I purchased this bag for my Mac book and I was surprised to see that inside the main compartment there is actually a separate laptop sleeve that I can slide my laptop into perfectly. This kept my laptop from moving around inside of this bag during transportation and anything else from touching it. It looks very nice and goes with everything that I have as it's a simple black and white with a great creative design. Unlike a lot of the other laptop bags this one has two pockets in front that contains pen holders, cell phone holder, extra compartments and even a place I can fit my wallet so I don't have to carry my purse when I carry this with me. The inside flap is extremely soft and feels great unlike some other bags I've owned, it's a soft corduroy material and the strap is wonderful as it's a sued material that does not let it slip off your shoulders. I was on the hunt for the perfect bag for my laptop, notes and books. I preferred the messenger bag style, but didn't want to look like a teenager or carry a messenger bag that looked like I was a business woman. I needed the perfect "in between" bag. I really wanted an elegant design, in a color that wouldn't show dirt. It needed to be lightweight and flexible...not too heavy or bulky, and no leather for me! This was the perfect match! There are 2 zippered pockets in the front when you lift the flap open. They are perfectly suited for cell phone, pens, keys, etc. and the larger pocket has 3 divided sections. There are two large compartments. The large portion for the laptop is padded and the other portion is perfect to keep my notepads, folders, and a book. It holds quite a bit, but if I put too much in it, as I sometimes do, the bag is bulging too much and the velcro closures don't reach each other. It has a pretty comfortable strap too! This is the best laptop bag I've owned and I've gotten a lot of compliments on it too! Great buy!!!
After waiting for the long side of the super-saver shipping window, my bag finally arrived. I was pretty excited, I've really wanted and needed a good laptop bag.
First, this is a very attractive bag. Some of the interior is a light tan, rather than a coordinating gray, but who cares, really. All of the interior is a very soft fabric.
The good - there's an integrated pocket for the laptop, that seems to have adequate padding. It only has one centrally-located 2-inch-wide velcro tab to secure it inside, but I suppose that's adequate - I've never owned a laptop or laptop bag before, so I wouldn't know. My 13.3-inch laptop fit well with room to spare.
Next to that pocket is a central, open pocket, quite suitable for holding files or folders, a textbook and notebook, anything really that's approximately that size. Both the central pocket and the laptop pocket are semi-closed by a drawstring. The resulting pouch does not completely close, however, it just covers the ends and corners a bit, essentially.
There are two zippered pockets on the front of the main pocket, the larger one with interior pockets suitable for holding a mouse, or a phone or similar, pens, etc. The smaller pocket might be good for a charging cord, etc.
All of this is covered by the exterior flap. The odd thing about the flap is that the velcro strip on the main bag section is horizontal - the matching velcro on the flap is two vertically-oriented strips, with empty space between them. Not the *most* effective, but again, adequate.
The strap is soft, and in two sections that can separate completely with a long strip of velcro, to make it adjustable. I'm 5'1", and the shortest length (without overlapping the velcro) is about right. The strap is secured with a wrapped band of velcro.
The bad - when I got mine, the *first* thing I noticed was that the little wrap band of velcro on the strap was very poorly attached. Two of the four edges had failed to be caught in the sewing machine, and it was flapping off. Even the glue that had secured it for sewing was coming off. I'm not about to tinker with sewing something that ought to be right to begin with, let alone something so thick and awkward.
Also, the first time I tried to cinch the drawstring, the silky cord caught on something rough inside the plastic button that secures it, and it snagged the cord badly.
All in all, not enough to make me unhappy with the product in general, just annoyed that I'll have to return this one, and purchase another one (no direct exchanges, as this is not sold directly by Amazon), and then wait for another 8-9 days to receive it. And then wait who knows how long for the refund, but hey, fingers crossed. With a properly-constructed product, I'd probably give this 4.5 stars, taking a bit off for the oddity of the main velcro closure configuration, and the less-than-completely-secure drawstring pouch. - Laptop Bag - Laptop Accessories - Computer Bag - Notebook Computer Bags'
