger cannot go in from the bottom two supports. If I do that I pretty much loose access to the volume button, power button and the headphones jack. If the design can be modified to allow the phone to be charged and aux cable to be plugged in while its in the holder it would be great. I would also like to suggest change in design of those clips, not the beset of designs.

Overall does the job for me but it can be flawless if these changes are incorporated.

Thanks.

First of all, it works. The big caveat I have is the two supporting pins at the bottom are too close to each other. If you want to connect your iphone 4 (probably also the same case for older iphones and ipod) to the lighter, the width between the two pins are not enough for the connector to pass through. As a result, the iphone is only held by the two side clips. It should be ok if the road is not too bumpy. Otherwise, the phone may fell off.

I got this for my iPhone 4 and it is perfect!! Easy to pop out, just the push of a button. It fit the vents in my Toyota Sienna fine. I have been using it for about a month and would buy, recommend to all!!!

I bought this item, cause i did not want a suction cup holder as they tend to encourage theft. This is easy to hook to my air vents and when placed on the lower vents the bottom attachment hit the dash so there is not much movement when driving. I love the swivel feature!! When using navigation on my phone being able to flip the phone sideways to give me a better map is great.

Overall, this item does and works just like it is advertised.

Could be great - if it didn't break down two times. The first one didn't allow the installation of the prongs that hold inside the vent. Both broke off. The same with the second although I applied some oil to make them glide into position. Finally I drilled a small hole into the prongs and attached them with screws. Now they hold. - Iphone Holder - Mount - Iphone Dock - Iphone'

Thanks.

Ipod Car Mount - car mount, iphone charger

I really wanted to like this product. I actually bought both the LiquidAUX kit and the Deluxe kit. One to use in my car and one on my motorcycle with my iPhone.

I think they worked once or twice with some adjustments. I know people don't like one star reviews and usually mark them as 'not helpful'. Often times they are right because people rate them with one star because the weren't shipped fast enough or some complaint not related to the product. Or they got the one unit that happened to be DOA.

Not the case here. Here's the problems:

When the iPhone firmware was updated recently, it caused problems with the remote operating and the message that the product was not iPhone compatible. Okay, I checked the manufacturer's website and found their workaround. The message did indeed go away, but the remotes still didn't work.

I decided to try my iPod to see if the problem could be caused by the iPhone, but the remotes didn't work with it either. Called Kensington tech support and they told me (in IndiaEnglish) to try replacing the batteries in remote. This after providing them with the serial number (written in illegible microscopic print inside the remote).

To their credit, they told me they would send me two new remotes (or complete units. I really don't understand IndiaEnglish very well). I should have them in 10 to 12 business days. I didn't have to return the old ones, just trash them. This makes me think they probably have had a lot of problems with these products.

My next gripes have to do with the different models:

The standard LiquidAUX kit:

They must be poorly assembled since the first time I used it it would cut out intermittently. If I just touched the wires going into the power plug they would crackle and pop and had to be delicately positioned to work. The extension cable (which you need unless your cigarette lighter is right next to your mini plug socket) has the same problem, but not as bad.

The Deluxe LiquidAUX kit:

This unit relies on a tight fit in your lighter socket, or you won't be able to keep the thing upright. The clamps holding your phone are not very sturdy and difficult to unlatch to get your iPxxxx out. After a short time most of the physical connections loosen up and you need to prop the business end of the adapter against something to keep it from falling.

I bought both units in Lightning Deals so the price wasn't as bad as it could be. But I'd rather pay more and have something that actually works properly. If I was within the 30 day window, I would have returned them buth.

I am not happy with this purchase. Kensington LiquidAUX Deluxe Auxiliary Car Kit with Remote for iPod; iPhone 1G, 3G

I was eagerly awaiting this dock for my iPhone in order to use it in my 2005 Nissan Armada. Previously, I had just been using cables running from an iPhone dock to supply power (via the accessory jack in the Armada's console) and for sound output (1/8" mini stereo cable to aux input on the console). This worked fine, although the dock and phone would fall over on sharp turns.

