Dvd Player - samsung, hdmi

This upconverting DVD player is very small and slim and lightweight. The quality of the picture on my new plasma TV is excellent. I compared the same DVD played on my previous (5 years old) Samsung player with this player and the difference was obvious.

I'm guessing this improvement is due to two reasons: the upconverting process plus the HDMI output. The player also has Component and Composite outputs, but the picture is much better using an HDMI cable to the TV. One slim cable for excellent picture and sound compared to the five bulky cables required by my previous player -- that is also a big improvement. Samsung DVD-C500 Upconverting DVD Player (Black)

I was looking for a new DVD player, one that is region-free and compatible with WMA and AVI files. Well, I did not see any way to make it region-free; the manual says nothing about this, although this player came up in a search for "multi-region DVD players." (And I don't have the necessary tools to activate a code remotely.) Also, it does not play AVI files. Perhaps it was my mistake for not verifying this, but for some reason I thought that it was supposed to. I might have ignored these things if it's regular functions didn't bother me. The most annoying thing is the high-pitched whine that starts whenever starting a regular DVD. (Tried multiple discs.) I've had a number of players and never had that happen. The buttons on front are very basic - only power, open/close, and play. You can't even stop the player. Also, you can only open/close if the power is on, while on other players I've had, that button will also automatically turn the power on. The control isn't very intuitive, and when skipping forward or going to the next or previous chapter, an annoying info box comes up on the screen. In short, this has limited functionality, seems cheaply made, and has some unappealing nonessential features.

The DVD picture looks very sharp via the HDMI cable. Only problem is that it's quite noisy when a DVD is playing inside the machine. If you can deal with a slight hissing noise (emitting from player), get it. If not, you should look for another product.

With my new Samsung 1080p 120Hz 40" LCD TV, DVD's look better with the Samsung upconverting player than with the generic 720 player. The pans look smoother than in the cinema, and it is compact and easy to use with an intuitive menu. The price on Amazon was good, too. Very satisfied.

This player playing on my new Samsung LCD tv looks great. The upconvert and hdmi connection make a difference versus playing movies on my old memorex DVD player. I've only had it close to 2 months but so far its worked well, at first I had a problem with playback which I found out to be amazon's basic 6' hdmi cable, but with the other cable I'm using it works perfect. The quality of the build doesnt seem superb, but exceeds my expectations for the price I paid (I believe it was $25 at the time.)

This Samsung DVD player is fantastic. It has a super picture even on DVD's recorded at 6 hours. I record my favorite TV programs at home. I purchased two other players, Panasonic and Toshiba, and both players would skip and cause the audio and video to go out of sync when I would play back DVD's recorded on another machine. This Samsung works perfectly. I like that it resumes playback where it was stopped, even when the player is turned off. It also displays the current chapter, total chapters, and other disk info when you skip forward.

I purchased this item a few days after Christmas and Before MLK day(less than 3 weeks) the power, chapter back and forward, fast forward and rewind buttons on the remote stopped working but the drawer open/close, pause etc still work. Other conplaints are the size of the more commonly used buttons are TINY. Who uses the EZ view(whatever that does) Subtitle or Marker(whatever that does) buttons on a remote more than a pause or rewind??? Well the Subtitle, EZ View etc buttons are 2x the size of the pause/fast forward etc buttons!!!! Also it claims to be dust proof-Wrong. On the positive side it has a good picture and looks good IMO. It also powers off after about 5 mins on pause. I have never found a uni-remote that will operate every product properly so I must count on each products own remote to work-which this one does not!!! - Samsung - 1080p - Hdmi - Dvd Player'

