I ordered this pillowcase in addition to a satin sheet set on Amazon.com. I was skeptical of the colour and possibly staining but when washed and used I did not encounter any colour stain. I purchased a number of satin pillowcases and headcoverings because my fine hair started turning into balls of knots at night. And I started doing vintage hairstyles which require a lot of work and sometimes I like to preserve them, or wet settings overnight. Anyway, I digress, the 100% satin or 100% silk are obviously the best and will leave you snag and tangle free.
These are polyester, like satin. They will do a decent job at a fraction of the cost. However, if you have dry skin they will snag and catch at dry skin. If you just want to protect your hair cheaply, I would suggest a satin sleep cap - they are about $1.98 at discount stores. Unless you sleep next to someone then pop for the case and moisturize.
The product is well made and the zipper is covered by a large flap so I hardly notice it's there. Unfortunately it seems to be aggravating my skin, even after several washes.
I will still continue to use this product but I wish I had shopped around a little more before spending my money on this one.
My mother loves satin pillow cases but has had trouble finding them in stores. I purchased four of them for her in her favorite colors and she loves them! They fit her standard-sized pillows perfectly and launder beautifully. They also have a zipper closure which she likes. The satin finish feels wonderful and for her they are the perfect pillowcase!
I decided to try this because of the reviews saying it helps with frizzy hair and wrinkles on your face. I got it yesterday, washed it, and put it on my favorite pillow. I have to say it's not QUITE as silky feeling as I thought it would be but it's still a dramatic difference to my normal cotton pillow cases.
