The XL cartidges are a significant improvement over the original HP 02 cartridge. The longer lasting cartridge means in addition to lasting significantly longer they waste less resources plastic, metal etc. When you realize that some colors are used more frequently than others often buying the individual colors needed rather than a multi cartridge package makes a lot of sense especially with Amazon Prime and the speedy delivery. As always and with almost all printer manufacturers they ink cartridges is where they take your money away. Hope to find some economical refill kit before I go broke. As always is practically cheaper to purchase an all-new printer instead of the consumables. Nothing wrong with the individual suppliers of Amazon for this items, the problem is the manufacturers.
The HP 02XL cartridge yields 1 1/2 times the amount of ink as the standard cartridge at less than 1 1/2 times the price, but more importantly, you have to change them less often, which saves time.