Learning Remote - programmable, universal remote control

I went from hating this remote and being really sorry I had purchased it, to liking it. There is truth to all the reviews, I found, and so I hope this one will be useful. While I would not classify myself as being technically inclined, I don't think I am a complete dufus, owning many, many gadgets/ electronics and having had no trouble in the past. Thus, I thought that programming this could not be so bad. How wrong I was. It really was painfully slow for me, with a lot of trial and error, exactly because of the absence of the manual. With hindsight, I think the quick start guide was trying to tell me many things, but in a slightly abbreviated form, and sometimes with crucial or helpful steps missing. Like many poorly written instructions or bad teachers, these assume a certain knowledge, and also that one can fill in the blanks. If you fall into that category of being able to make some leaps without detailed instructions, or you are good at reading between the lines of general instructions, you will have no trouble. Otherwise, take the attitude that the setting up has to be done just once (however slow and painful) and THEN comes the good part. The macros (quick start tries to explain these -- sort of) are exceedingly useful. Buttons are easy to learn, based on their layout and their different shapes. You can teach any button to learn anything within a device category, and you have the capacity to re-label everything also. You can choose the brightness of the color screen. And so on. You end up with a very useful item which is exactly what it is: a Universal Remote Control.

Update: I have added the Roku to the list of devices and have used the volume and channel cut and paste functions, thus one is able to do favorite channels and change volume super easily. Also, when programming macros, make sure to do a practice run and jot down the exact steps, taking nothing for granted, THEN program the macro on the URC. Universal Remote Control URC-R50 Digital R50 Universal Remote Control

I ended up buying a HD-TV and a new DVD-VHS for the family and set them up just before Christmas. Ended up with 4 remotes just to watch TV in the the evening. I did some background research and found this new remote from Universal Remote that seemed to fit the bill to consolidate all the remotes. there are not many instructions included in the package but it stated the instructions were built into the remote. I was able to set up all 4 remotes into this one within less than 1 hour and I am not experienced in this. The TV code was the first one the "computer" selected in the remote and with some testing it worked fine. The Cox cable box remote worked fine and was able to verify that it worked in getting the "pay per view movies" channel. The TIVO (TM) was also preprogrammed into the remote and had built in all the buttons the same as in the TIVO remote. Impressive. The DVD-VHS remote was also coded correctly and works fine. Each selection of a code the remote provides instruction of how you can test the individual equipment to make sure it has the right code before proceeding.

The one negative is that I tried to program a macro but was not able to do it from the instructions included or those provided in the remote. I knew all the steps I wanted but could not get from one devise to another while programming the remote. I may call the help line when I get a chance.

The button layout to me is fine. With the small screen, and so many other touch screen found in electronics, I am tempted to touch the screen rather than the adjacent button. I'm sure that will be in the next generation.

Impressive and it did work. I'm not an electronic geek so can't compare to other remotes.

I really like this remote control. URC did some really clever things when putting this product together. There are some draw-backs to this product that I will discuss in greater detail, but none of those issues are significant enough for me to not recommend this device to most users. On the whole I'm very glad I bought this device. I replaced a Logitech Harmony 880 with the URC R50, and I honestly believe it was the right decision for me.

Everyone who has ever used a Logitech Harmony Remote knows that programming a universal remote with your computer is quick and easy. For most users the Harmony software gets the job done and they never consider the possibility that there may be a better alternative out there. This class of consumer is willing to accept the limitations that comes with using the Harmony product to program their remote. I am not one of those consumers.

After using the Harmony 880 for five years I learned a few things that are worth knowing about universal remotes:

1) Rechargeable batteries are annoying.

The Harmony 880 uses a table top dock to charge the batteries on their remotes. Over time the connection between the dock and the remote becomes less true, and eventually I had to balance another remote on top of the harmony to weight it down into the dock so that it would charge. The URC R50 uses batteries, and those batteries can be replaced. The R50 also offers 18 hours of continuous button mashing with 4 AA batteries, or months of normal intermittent use. The URC R50 also has a time out kill switch that will put the remote on standby if one button is pressed continually for more than a minute. In other words, battery saving features make this remote a good alternative to remotes with rechargeable battery packs.

2) With the Harmony software comes certain limitations.

Using the Harmony software means you have to follow their rules. Don't get me wrong, I like the simplicity of the Harmony software, but I never felt like I had complete control over what is displayed on the remote. The URC R50 isn't a perfect solution, and it too has limitations in what it will allow you to do, but in my opinion, being able to modify my remote configuration without having to turn on my computer is nice. All my macro setup and testing was done in my living room so there was no running back and forth from my computer to my entertainment center to test the remote's configuration. It may be a bit more time intensive to setup the URC R50, but the pay-off is worth the time investment.

