Laptop Stand - monitor stand, sturdy
This stand performs nicely. I have it supporting a 30" monitor and it holds it steady with little to no bouncing that you sometimes experience with other stands, as it stresses under the weight of the monitor. My only gripe about this stand is that it came with a few chips in the paint finish. The chips aren't big, but enough to wonder whether this thing was brand new. This doesn't appear to be the fault of Amazon, but rather, poor attention to detail by Allsop. I didn't return it because it is one of the few stands that support a 30" monitor well, as I mentioned above. Next time, though, I may pass on Allsop products if there are other options. I just received and set up this shelf on my workstation and it is perfect for my needs. I wanted something that would look sleek, yet unobtrusive, and give me enough room to store my docking station underneath - mission accomplished. There is plenty of room underneath and now I have added space on my desk for my keyboard and other office necessities without cluttering up the desk. The shelf is really sturdy and could easily support a heavier monitor monitor than my 22" LCD. I highly recommend this product - just be sure to make sure the measurements are in line with your needs as the picture makes this look a lot smaller than it is.
It's sturdy enough to hold my 24" Lenovo LCD. There's enough room beneath it to fit a full sized laptop docking station, even for the newer ThinkPads where the dock sticks out to one side by a couple of inches. I also like that I can store a full sized keyboard under it when not in use.
I bought this monitor stand for my bedroom plasma Tv to gain space for the black box of the cable and the DVD player. It was perfect: I set the tv over the stand and under the black box, so I gain space for the DVD player. I would like the stand would be two shelves to gain more space but it was right for the reason I bought it. Very sturdy.
It would have been hard to go wrong with this purchase. The dimensions and photos show pretty clearly what it is and how it looks. I have two now, one for my laptop to sit on and one for a printer. They work exactly like like I planned. They sit there and stuff sits on them. The key board slides under one and paper under the other. Hard to screw that up. The shipping was quick, the price was good. Pure bliss...
Holds my 23" LCD monitor perfectly. Jiggle and bounce is near minimal unless I make drastic movements, the construction is top notch, and it looks solid through and through.
Doesn't really do much except hold things.
Nicely constructed. Decent style. My Mac keyboard fits perfectly underneath. I have a 24" monitor connected to my Macbook Pro and I use the stand to raise up the monitor to an ergonomically correct height. No more neck strain!
I like the design of this stand, and it was the only one large enough for my needs. (I am using it to hold a large laptop, not a monitor). Unfortunately, when it arrived, I noticed that the top surface is a little bowed, or curved, downward at the back. I talked to a customer service rep from Allsop and she said it was a property of the metal, that it just does that, and that the one on her desk is like that too. That seems a little strange to me. I'm going to keep it because I haven't found any other stand large enough for my laptop, but I wish the metal surface were flat! - Monitor Stand - Lcd Monitor Stand - Useful - Sturdy'
