I got this cover for my new Samsung Fascinate phone. All the cutouts are in the right places. The one on the volume rocker isn't cut out but I wonder if it's suppose to be that way. It works fine with it there. It looks like you could push it out if you want to. It fits good. Not too tight and not lose at all. I'm not sure if i dropped it in water if it would totally protect my phone since there are cutouts and water could get in the usb slot. This cover fits my Facinate like a glove. It is made of a clear thick hard silicone like material that adds just the right amount of grip while still letting me slide it in and out of my pocket easily. I do not find that it mades the phone bulky. I have had several complements on the way the diamond patterned back looks. It also adds a lip around the front edge of the phone that protects the screen from touching a surface when the phone is set down upside-down. In short, exactly what I was looking for.
My wife bought a few different gel skin and silicone cases for her Samsung Fascinate. This is the case she likes the best. It fits the phone snugly and seems to offer a level of protection from scratches and falls. It also looks pretty good with the checkerboard pattern.
We were able to test the phones dropping protection value this morning when my wife accidentally dropped the phone in the toilet. Yes, the toilet. Luckily she acted quickly and grabbed the phone out of the water. It was still water because the phone swimming incident happened BEFORE the toilet was used. While that situation is not ideal, it is better than the alternative.
The phone banged on the side of the toilet and then splashed in. We immediately removed the gel skin cover and I took off the rear case and pulled the battery. Then we dried it with paper towels and let it sit for the rest of the day. I think the snugness of the case stopped a lot of the water from entering the phone. It is probably not part of the design, but it worked to our advantage today.
My wife put the battery back in the phone (which had been cleaned thoroughly) and it appears to be working perfectly. Although she has been using text and email since turning it on. You don't think she is afraid to hold the phone up against her face, do you?
it is really good quality product however it is NOT clear color as it show in the picuture
I know it was mentioned as clear checker and the picture looks like mostly clear
so I was expecting it would be almost clear as in the picutre
But It is white checker shape design with half clear and half white filled checker pattern.
So when it goes to my black fascinate, it doesn't look good to me
I wanted mostly transparent color as in the picture
please be aware before buying this
I ordered this for my phone thinking "What's three dollars if it doesn't work?"
Luckily though, it does work very well! It is snug as a glove on my phone, and since my phone is the special white edition, it makes it look outstanding. It doesn't add any bulk to the phone and it isn't sticky like similar cases. The only thing that is weird is it does make it a little awkward to unlock my phone because I'm not used to the lock button being covered, but I still love it anyway. Also, it doesn't hinder screen use at all, especially when swype texting! For the price, I definitely reccomend it!
FITS the samsung galaxy s PERFECTLY, with all the holes in the right spot. Only issue is it seems to be turning YELLOW after about a month of use. You know how old plastic can turn yellow when in the sun too much, well, it appears it's slowly happening to this. Maybe it was always that way, but when outside in the sun yyou can clearly see the yellow tinge. Hope it doesn't get worse..other than that FITS PERFECTLY and would HIGHLY recommended
I purchased one for each family member. Perfect fit, easy to handle, good protection, and still slides easily out of my pocket. Price was half of other case I had purchased that constantly fell off. Delivery was very fast.
I bought this to help protect my phone, which it does an excellent job in protecting from scratches. The design in the silicone looks nice also. Easy to put on and take off, which you have to do occasionally to keep it clean.
This is a great protective cover for the Samsung Fascinate, it comes on and off easily so that the battery can be replaced. It's clear so the decalgirl decal I have on the phone shows through.
