This was shipped in a flimsy plastic bag with absolutely no protection/padding, so the cover arrived damaged. IF this would have arrived in usable condition, I would still not recommend it because there is not any protection for the screen. Overall, not worth the trouble!! "AWFUL PRODUCT."
* 1st - It came dirty, with black hairs INSIDE the case. I had to disinfect it.
* 2nd - I spent an hour trying to get it to snap in place, and it does NOT stay in place all the way, so at the bottom where its coming apart - I'll have tape it. - & I'm a techy, so I assemble things together everyday. They're ripping us off!
* 3rd - After placing it on my ipod, it came with vertical scratches, viewable over my screen!!!
* 4rth - it did not come with a cloth or screen protector. Its like a 1 cent value. Actually of no value, since it was a waste of my time and money. Don't Buy It. I want my money back.
All the complaints seem to be of products sold by the other suppliers, as of the time I ordered from Minisuit, which offers a free screen protector (redundant as the case itself covers the screen, appreciated nonetheless) and arrives with extra perks such as the free velvet carrying bag. The product is as it should be covering and protecting all the aesthetics while leaving free access to the controls and leaving the camera uncovered for the clearest picture.
This item arrived with no protection for the screen, so I either have to buy a new cover, or separate screen protection. As well, there doesn't seem to be any way to remove the cover, other than cracking it, once the pieces have been snapped together.
iPod case?? it doesn't protect the one thing we would want: the screen. As it doesn't protect the wheel or the camera either (but those are normal), it's pretty much useless, unless you really care about the shiny apple logo on the back.
When I received my 5th generation Nano, I was scared to touch it. It was so shiny, and extremely small. A little too small, in fact... so I needed a case to not only preserve it but buff it up just a tad.

I got my package within one day of your shipping notification. When I opened the package, there was a black Mivizu pouch, like a jewelry pouch, for carring my iPod (you could use this when you put it into your bag for even more protection) as well as a free, high quality screen protector that is made for the 5th generation (fits perfectly) *high quality because there are no bubbles if you apply it correctly, just remember that there are two sides you have to peel off protecting the middle piece which is your protector*, and the clear, no nonsense case. Not only is it just what I wanted/ made for the 5th Generation Nano, I also noticed that there is a loophole on the back if you wanted to add a wrist strap! The screen protector comes sealed in its own package with a lense wipe for cleaning. (I know everyone was complaining about this so I will address it- the reason the entire case is not over the screen is that you would not have the same visibility. The clear case is thin enough so that the color of the body shines through but too thick to go over the screen. With the screen protector, which was included in my order, you get the protection against scratches plus the hard case for the body.)
I don't think I will ever need to get my iPod out of the case, but I have not tried that yet so cannot comment. My SkullCandy headphone jack fits with ample room.
In total, I got 3 items plus fast shipping for 5 dollars. Unbeatable!
I was hesitant ordering this product because of the many negative reviews but the negative reviews seem to be coming from other merchants who sell this product. Notice that you have options when you place your order about which merchant you would like to buy from. I purchased the case from Mini Suit and it is perfect. It fully covers the iPod screen. Mini Suit also includes a velvet pouch as a bonus for you to store your iPod in if you want.
Same story, came damaged in a flimsy bag. The bag actually had a slight rip on it too. It looked like the plastic on a corner of the cover had been melted and deformed or run over. You get what you paid for. I didn't bother returning it because it was so cheap and just threw it away. Also, this product is NOT designed to be removed without trouble after being put on.
