It doesn't matter whether you are an Mac or a PC, files are interchangeable. The key is how to move them from one computer to another without worries.
As the title suggests, this is the 'one cable to rule them all'. This is now part of my bag as I travel as well as office use. With the demise of the floppy and the expense and bother and permanence of a CD/DVD it has only one real competitor: the USB 'thumb' drive.
While the USB drive may be a better 'value' for simple file exchange, this cable is even easier to use and safer in the long run. It is easier to use since you don't have to figure out which files to copy in advance, just connect and the file systems appear on both computers. Pick the files you want and try them out before disconnecting. No more back/forth, and no size limits (no issues if you don't have enough free space on your USB drive).
It is safer too; I have had the terrifying experience of loosing a USB drive that had all my financial information (on the way to the accountant). No files are stored using this cable, so there is no need to clean up a drive or worry about clients seeing files not meant for them.
Installation was easy -- all the software is in the cable for Windows and for OS X. Operation is flawless.
The only issues: documentation is minimal, but little is needed (that's a good thing!). OS X users: remember to eject the drive to keep the OS from complaining and making you feel bad...

I purchased this to transfer files to a Windows based notebook from my Mac.