I connected the LiquidAUX Deluxe to the accessory jack without difficulty, although in the Armada, the jack is recessed about 1.5" deeper than the rest of the console, so that the back of the cradle was actually close to touching some of the console control knobs (like climate control). I noted that the cradle was a bit top heavy, and driving around, particularly over some bumps, caused the power connection in the accessory jack to intermittently disconnect, so that music stopped playing, and the iPhone stopped charging, until I jiggled the connection to restore power. Occasionally, the whole dock would pivot 90 degrees due to the weight at the top.

I do like the ability to adjust the gooseneck and the overall compactness of the dock, which by the way, accommodates both the original iPhone and the new iPhone 3G, although it takes a bit of finagling to get the 3G to seat on the dock connector.

I think I will return the item, and get the LiquidAUX non-Deluxe version, which is the same thing without the gooseneck and dock. I will connect the iPhone and just rest it in the console - I don't necessarily need to see the screen while driving.

This cradle can charge both 2g and 3g iPhones. It sits securely and is not too difficult to dock the iPhone with Apple's proprietary USB connector. Kensington made the USB dock mount adjustable/slide-able. Essentially, when you mount the iPhone/iPod, the USB dock can slide (or stay in place) to an appropriate mount position; hope that didn't sound too confusing. The auxiliary input (as well as the provided extended wire) works well and the wire is lined with a nice "mountain climbing rope" fabric; feels like it was made with high quality materials. It's not made with that cheap rubbery plastic molding that most auxiliary wires come with. The remote works well and mounts well with the steering wheel. However, your hands will need to readjust the new additional peripheral added to your steering wheel.

I love using this mount for the GPS "google" maps mode. I personally think its a great buy for car charging and iphone usage! Now, my car crash percentages have jumped 400%; a bit of sarcasm! - Car Mount - Remote Control - Ipod Car Mount - Iphone Charger'

Hidden Elastic - hidden elastic, pleated

I have been buying different types, various styles and materials used in their pants, for about 5 years. For the price, around $36.00, I can't see where you can get a quality pair of pants that stand up to so many, many machine washings and still look this good. I'm a loyal customer and will only buy their brand. Need I say more? Haggar Men's Mynx Gabardine Dress Pant,Navy,38x29 - Pleated - Wrinkle Resistant - Haggar - Hidden Elastic'

Demolition - milwaukee sawzall, reciprocating saw

I do not use power tools in my line of work. However, I do have an appreciation for good quality equipment. I also believe that having the right tool can make even a home improvement project much more enjoyable. I bought this tool to cut some metal pipes and also some PVC pipes. Sure, I could have done the job with a hack saw. But, using a hand tool would have meant lots of patience and hassle. What would have taken a lot of time, sweat, hassle, and aggravation only took a few minutes with the Sawzall. The unit operated silently and it did not have as much vibration as I had expected for a unit with no counterbalance.A reciprocating saw is a very versatile tool even if you do not intend to do any kind of demolition. In addition to cutting pipes, you can also cut landscape timber and prune trees. Basically, you can use the Sawzall for just about anything that you would normally use a hand saw. The Sawzall came with two blades. One for metal and one for wood. It also came with a wrench to adjust the shoe. All of that came in a red kit box. The high quality kit box itself is made of sturdy, blown red plastic. The power cord is thicker than what I saw in competing brands at the same price range. The red Milwaukee kit box also seems sturdier, and there is a place inside that is specifically designed to hold extra blades. Most importantly, the saw itself looks and feels the way a heavy duty tool should. This kit defines high quality for a reasonable price. There were plenty of DeWalts, Hitachis, and Makitas at Lowe's. I chose the Milwaukee because I wanted to try out their brand. I suspect that any brand would have sufficed for my modest needs. This Sawzall might be a bit of an overkill for my intended use. However, I believe you will not regret buying more quality than you need.It is a hassle to have to drag out the orange extension cord. I chose a corded model because I wanted to have enough run time and power in order to be able to complete any project that might come my way. I was also hesitant to buy a cordless kit which would require a lot more investments in batteries in the future. If your intended use is strictly light duty, then perhaps a cordless model might be a more convenient choice. For its quality, reputation, design, package, and value, this Sawzall gets a five star rating from me. At a price of 119.99, this saw would be tough to beat. The closest competitor, in terms of power ratings, features, and price would be the Hitachi 13V. However, based on what I have seen of Hitachi's cases, I chose the Milwaukee. I place a lot of value on the design and quality of the case, as well as aesthetics. Milwaukee 6509-22 Sawzall 11 Amp Reciprocating Saw

I have an old Sawzall...it came in a metal case rather than a plastic one. Everything mentioned about it in the other reviews is true, it's a very versatile tool. It will seemingly cut through anything...my son whacked off a Master padlock in about five seconds recently. You should plan on buying blades, lots of blades! Because it's so versatile, one is tempted to undertake a cutting task with the wrong blade, which can be frustrating if not dangerous. So always match the blade to the task.