3) Hard Buttons vs. Soft Buttons.

This is a personal preference issue that you won't know you have an opinion on until you've used a remote for more than a year. But I learned after using the Harmony 880 for four years that I really HATE hard plastic buttons on remotes. The Logitech remote may look very sleek and stylish, but in your hand it's just a button mashing device, and those hard buttons aren't finger friendly. The URC R50 has soft rubber buttons the conform more the interaction with the human hand. The surfaces aren't smooth and sleek like the Harmony, but it gets the job done. After a few years of using the Harmony 880, I also discovered that hard plastic buttons don't "wear" well over time. After three years many of the buttons no longer triggered their programmed function. I don't know about the longevity of the R50, but Universal Remote Control has a stellar reputation for making good devices. I guess I'll know more in three years.

4) The weaknesses in the URC R50:

-- The R50 doesn't come with verbose instructions or a detailed manual containing a code library. All configuration is done on the remote full color LCD display. There are tips and hints built into the remote, but the lack of comprehensive instructions might be challenging for the average user. As a tech savvy user, I saw this as a challenge which ultimately I over came. If you are stifled by a lack of detailed instructions, this may not be the remote for you.

-- Because there is no Make/Model code guide, you have to run through a series of trial and error to test which code works best with your devices. The good news is that this process is relatively painless, but as I said before... it can make setup a bit time consuming. My advice: Don't accept the first code that comes along and happens to work with your device. Keep testing until you find one that is a really good fit for all the features and functionality of your device. This can mean reconfiguring the remote a number of times until you find the "right" code kit, but it's not difficult to make a change, so there's no reason not to play with the settings until you find some that you really like.

-- Macros require that you know all your desired device settings prior to intitiating the "Recording Mode" for setting up a new macro. Essentially you start the Macro setup process, then run through the process of clicking the functions you want executed as part of the Macro. When you're finished you click the "Done" button, and the functions you clicked are saves as a Macro. This can mean multiple attempts to setup of a particular Macro if you have fat fingers, or make a mistake half way through. I didn't find it too difficult.

-- Unlike the Logitech Harmony remotes, the URC R50 does not have "last state memory". It simply executes macros as you programmed them. This means that if you have 2 s-video inputs on your television, and two different devices are hooked up using S-video from your receiver, when you use the macro to switch between the two devices you will switch inputs on your TV from S-video 1 to S-video 2... (or any duplicated input on your display). I solved for this by simply putting a source selection button configured into every device on my R50. If the incorrect input is selected, I can correct it with my pre-programmed source select button. Harmony wins on this point because they have a built in "Help" feature that will auto-correct issues for you. That was a very nice feature, but with the solution outlined above, I don't feel like I will miss it.

-- The above lack of "state memory" also applies to power state. This means that when you switch from your Xbox360 to your Blueray player, your Xbox may not turn off without programming that into your macro for the switch. Otherwise you will have to turn off ALL devices before you switch to a new device. This is a configuration issue that can be resolved with clever macro programming, but it is a bit tiresome.

After all these consideration outlined above, I still think that the URC R50 is a great device that, with the proper amount of patience and clever macro configuration, can result in a powerful remote that can control every device in your entertainment center. It has a very powerful IR blaster that works really well under almost every living room condition I've thrown at it. At the end of the day I prefer the R50 to my old Harmony 880. - Learning Remote - Remote Control - Programmable - Universal Remote Control'

Mens Boxer Briefs

My mother-in-law doesn't know why both her boys abandoned the "tighty-whities" but this is why. Husband chose these before we met. It's my job to keep him in them in perpetuity, and hope that the colors in the combo packs work. He did get a red pair about a year ago that he tried to wear to work his first day. I said no way the EMT's were going to catch him in "Santa pants" if he gets into an accident on his way to his first day of work! Now they're more muted in black, navy and evergreen. Much better. They keep their shape and survive lots of laundering, so thanks for the new batch! Hanes Mens Dyed Boxer Brief (Pack of 4) Assorted Colors, Large

I found these boxer briefs very comfortable they fit well. I used to wear boxers exclusively, but I picked these up for use at the gym. They made me a convert and I started wearing them all the time. The reason they only get 4 stars is that I've since discovered the Hanes ComfortSoft Boxer Briefs and moved on to those as the waistband on the ComfortSofts earns the 5th star.

