Blackberry Original Headset - blackberry original headset, stereo headset

I own a slew of headphones and earphones ranging in listening comfort and sound quality from bad to great. The sound quality and comfort of this BB headset are closer to the great side. Good highs and reasonable bass, callers sound better than on the normal speaker in the phone, and callers hear me well. The small microphone is located at the right place on the wire to maximize clarity.

I use this as my MP3 player while mountain biking. When I get a call on my BB Flip it automatically stops the music and I hear the caller. I can also end the call without digging the phone out from my pack. I like that the right bud has a red mark to signify its ear location, and the included shirt clip can change position to best control the movement of the wire. Premium Blackberry OEM Original 3.5mm Stereo Headset HDW-15766-005 for RIM BlackBerry 8900 Curve, Storm 9530, Pearl Flip 8220, 8300 Curve Cell Phone

RIM should be packaging this in the box with all new Storms! Regular ear buds have never fit into my ears so I decided to pick these up as a replacement for $6 and I'm very happy with them. The sound quality is very good while playing music and since they slip into your ear they do a great job of blocking outside noise as well. I also use Bose in ear head phones and while the sound quality of these OEM headphones isn't quite as good, it is close. Even low tones come through very cleanly, in fact I'm listening to Pandora radio on my Blackbery Storm right now and instead of through my computer speakers because the sound quality is so clear.

I must have a weird ear shape because most round ear buds will not stay in my left ear but these stay while running and shaking my head. I can even pull quite hard on the wires and the ear piece will not come out. The headphones come with 3 different sizes of ear piece so they will fit most ears.

The mic quality is reported as good from the people I have talked to on the phone.

Be advised the wires from the jack to the ear phones are relatively short, I prefer this since most long wires do nothing more than get in the way, some people may have an issue with that. I am 6' tall and while standing, running, sitting etc I haven't had an issue with the wires being too short or tugging at the ear piece in any way.

They have a nice clean look. Black with silver accents and the Blackberry logo on the ear piece.

Great buy if you use headphones on your phone a lot.

This is exactly what I was looking for. No batteries to run down, no set up. Simple and for me, I wanted the soft ear plugs. The original headset/ microphone which came with the Blackberry had hard ear buds which I found to be uncomfortable. This headset solved that problem for me. I find it has good sound quality and the people can hear me clearly. MUCH clearer than with a bluetooth headset or visor speaker at road speeds. Also, the price was right.

I'm using a Blackberry Pearl Flip that has the 3.5mm headphone jack, these buds sound about the same as the Panasonic HJE50 buds I was using with a 2.5mm adapter/mic with my previous regular Pearl that had a 2.5mm jack. Strong but not overwhelming bass, good mids, clear treble and comfortable with the three sizes of silicone ear inserts (I'm using the mediums). They get more than loud enough with the Blackberry Flip, I can't keep them turned all the way up for any length of time.

Cord length seems about right for me (5'11'') with the phone on my belt in the Blackberry pouch, not too much slack to get tangled on everything and not so tight the cord pulls the phones from my ears. The phones seem pretty well made with good quality materials, there isn't a great deal of noise transmitted from the cord to the earpieces when you move, unlike some other buds I've had. The little shirt clip is nice because you can pull the buds from your ears and just let them dangle without them trailing on the ground.

For the price I paid here on Amazon they are a very good value, I had nearly three times as much in my Panasonics and the 2.5mm mic adapter for my previous phone..

I use this headset mainly for listening to music while being able to answer calls. The headset has a decent sound quality. Decent treble and bass but muddy mid range. Actually the mids are below average. Perhaps a music player on the BB with an equalizer could correct some of the sound. If you're used to hearing music through better headsets like Sennheiser, you will be disappointed. But for the price, I'm happy with the quality and performance. Definitely better than the one that came in the box. It has very good sound isolation and one of the three ear pieces should provide a good fit. If you are looking for a decent headset with mic for your Blackberry, this one should satisfy.

I ordered these for my BB Storm, and the sound quality is WAY better than expected. They really do sound like a more expensive set of IEM's. BlackBerry should have kept these as the standard issue for their devices, as they really accentuate the wonderful sound they produce. I've also tried them w/my iPod Touch 2G, and my Cowon D2 - same result - FANTASTIC!!!The cord is a bit short, but that's a plus for me. Try them, you cant go wrong. - Stereo Headset - Earbuds - Blackberry Original Headset - Earphones'