I would not advise this as one's first or only power saw. It's really not meant for long, straight cuts, although you can do them with practice. But as a second saw, for demolition, for large branch trimming, pipe and metal cutting, it's a gem. This is the right tool for so many jobs!

It cuts metal, wood, plastic, plumbing, wood with nails, sheetrock, things burried in the ground. It's simply amazing.

Want to take out a wall with the smallest mess possible? Slip the blade between the studs and cut the nails. Slip the blade between the top plate and cut the nails. Boom, the wall will now push out of the opening with all the plaster or drywall intact (and without all the dust you get from hammering drywall out of the way).

Any of Milwaukee brand Sawzall that has a counterweighted motor (this is important for controlling vibration and being able to cut one handed) is a joy to use.

After I bought one, I wondered how I ever managed to work without one.

I was disappointed in the power of this saw. It's partially my mistake for not getting the "Super Sawzall", but I saw that this was 11 amp, which to me means it should pack a punch. My older Sawzall is 11 amp and it seems to have much more power than this one. Besides this one being weak, it has a really crappy stamped metal foot that I expect will be bent in a couple of weeks work. The cord is short, and not replacable.

For the $40 difference between this and the "Super" Sawzall, which is 13amp and has the better adjustable foot and longer, replacable cord, I would recommend going with the more powerful one, even if you only use it once in a while. If you're using it regularly, this one isn't worth your time.

Milwaukee shouldn't put their name on crap like this.

There is not much to think about here - this is the brand the pro's use and it's for a good reason. Milwaukee sets the bar for all others to reach toward when it comes to reciprocating saws. I did my research like I always do, but this was an easy decision and I'm very happy with the saw. You'll want to pick up some blades before you start a project though. Pick up one of the variety blade sets for starters and then buy bulk once you know what you need.

being an auto techncian for 16 years i know the value of quality tools. time is money! you can buy a lower amp tool for less money but the time and frustation isn't worth it. i use this saw for mostly for metal cutting, and it cuts like a hot knife through butter, so you know what it can do with wood and plastic! Don't get frustrated, buy quality and power-milwaukee! And for the price nobody can touch this sawzall! - Recipricating Saw - Reciprocating Saw - Milwaukee Sawzall - Milwaukee'

Boat Trailer - winches, utv winches

The winch was as advertised, it was an old model but that is to be expected for the price. The fairlead fit the bracket that came with the unit but would not fit the bumper hitch bracket made by the same company. I had to buy a new fairlead to fit the speed fit bracket because the hole centers were different from one bracket to another. I called them and they said that they had changed the fairleads to a standard size so I would have to buy one from them for around $30 even though both brackets were from them and the box said it would fit their 3000 # winch. I guess you get what you pay for.

Randy Champion Power Equipment C30145 Winch Kit - 3,000 Pound Capacity

Ordered this item on a sunday and would have recieved it on Wednesday with standard shipping but due to a snow storm it came thursday! I have burned out two winches of another brand so i am excited to see how this holds up to my abuse. but i can tell already it is built better. the unit is very solid in itself and the control is very well made. the fairlead that came with it seemed a little on the cheap side but i am just using my old one. very easy installation just run two wires to the battery and two wires to the winch. there are even rubber gromits that go over the wire connections that previous more expensive models diddnt have. the free spool clutch works very good my only complaint is when under a load and you stop retracting the cable it gives an inch or two back... i am using this for plowing and when i raise my plow all the way it settles an inch or two after i let off the button. but works very good and is a very quiet smooth motor... Time will tell if it lasts but for the money this is a great deal. - Superwinch - Utv Winches - Winch - Winches'
