This case is of the same quality I saw in the Verizon store but cost me more than $20 less. Verizon wants $20 to $25 for this product whereas on Amazon.com I procured this item for $2.20 including shipping (That's right delivered to my home for a total cost of $2.20. The item I believe was only around $.20 and shipping was about $2.00. This is one the best value purchases I have ever made and would recommend this product to anyone because the case fits perfectly and is in no way inferior to its grossly overpriced counterpart. Buying here ensures Quality and Savings, the shipping was remarkably fast as well, it only took a few short days to receive the item. If you're smart you will never buy a phone case/protector from your cell phone provider location again, but if you have money to waste by all means go to Verizon or AT&T or whatever. I selected this case because it is cheap and has a slick surface. The latter is important because I carry the phone in my pocket and want it to slide in and out easily. I haven't decided and the case that I want permanently so I needed one to hold me over for a while. This one does the trick. The case snapped together on the phone easily and has held securely in the weeks I've been using it. The matte surface on the case has started peeling off a little at one corner. Considering the price I paid, I'm OK with that.
INITIAL IMPRESSION
This case comes with the top and bottom pieces that snap together. There is a ridge that rises above the screen, protecting it from scratching. I wear jeans most of the time and put the Droid X in the front pocket. My first impression was that it did not make the already big phone too bulky. The surface is rubberized, ideal for grip but not that sticky for sliding in and out of the pocket. I liked the feel more than another $20 rubber case from Verizon store. For the price, you just can't beat it.
ONE MONTH LATER
While in my front jeans pocket, the top piece broke due to my squadding down and exerting force on the phone. I was bummed. Fortunately the seller agreed to send me a replacement for free. It took about 2 weeks but I was happy to get another one.
ANOTHER THREE WEEKS LATER
The replacement failed in the same way. The snapping bump in the corner of the top piece wore out/broke, causing the top corner to flair up a bit and receiving more stress from the movement in my pocket. My jeans are not even that tight! I give up.
CONCLUSION
If you are a lady with this phone in the purse, this is a great case especially for the price. If you have it in a tight spot as in my case, it will not hold up to real life usage long.
Okay so I gave it a four star only because if your like me and like to switch up the look of your phone or use the hd dock you need to be able to take the case off but I saw I had to bring out the tools sheesh I thought for a minute I was going to have to go into my cartoon mode and bring out the hammer lol. Overall I dig the slick look of it and the way it protects my phone trust me when I say it is a good product for the cost. Overall will still do buisness with this company. In addition to this if you are curious about if your package will arrive on time I cant speak for you but I did recieve my package within the time it adviced so no worries there you will get the product.
I have to say first off that this is really cheap and in the end you are getting exactly what you paid for. I found that it broke very easily and it wouldn't stay on my phone without a corner of it popping off. Even for the price I can't recommend this, if you can't afford a nice one I do recommend getting something until you can afford a better one, but otherwise just get about a twenty dollar one.
It's really hard to complain too much about this case, because the price is so low. I like the rubberized texture - it's smooth enough to easily get out of my pocket, but rubbery enough not to slide. I have a Skullcandy case for my iPod Touch, and it has been a fantastic case, and I have been trying to find something comparable for my Droid X. This case feels like the Skullcandy case, but is nowhere near as durable.
I wear dress shirts to work, so 5 days a week, I keep my phone in my shirt pocket. On the weekends, I keep the phone in my jeans pocket - my jeans are plenty roomy in the pockets. This case survived about 3 weeks in this environment. It started failing by not staying snapped together. It sucked being in a meeting, pulling out my phone to check the calendar, and slinging half of the case across the table.
After a few times of the case coming apart, it developed a crack on the bottom of one of the halves, and eventually snagged on my shirt and broke into a few pieces. I didn't bother trying to get a replacement because it was $2, and I think I will just get a different brand, if I even get another case. - Droid - Droid X - Case - Droid Case'
