I was able to use this cable for Polycom phone as well. Polycom phones use different wiring, but by connecting microphone jack to green connector and headphone jack to pink connector (which is reverse from how it is labeled) it was possible to use this cable on Polycom. Firstly, I don't quiet understand why a small piece of wired handsfree adapter would cost that much. But I tried to search several landline headsets on the internet, I realized that landline headsets (bluetooth or wired) cost a hell lot more than comparable mobile handsfree headsets. That makes this the cheapest option if you want to get a handsfree headset on a Cisco landline.
The product works great with my Cisco 7961, wired to a cheap Plantronics headset. Although I think it's quiet expensive compared to a mobile handsfree, it does the job very well.
I love being able to use my computer headset on my CISCO 7960 work phone. People can hear me well, and I can hear them well. I think it is too expensive, but CISCO's version of this is even more overpriced. It's a very short simple little cable, but perfect for my needs.
Works for the Cisco IP Phone 4942. Use with any headset. I bought a real cheap headset but it's hard on the ears. However this gadget does the trick. Good way to get a hands-free setup going on your phone.

As a cab dispatcher, I am on the phone 8 hours a day. Until I got this adapter and a headset, my choices were either bending my neck for the handset or putting on speaker, which made conversations noisy and difficult.
Hooked up to a set of Logitech headphones, this adapter has worked like a charm.
I use this with my Cisco 7975 IP phone and it works very well. Saved me from purchasing a new headset, as I could repurpose a nice Plantronics headset used for PC/Laptop.