Got tired of the "bunching up" issues with boxers. Utterly despide regular underwear so I figured I'd spend the $13 bucks on 4 pairs of these and see how it goes. I absolutely love em. Just as long as my boxers but no bunching up. They aren't too tight either.

Order was $13 bucks total. Thats including shipping. I'm buying more!!

I used to buy the Hanes boxer briefs about every few months. The reason is because they're great for the first couple months but after that, having gone through several washings and dryings they begin to thin out and develop holes in the crotch area. I found the solution and will share it with you. Go to Target, find some Merona brand boxer briefs and buy them. I've had these things forever and they're just as good and comfortable as the Hanes or Fruit of the Loom brand (which incidentally do the same crotch thinning thing) only the Merona brand never thins out or deveolps holes in the crotch area like those do.

Not a huge fan. I just don't find them very comfortable, and they fit rather large I think. Someone suggested Merona, I think Champion is also a great brand. Hanes makes terrific shirts, don't care much for these though.

The elastic waistband rumples, the threads fray, and they generally fall apart. I love the Hanes premium ones--and I guess their idea is to get you to waste your money on the cheap ones and then upgrade. Well, it worked...but hopefully this review saves you from the waste-money part.'

M-edge - case, kindle jacket

Amazon seems to take forever to ship this case compared to other cases.

This case is sturdy, it's made of some type of canvas material and has enough padding to protect the kindle. The inside is lined with some type of microfleece material so your screen wouldn't get scratched.

After having the kindle without a jacket, I've realized that i like reading it naked but after holding it up in this case, i could go either way. it's lightweight although you'll still notice a slight difference in weight when reading in this compared to holding the kindle by itself.

I like that it zips around to give complete protection from dust and other particulates that could slip in.

I folded the cover round the back easily and was able to zip it. however, you have to keep adjusting the zipper once you convert it back to the normal way. I still like that you can fold around and zip it because it allows me to hold the kindle with one hand and read.

The power cord and AC adaptor fit into the pouch in front without any issues and i was able to zip it without any problems. it does bulge but it bulges a little outward and none towards the inside where the kindle is at. I didn't like reading with the cord and AC adaptor in because i feel it adds a little amount of weight (it might not be noticeable to you). I think it's definately good for transporting those cords.

There's some type of pocket at the back where the m-edge illuminator light can fit. it has another slot underneath that. maybe you can slip a business card or a note card there or perhaps a car key.

Zipping is a tad tight around the corners but it's not a pain.

The only thing i have some issues with is that the fastener at the top left corner feels loose but then i've given my kindle the shaking test where i held it over my bed and shook it up and down once and it slid out of the top left corner. That fastener right there feels loose so i think i'll have to exchange it.

I got this because while i love to read my kindle naked, but there are times and places where i want to read it in a case and i don't want a cover that permanently attaches to the kindle. I wanted something versatile so i could go back and forth as i please. This case seems to fit the bill. If you need a strong and sturdy case for transporting your kindle, this is it. if you get one where you don't have a defective fastener at the top left corner, then you're in good shape. I believe one of the previous two reviewers had the same issue with his case. It may be a manufacturing defect, i don't know. Don't let that deter you from buying this. I'll update when amazon sends the replacement. Hopefully, the left corner for that one fits well.

Did i say the navy is a lovely blue color?!

Peace. M-Edge Latitude Kindle Jacket, Purple (Fits 6" Display, Latest Generation)

After not being able to get this product shipped to Aussie with Amazon , I purchased this jacket from the people at M-Edge where service was brilliant.

The cover feels so nice, not bulky at all.

I love the idea of being able to zip it up and put it in my handbag without getting it scratched.

The zips are excellent quality and move very freely.

It holds my K3 very securely, is made of excellent quality materials and is an overall superb product.

I have given it 5 stars as i just cannot find a negative about it.

