I purchased this skin along with a Kindle as a gift for my wife. Having gone down the road with all sorts of technology in the past, I'm painfully familiar with various brands of clear film screen protectors for my phones, palms and so forth, so I was really, really fearing trying to line up this skin with the gazillion buttons of the keypad on the Kindle. I mean, I usually burn through at least one or two sheets of clear film before I get a clean, bubble free finish with the proper alignment, and that's on a blank square screen. But I knew how much it helps having a sacrificial layer to protect from the inevitable knocks and scrapes, so I took a deep breath and figured I'd figure it out somehow or die trying.
When the skin showed up, I was really impressed with the quality. The graphics and color are truly stunning, and the stock has a pleasantly matte finish which ought to help hide fingerprints. However, what really blew me away was how easy it was to stick this skin on. The material has just enough give to form around the curves and swells of the device, and yet just enough stiffness to keep Van Gogh from turning into Dali. The sheet has enough tack to stick well, but not so much that I couldn't readjust a bit when I got out of line. I even got the face side to fit around all the buttons, and I didn't utter a single curse word the whole time!
All in all, count me as a new fan. I've already ordered skins from Decal Girl for my daughter's Nook.

I ordered this with my birthday Amazon giftcard. After reading the reviews for other similar sellers, I decided on DecalGirl. After receiving it, I'm not sorry. The colors are vibrant and the printing is clean & crisp. There are instructions included, that if you follow, you'll have no trouble.
I have to say I was skeptical about putting this onto my Kindle with all those key cutouts. It was a lot easier than I thought it would be and it took me like 5 seconds to get it right. I think the best technique is to get one corner lined up and gently lay the rest out (Don't press it down yet!). Then starting back at the original corner smooth the skin out, making minor adjustments as you go. That way its bubble free with minimal movement.

Amazing covers, give a nice eye catcher look to the Kindle... only reason I am giving a 4 star is because i tried to stick it to the kindle a few times, but could not get it fit perfectly, each time I would misalign it at some corner. Definitely a good buy and a good investment to protect your kindle if you can stick it perfectly.
What can I say except I love my Kindle Skin! It fits perfectly and has a really nice feel to it. Not sure how the installation was as I got someone more patient than me to put it on. He did a fine job and it lines up great. Splurge and treat your Kindle to a unique cover.
It's a big decision to get the right skin for your new Kindle and this was the perfect one for me. It looks even better than the picture and the quality is exceptional. Its so easy to put on, you can move it around to get a perfect fit. I love it !
This decal is a perfect way to customize your Kindle. I was surprised about the quality and ease of application of the skin. I am very nit-picky and am usually hard to please, but this skin has exceeded my expectations and is worth the investment! I love the way this looks juxtaposed to my apple green Kindle cover! BTW, I was so pleased with this product that I purchased the black (really charcoal) woodgrain for my husband's Kindle!
This is a very nice decal that fits your Kindle 3G Wireless Reading Device, Free 3G + Wi-Fi, 3G Works Globally, Graphite, 6" Display with New E Ink Pearl Technology perfectly. It came in good packaging with clear three step instructions, which are all that were needed.
I applied the skin rather easily, actually only having issues with getting the back piece perfectly aligned and free of bubbles. It looks wonderful on the Kindle and has stood up to being pried loose and then reapplied several times to get it just right. The skin has also held up to clicking and snagging (side buttons) on my nails which was a nice surprise.
I would suggest any of these products to those looking for a nice way to protect their Kindle from scratches and wear while also making it look quite nice. It would be wise however to apply this with a strong light and a great deal of patience if you don't get it put on precisely right the first time.
