Mini Keyboard - keyboard, mouse combos

I am an on the go supergeek and computer networking instructor. As such I love useful tech, and versatility. This gizmo does EVERYTHING, so I LOVE it! I use it in class with the laser point and mouse, as well as nearly full QWERTY keyboard. (It is missing the F8 to F12 buttons) but I rarely find that annoying. Hands down more versatile than the blue tooth version, so don't buy that one!

Pros: works with ANYTHING that can use a standard QWERTY keyboard via USB (tested on laptops, desktops, Wii, Playstations, Xboxes). Gets about 20+ feet range, so long as there isn't a wireless G/N (2.4GHz) transmitter nearby. The backlit keys are a MAJOR bonus, as sitting in bed at night this is THE keyboard to have. Great for those of us who have really adopted the thumbpad typing style from cell phone use! Better than the blue tooth version, due to compatibility issues.

Cons: Not AES encrypted, so don't use it for banking! Your passwords are ALL transmitted in the clear. If you need/want wireless keyboards with security I recommend the Logitech Wireless Desktop MK250 for Business (yes I own one!) ProMini 2.4GHz Tiny Wireless Keyboard (Built-in TouchPad/Laser Pointer) - Black

The keyboard works well if it has a good line of sight to the receiver. but put anything in its way and response on screen is choppy.

does not have a scroll wheel function on the touch pad.

Nice handy keyboard mouse combo otherwise.

I got this a week ago and it has been going well. I bought this because I am getting some really bad pains in my wrist and I wanted something that I could hold in my hand/lap to type and use as a mouse. I'm not going to be writing a paper or anything with it, but it works well for chatting and posting on fb. I've been using it all spring break and I haven't had any problems. I have yet to even need to charge it up.

The little USB wireless thing sits in the port right next to my USB bluetooth and I haven't had any problems with interference. However, I don't go long distances away from my laptop.

I think it was worth it. I'm not putting any strain on my wrist or hand by using it.

I have my notebook connected to the tv, and before purchasing this device, I would have to get up to type or use my wireless mouse to type with windows on-screen keyboard. Now, no more getting up, and no need for a separate mouse and keyboard. The device is compact, but yet not too small or big. I'd say it's just perfectly sized. There's a rechargeable battery, which lasts pretty long. The box says the battery will last a month, and I think it's fairly accurate. The only thing I can really fault is the slightly high price. However, the product is in a fairly new category, which I would consider to be an early consumer adopter category, so the price is fair at this point in time. I'd recommend this product for anyone that has a computer or similar device connected to a tv, and doesn't want to have to get up to type or move the cursor on the screen. Also, built-in is a laser pointer, which may come in handy for presentations. This product has really helped my situation, and let me just be able to sit back and relax. My laptop has essentially just become a hub, that I control through this device. Lastly, I actually typed this whole review on this product's keyboard! Fantastic!

I order 2 of this item. One as my uncle Christmas gift and one for my home media server. After few weeks play with this toy I could like to recommend my friend to get this item.

Pros:

-Light weight & prefect size for holding with hand.

-Great battery usage time (I using it daily with more than 3hrs per day. Need to be charge after one and half weeks.

-Good range signal (my sofa to TV around 5 meters the signal still mad good no delay)

-Prefect size for typing.

Cons:

None

If you're someone who wants a physical keyboard to use with your device, you might want to look at the Magic-Pro ProMini. It's a full keyboard with a touchpad

that actually rotates and works in either direction. It's one of the only pieces of hardware that's able to do that. It connects by way of a 2.4 GHz wireless network and will fit in your pocket!

The ProMini is a 3-in-1 multimedia wireless keyboard, which has a full keyboard (including function keys), a TouchPad and a laser pointer. It has a built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery. It has a range of up to about 90 feet, and boasts backlit LED lights to help you see in poor lighting environments.

This little keyboard is a great addition to any device. I gotta say... it really is cool. You can lounge in bed and use it to control all of your media without having to get up or move around much. Heck, you can even use it to help you tweet while you're sitting in a meeting and don't want to LOOK like you're tweeting on your phone.

If you know of other (similar) cool devices, let me know about them. I love testing

out and featuring new things here in our community. - Touchpad - Mouse Combos - Keyboard - Bluetooth'