I had this for my Nook and now I have it for my 2 Kindle's (3rd generation). The first one i got was perfect. The 2nd one (for my 2nd Kindle) had a problem securing the Kindle in the top left corner. M-Edge's brilliant customer service replaced it immediately and the new one is great. I think they should use the same fasteners at the top as they use on the bottom, not sure why they don't as they feel more secure, but it's still the best Kindle case out there. I love it and would 100% recommend it.

As soon as I found this cover available for preorder on amazon, I ordered it. It arrived yesterday and I'm delighted with it. I have the M-Edge Latitude cover for my Kindle 2, and was disappointed not to find it available when I ordered my Kindle 3G Wireless Reading Device, Free 3G + Wi-Fi, 6" Display, Graphite, 3G Works Globally - Latest Generation.

I bought a nice plum colored carrying case instead, and didn't regret it. That case protected my Kindle from being dirtied (or worse) by spilled food at a cookout. But that kind of case has a serious drawback for me. Because I have to remove the Kindle from it in order to read, I have two things to keep track of: the Kindle and the case.

Part of the genius of this M-Edge Latitude Kindle jacket, is that it stays attached to the Kindle at all times. I just flip it open to use the Kindle, then flip the front cover back into place and zip it closed when I'm done. There's nothing separate to slide off my lap while I'm reading, or to be placed somewhere else while the Kindle's in use. And then located again when I'm done. (If I'm reading at home, chances are I'll finish a Kindle session in a different room from where I started it, meaning I have to go fetch the case from wherever I was when I took the Kindle out of it.)

The newest generation Kindle is the first one (I've also owned the K1 and the K2) that I don't mind reading when it's not fastened into a cover. It's small and light enough, and the back is grippable enough, that I don't fear it slipping out of my grasp. After spending a few weeks reading my new Kindle that way, I wasn't sure how I'd like going back to using it in a jacket. But this jacket is lightweight and snug-fitting, and doesn't get in the way. I'm adjusting to it just fine.

The other very important aspect of this Kindle jacket, is the all-around protection it provides when closed. I can slip my Kindle, in this jacket, into a purse or tote bag with no fear that some stray object might slip into the case through an open edge, and damage the Kindle.

The K2 version of the M-Edge Latitude was a perfect solution for carrying and using my Kindle 2. I'm equally pleased with the new M-Edge Latitude for my third-generation Kindle. - Kindle Accessory - Case - Kindle Jacket - M-edge'

Excercise Bike - schwinn 240, recumbent bikes

I just bought this bike a few weeks ago to help with recovery from a surgery and I couldn't be happier with it. Fortunately, I also bought it while it was nearly 50% off (Amazon is the best). I got the bike within a week and all the parts were included and in great shape. One of the hinges of the fan attachment had broken off, but a little bit of super glue fixed that in a couple of minutes and it works fine. It took nearly two hours to put the thing together because there are so many parts to this bike, but anybody with patience can do it. Once together, it was clear that the parts were high quality, it looks like it was well made. It's completely silent except for a little whirring when changing difficulty levels. I consider myself to be quite athletic and the programs are definately challanging. There are a lot of programs to choose from and you can set up a personal profile that saves all your information. I think the calorie counter is a little low, but most exercise equipment underestimates the number of calories burned. I'm tall enough (5' 9") that I can see over the console to watch tv, but a shorter person might have trouble with this. A shorter person might also have some trouble with the back rest as it doesn't go low enough for the lower back support to sit squarely in my lower back, but I've found that a cushion remedies this well. I haven't tried all of the features but the heart rate moniter and the fan work great. Overall, I'm extremely happy with this purchase and would highly recommend it. Daniel Radcliffe - harry potter, family films

My 7 year old daughter recently discovered the Harry Potter movies while they were on TV one weekend. I wanted to get her all the movies that were out this far (1-7) but did not want to pay individual DVD prices for each one. Then I found this set on Amazon for this great price. This set does only have the 7 movies on DVD (7 individual DVDs) no extra DVDs come with it. Some of the DVDs do have a few "extras" but not all. This is a great set if you are looking just to get the movies. My daughter loves them and even my husband and I have grown a liking to Harry Potter. Harry Potter Years 1-7 Part 1 Gift Set [Blu-ray]

I've read a few reviews on this product, and the reviews that had low ratings were because they didn't see why you would purchase this collection. I understand you probably wouldn't buy this if you already had all the DVDs or even for that matter a couple of the VHSs. The reason I would buy this is because I don't have a copy of any of them for myself, and getting all of them so far in Blu-ray format is a plus. Now I know you might think, "then why not wait until that last part of "The Deathly Hallows" comes out, because they are just going to put them all in a box then." You have a valid point, but at the same time it isn't that big of a deal to me to get these ones now and then just buy the single when it comes out later. Either way if you are looking for a collection and want them all in Blu-ray format, and you can't wait until the very last one comes out on tape, then buy it.

