Home Theater Receivers - speaker cables, audio

I recently purchased 16 gauge RCA speaker wire through Amazon and connected my home theater speakers with it. The sound quality is great and the price was also. I would highly recommend this wire to those of you who want great sound for a great value...Thank you Amazon!! RCA AH1650SN 16-Gauge Speaker Wire (50 Feet)

Hooked up some surround speakers with this wire and they work nicely. The wire itself seems to be of pretty good quality. I needed 25ft strands for each surround speaker and I was worried about whether this wire would be thick enough to transfer the audio signal that far, but no worries it works well.

Nothing special about this wire, marked white on one side. the casing is pretty thick. The wires on inside are really thin. its pretty easy to cut through the wire if youre not careful. sound fine, no complaints. good price. would recommend these.

Pros: Great value, good quality!

Cons: The white marking on the wire is difficult to see, not impossible by any means, but it keeps me from giving this wire a perfect review. It is not an issue unless you are running the wire in a dark area or you are trying to see the white line when hooking the wire to the back of a home theater receiver.

In this case you get what you pay for. the wire is brittle and hard to manage without breaking but its usable .. If your on a budget this wire will work, however im not sure as to the "life" of it. meaning i doubt it will hold up for any length of time.. If your Installing a high dollar system chances are you wont be reading this but if you are dont waste your time spend the few extra bucks.

I purchased this wire for connecting the receiver to my Energy Take Five classic as the folks at Energy supply no wires. I recommend that you measure your room size and buy the required amount of wire. I added 20 feet extra to the room size just to be on the safe side. When you are finished with the room measurements cut the wire needed in to the lengths required. Most people would need 5 parts as, three would be for the front speakers and two others for the surround ones i.e. if you have a 5.1 system. These wires come with a color coding usually a white band in the wire which would help you determine the negative or the positive connection. Splicing the wire is a hard job but any kitchen, Swiss or specialized knife would be able to do the tool. For the price this is a decent buy. Five stars. 2/17/2011

its a string of wire. it works. as long as it meets the specifications (for gauge/thickness), there isnt that much more to say.

the housing could stand to be more flexible and rubbery. and a flat black would look nicer than the transparent clear. but its cheap in price.

What can I say, you pay for what you get. The speaker wires are well build and durable. They are easy to set up as long as you follow directions carefully are long enough for the standard consumer. Great buy

It's wire and it works. Best price I could find for this level of quality. Just be sure to measure how much you need so you don't have to place a second order like it did. Thank goodness for Amazon Prime. - Speaker Cables - Audio - Home Theater - Home Audio'
