I have purchased about 10 of these kits over the last year or so and can fix a iPhone screen in about 15 minutes. Many people will give less stars or talk about the difficulty of using this product but if you look at what is being sold and advertised you have to rate it a 5 star product.
The difficulty of repairing an iphone screen comes with a few learning curves as the first screen I replaced cracked when I put it back together so I had to buy another piece of glass. This product literally saved me sooooo much money. My iphone screen was literally shattered. I even called at&t and asked how much it would cost me to fix it and they told me 299. They also told me I had to mail it in for them to fix it and that the 299 wasn't including the mailing costs. Then I ordered this product. It took a really long time for it to get to me but it was sure worth it. All you have to do is go on youtube and find videos on how to acutally take your phone apart. It wasn't hard at all. It comes with all the tools you'll need. I even reordered this product because my friend also dropped her iphone and I fixed it using the same product.
1) sent me the wrong glass I ordered the 3G glass and received a 3GS
2) Digitizer was not included!
3) waste of money and time I had to wait for this item,
Ended up having to go to a shop to get it fixed.
The glass and digitizer works great. My only advice is that if you're going to buy this, you should get 2. Reason is these little tools are mass produced and not all of them come out right, and from my experience. One kit was perfect. The other however the mini philips screw driver was no good and so was the suction cup.
This is really not hard to put in i watched a video on youtube to learn how. you just have to make sure you are careful with the lcd durning the swap and pull the lcd side rails away to remove it. my only complaint is that my light censer doesn't work. not sure if it is from the glass screen or just my phone. so all in all this part is better than paying for a new phone. - Iphone 3g - Iphone Glass Screen - Iphone Screen Repair - Iphone 3g Glass'