This was an amazing find! This was the cheapest I've found it anywhere including stores and online. I ordered and received it well before the expected delivery date. It was a great way to prepare for the final movie. I would definitely recommend ordering from this site.

Harry Potter Years 1-7 (part one) was purchased for a movie-marathon for 5 HP-crazy boys who have read the books, were involved in a research project, and now planned a sleep-over to view the first movies before going to see the final one in the theater. This Harry Potter set was perfect for this purpose, as the boys wanted to get through all the movies in 2 days (with very little sleep!).

The only downside: This set doesn't include a bunch of extras, so if that's what you are interested in, don't get this.

THIS REVIEW IS EDITED BECAUSE OF A COMMENT FROM A READER.

THE ORIGINAL: I am an avid Harry Potter fan. I own all of the books and movies purchasing as far back as vhs, then DVD and now Blu-ray. The plus for the set is the Blu-ray itself is beautiful viewing, really clean and lively colors BUT, anyone who has viewed the earlier copies will notice that many scenes have been dropped and others added. Scenes I notice missing are not even in the deleted scenes. Anyway, lots of changes I've noticed in all of the movies in this set AND, WHAT IS VERY INCONVENIENT IS, THERE ARE NO SCENE SELECTIONS AVAILABLE IF YOU STOP THE MOVIE FOR OVERNIGHT. I have hunted thru all the settings and find no way to set up scene selections and so have decided they are non existent. ALSO, after purchasing a large screen to improve viewing pleasure, I can tell you the wording in the extras are much too small for reading (our screen isn't the biggest but it is 42 inch) plus the fancy fonts makes reading them even more difficult. A really poor choice from the developers of this series or for that matter any extras on any DVD. TO THE POWERS THAT BE, WHAT IS THE PROBLEM YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND WE CAN'T SEE THAT LITTLE STUFF AND TO MAKE IT WORSE YOU PUT IT ON PATTERNED BACKGROUNDS. A real shame for some of us who enjoy the extras as well as the movies. I had thought about returning the set as there are so many changes in the movies I wasn't sure I was happy not being told of them in the advertising but decided that some of the changes are good overall. Anyway, that about covers my thoughts on this particular set. Beautiful to look at but unexpected changes and poorly planned mapping of the Blu-ray for us, the viewer. For the price they should have included the original movies along with the changed versions so we could make a choice for watching, ALSO THE SCENE SELECTIONS WOULD BE GOOD. Signing myself, IRRITATED.

THE EDIT: The helpful comment from a reader was that he had purchased the set and not had the same scene selections issues. I went back into my set spending a lot of time with the TV Wand and settings. I discovered that there are, hidden scene settings for these Blu-ray DVDs. I don't know why they didn't show up and they have been difficult to discover, not an easy format of programming in this Blu-ray set at least not for me. I have very little problem, usually, and why this particular set is a problem I don't know but I do want readers and possibly buyers to know, I WAS WRONG PER THIS PARTICULAR INSTANCE; THERE ARE SCENE SELECTIONS. Wishing things would always be easier in the programming of the DVD we purchase but guessing it will take more study on my part to discover EASY and proficient. Thanks for reading. RSBlain

I purchased the 7 video set of all of the Harry Potter movies in preparation for going to the theater to see the last in the series, part 2 of the Deathly Hallows. We wanted to refresh our memories as to what happened leading up to the last one. We're watching 1 or 2 a week and it's so nice to have them all together. There's even room in the box to add the last CD. We received them very quickly, too.

