I have one at home and one at the office. The one at the office I use with a second monitor in extended desktop mode. The one at home I use with external keyboard and a single big monitor. Even though the setups are different, they remember all their settings and it is a snap to go back and forth so easily without any extra tweaks.
I should say that I pretty much had to go this route to use my extra monitors, because the EliteBook 6930p output to a second monitor is terrible on it's own. A major flaw in that model in my opinion and others have said the same. But the docking stations delivers a clean signal and solves the issue, albeit an expensive workaround. HP 2008 KP080UT 120 Watt Docking Station
This docking station is extremely easy to setup and use. It makes using your laptop at different locations and or with many peripherals very efficient. You snap in and out the laptop in a second and instantaneously have surged power supply, second monitor (VGA and DVI), speakers (not provided), cable network, up to four USB peripherals, and also 2 PS2 and one parallel port available. I highly recommend it.
This docking station is perfect! Pull it out of the box, plug everything in one time and you're good to go! I received it quicker than I thought I would also. If you're tired of plugging and unplugging a bunch of cables when you use your laptop at your desk (and want to use a standard keyboard and mouse, in addition to a second monitor), then this is the answer!
The docking station worked exactly how I had expected. Allows me to dock my laptop to the station allowing immediate access to keyboard, mouse, monitor, and printer without having to plug in each seperately. - Docking Station - Laptop Docking Stations - Docking Stations - Hp'
