This is a poorly-made headset whose foam earpiece cover falls off and gets lost almost immediatley. Without the foam, you'll have a cold piece of metal in your ear. It's probably better to buy a bluetooth rather than this headset.OEM RIM Blackberry Stereo Hands-free Headset with On/off Button for BlackBerry Curve 8300/ 8310/ 8320 - HDW-14322-001 OEM RIM Blackberry Stereo Hands-free Headset with On/off Button for BlackBerry Curve 8300/ 8310/ 8320 - HDW-14322-001
I bought my first pair of these last May and used them quite heavily every day with my Palm Pixi for phone calls and for listening to music. The microphone worked great and the sound quality was excellent. The End Call button worked fine.
After about 5 months, the wire near the plug began to fray and I began to lose calls and one of the headphones would go out. So I bought a new pair. So I got 5 months of extremely heavy phone and listening usage (we're talking perhaps 8-10 hours a day combined) for under $3? I'll get another!
I bought the current one about a month ago. I'm not using it as heavily as the other set, but I'm keeping it in my purse more. I have noticed some fraying near the plug, but nothing is impacting my phone calls nor my listening yet. If it does, I'll get another pair.
It was cheap (under $5) and works great with my HTC Incredible (Android). Call end button also works too. I am happy with this product, and ordered a couple more just in case I lose it (happens from time to time). I have tried 6 different bluetooth headsets, but I have to say that the wired headset is still more reliable.
Depending on the seller, and how cheap of a knock-off the headset is, you may get a pair that last up to 6 months. Knowing this, I ordered 2 from "The OEM Shop" thinking it was a fair price for 1 year of headset use, however... In less than 2 months, with very little usage, I went through the 2 that I ordered. On the first one the Mic stopped working. The second one, the ear buds and mic stopped working.
While this headset works, I like it a lot, but needing to order one per month is ridiculous.
This is my third one of these things; with the first two I owned, the earpieces broke (covers came off and then the earpieces kind of came unscrewed). On top of that, the cord gets all tangled up whenever I try to use this thing. It's a nightmare to try to pull out of my purse when my phone rings, for example. I would not order it but for the fact that, at least to my knowledge, this is the only one that fits my model of Blackberry, and the phone itself is so small and flat I find it hard to talk on. (i.e. trying to balance it when one or more of my hands are busy driving, doing dishes, etc.) So I do use this product, but...it drives me nuts.
These are OK for a quick phone call, they are VERY cheap quality. The sound is good, but the ear protectors will not stay on. My husband loves them for work, he can listen to his music and still be able to answer the phone but touching the button. He super glued the ear covers on and has not had a problem since. If you are looking for a cheap pair to keep in the car for short calls I think these are fine, but if you will be on the phone a lot I would recommend a different pair. - Blackberry - Curve - Cell Phone Headset - Headset'