See if you have all the dvd's or just a loyal fan of the series, you probably already know that waiting for the final movie to come out on dvd will create the ultimate collection dvd box set. Mostly how they did that special edition for years 1-5 in the trunk, they surely will do one for all 8 dvd's and extra bonus disc's that will create up to 20-22 dvds. This is okay to buy, but if you want the best for your movie collection waiting till the end of this year for it to come out is worth it. - Daniel Radcliffe - Harry Potter - Family Films - Box Sets'

Large Format Printer - pixma, pro9000

This product isn't quite listed correctly. It should be listed specifically as the Canon CLI8 Value Pack for the Canon Pixma Pro9000.

This particular printer model uses all 8 of these cartridges at once.

Listing Canon CLI-8 Value Pack BK/C/M/Y/PC/PM/R/G (0620B015) as I have stated, would prevent issues such as the gentlemen who wrote a review saying he had to return this item because he thought it was a double 4 pack so he ended up with 4 cartridges for which he had no use. Canon CLI-8 8-Color Multipack Ink Tanks

I recently purchased a Canon Canon Pro 9000 MKII to replace an Epson 2200 photo pinter. I find the print quality using this printer to be outstanding in comparison to the Epson. The color rendered by these inks are very accurate and the detail provided by the Pro 9000 MKII is easily seen as superior to the Epson 2200- as it should be since the Epson is 8year old technology.

I purchased the 8 ink tank multipack to tray and save money. I rated the multipack as 3stars because, while it is less expensive than buying individual ink tanks, a more cost effective option that Canon should offer is a 4pack that would include 1 cartridge each of Photo Magenta, Photo Cyan, Yellow and Cyan. These are the colors that are used by the printer by a factor of 2 to 1 of the others.

I've printed various Kodak C-print and Cibachrome papers in the darkroom over the last 30 years, and none come close to the quality I get with my Canon Pixma Pro9000 teamed up with CLI-8 inks. In addition, these inks outlast the photo materials and have a wider gamut as well.

I don't think you can find a lower cost than at Amazon.

When you want professional results, prints that you resell, there is no reason to experiment with cheaper, non-OEM inks. When you consider the time spent in the darkroom running test prints for color balance and exposure plus dry-to-dry times, these inks would still be a bargain at their full price found at the retail store. At Amazon, savings of 40% or more make a sweet deal!

Bought an expensive Canon Pro 9000 Printer, so can not see any reason to compromise with generic ink. So far, Amazon has the best price for the real thing. Sometimes I think the manufactuers should give you the printers for free if you obligate yourself to purchase ink from them. Comparatively, the price was not too bad for this.

There's not much to say about printer ink cartridges. Either they're the right ones for your printer or they ain't. These are right for the Canon PixmaPro 9000. All replacement cartridges are overpriced. The price on this pack is about the lowest I have found so far.

I own the PIXMA iP6600 Canon printer which has only 6 slots for the CLI-8 ink tanks leaving out the Green and Red tanks. However, purchasing this 8 pack, with no use for the Green and Red tanks, ended up pricing out to be the equivalent of purchasing the Canon CLI-8 4-Color Multipack Ink Tanks ($43) and then the Canon CLI-8PM Photo Magenta Ink Tank ($14), and Canon CLI-8PC Photo Cyan Ink Tank ($14) Seperately. Of course, shipping is also free thru Amazon with ground shipping so my total which would have been around $71 for 6 tanks ended up being just $75 for the 8 pack. $4 more for $28 worth of new tanks.

Obviously I have no use for the CLI-8 Green & Red tanks but they retail for $14 a piece so maybe I'll just sell them or give them to a friend who has the PIXMA Pro9000. Just a suggestion to those of you looking for ink. (*If prices change since I've typed this review I apologize)

Canon ink is a very good product. I have had not problems in the printer or on the different papers, clothe and vellums I have used it with. I created clothe banners with the inks and they hold up well at art shows.

The Canon cli-8 8 packaging is really handy to be able to buy all the colors I need at once. I use the Canon pro9000 13" wide printer. The red and green inks are a great addition to the ink series for great colors for my art prints.

I always purchase my large 8 pack from Amazon for the value. Great price and great shipping. - Canon - Pro9000 - Pixma - Pro 9000'
