I have been looking for a case for my Evo since I got an extended battery! Finally, I came across this case and ordered it immediately. It came very quickly and is perfect! The red is not a bright red, more of a cranberry which I like. Great protection for the Evo. I feel much more secure now that I have this case, and I actually think I will order a black one, just for a different look. If you have an extended battery, you should definitely order this. I purchased both the red and black rubber cases. The case is a good fit for the HTC with extended battery. However my only issue is that the rubber case is somewhat thin and pliable but it does remain fixed to the phone. Another minor issue is that the rubber case is a magnet for lint. However it is easily removed with a quick tap water wash - obviously remove the phone first... Otherwise it meets my needs and plan on keeping both. The price for both was very reasonable. I have purchased several items from the vendor dailypc and have been very pleased with their service.
I purchased the red case and was disappointed in the color and the fit. The color is a muted, unhappy looking red. I buy red because it is a bright and fun color-this was not. The case doesn't stay on the phone well because it is so pliable. It collects whatever lint or dust is in your purse or pocket and without water nearby to rinse it off, you end up with this staying on your phone as you hold it and talk. Not something I want that close to my face. Sorry, it's a no go for me.
It does what it is supposed to for the most part: cover yoru phone.
The thing is when you take it out of your pocket it snags a bit on your screen protector, if you are using one that is.
I will be spending the cash (unfortunately) on an a hard case to accomadate the extra friggin' huge battery the evo requires to be used for any duration longer than a hour.
Prices for silicone cases are all over the place. This one is on the higher-side, but it fits my phone with an extended battery and door cover installed. Don't know that I found an alternative. It could be a bit more snug, but I feel it provides necessary access to buttons and camera, and adds protection.
The only reason a gave 2 stars was because is the only case available for the extended battery, otherwise 1 star. The color should be cranberry red, not red. The rubber is very, very soft. And the other issue is that is very, very easy to install, the same way is to uninstall. If you are going to put the phone on your pocket, make sure they are extra wide pockets, otherwise every time you need to take the phone out, you will need to hold the case so it doesn't come off. This case was made to put your phone in bags or a purse. Definitely not worth $15, more like $4.99. I am fair in my reviews but this case is not worth what it cost.
The Laza silicone case for extended batteries for the HTC EVO (AKA Thunderbolt from Verizon) fits perfectly, and although is branded as for Laza battery and cases only, will fit the Acase extended battery and cover too!
I too was hoping for a brighter shade of red as seen in the photos. But after receiving it have decided that it is great the way it is now. It is not glaringly bright, but just brilliant enough to remind you that you are about to leave it on your counter or desk as you are going out somewhere!
I placed the order with DailyPC on Sunday night. It just showed up in Wednesday's mail. That's great service!
I had looked everywhere for a silicon case for my Evo 4G that would accomodate an extended battery. While I could find them locally, the price was horrid. I looked around on Amazon and found Laza. Not only did I get a red case for my phone but I was able to get a black one from the same company for my husband's. There's a very slight gaping near the back where the kickstand on the back of the phone is, but the case stays on solidly and doesn't slip. I will definitely be getting more idems from this company; the shipping was fast, and the price was very good for a simple silicon case.
I highly recommend these folks for cell phone needs!
