This product is easier to apply than the non-privacy screen protectors, and also easier to remove the bubbles from during application (though I still had a couple of tiny ones). It appears durable, will definitely protect your screen, but does pick up fingerprints and smudges (though no more so than other screen protectors).
The privacy feature works very well--so well that you cannot see the screen at all even from a slight angle.
So why did I give it only four stars? Because I agree with another review that the screen does appear pixilated with this protector on, and also seems to lose some of its brightness.
Bottom line: This works well at protecting your screen and providing privacy, but the trade off is a less visually appealing screen. However, I have become used to the screen appearance and like the way that this protector works. It is easy to clean, and unlike my last screen protector, does not collect dust around the edges. I am not sorry that I installed it.
Update Sept. 24, 2010: I still have the same protector on, and it still has not collected dust around the edges like so many other protectors that I have tried. As for screen appearance, to me the pixilated appearance has become normal, and in no way interferes with web browsing, reading emails, or reading documents. I would definitely recommend this screen protector even if it did not have the privacy feature because it is durable and has performed so well.

I really purchased this product more for the anti-glare properties rather than the privacy screen, and have been happy with both functionalities. I would highly recommend this product and you cannot beat the price. I am very happy I made the decision to purchase extras (gave one to my hubby). So incredibly easy to apply an idiot could do it. I paid $15 for my first one from Verizon which only lasted about 3 months before it got gummy and I removed it. I've had this one on for several months now and am so pleased with it- easy to clean and crystal clear. Thank you for a superior product!
Hard to put on straight, luckily it can be readjusted. Seems good at protecting the screen from scratches and damage, and doesn't affect screen visibility at all, however I find I am constantly wiping this screen (with the protector). It gets dirty quickly. The privacy protector works very well!
I was somewhat surprised by the great quality of the screen protector. Didn't expect it to be so good at such low a price. I paid much more for branded screen protectors. This came in a loose packaging without any labels. Cheap and best.
Although it does what it's supposed to,when you put the protector on the phone, it makes it weird. It looks like it's wet. and air gets trapped inside and no matter how hard I try not for it to get trapped, it stays. dissatisfied -___________-
I was in an elevator once and couldn't help it but to notice the lady next to me on her phone...saw exactly what she was doing. sorry, couldn't help it. So I decided to buy a screen protector & a privacy screen, this product does both! If I'm on my phone, I can easily read it. But someone else from the side can NOT see what I'm doing. LOL.
