Expandable Multi-handset - 2 line cordless phone, expandable multi-handset

I am very pleased with this product. It was very easy to setup, in fact it only took about 30 minutes and that included transferring my cell phone book. The phone seems to work great with my bluetooth headset with minimal interference. I had a AT&T bluetooth phone prior and though my listeners could hear me, I had significant interference and static. This phone does not have bluetooth on the handset only with the base, a slight drawback but not enough to be disappointed. The menu setup was easy and not too complicated with too many options to manage. The manual is needed to clarify what each item does but in general, it was easy to read. I am using it as a 2 line phone in a home office and the speaker on the base is clear and easy to use. The handset speaker is not quite as strong as others I have used but that's not too big a deal since I mostly use the base for speakerphone. Plus, the bluetooth is the real benefit. I like that you can use your voicemail service or the base unit and it can be optional on either line. Panasonic 2-Line DECT 6.0 Expandable Digital Cordless Phone and Answering System (KX-TG9381T)

For the past 8 years I have only bought Panasonic phones because the quality was so great. I bought this phone because it had the ability to handle 2 lines and it was a Panasonic. That being said I'm very disappointed in the KX-TG9381. The battery life is very short. The menu system is not easily navigated. The handset will just turn off for no apparent reason. Turn off might not be the best word, it's like the handset will randomly reboot. I have changed the batteries many times but this still continues to happen. One of the best features on Panasonic phones was the ability to quickly view the caller id log by pressing down on the center pad. That is no longer the case with this model. If most of my problems are due to a defective handset I would rate this with 3 stars.

This phone works reasonably well but has two design flaws:

1. The buttons are shiny chrome and so the legends on them are completely illegible. You have to tilt the phone this way and that to catch the light just so in order to see which button is which.

2. The answering system does not tell you which line the call came in on. Regardless of the line it always announces the call as "Line 1 and Line 2".

Otherwise works pretty well.

The phone has worked very well for the past two months and was easy to set up with no problems. It was the smallest footprint 2-Line phone I reviewed which was important and I have not had the first problem. I plug in my headset into the portable unit and use it that way as a bluetooth device, which I have, is just another item to keep charged and accessible. The battery life is very good and has not been a problem. If the base had a place to plug in the headset I would have given it a five star rating.

Do not buy this phone if you want to transfer contacts from your iPhone to it. The Bluetooth feature touted for this phone (and which was the reason I bought it) does not work with the iPhone, and there are currently no Panasonic phones (according to a Panasonic representative) that have this capability. Otherwise a fine phone. Another interesting feature that KX-TG9381 is not listed on the Panasonic site, which may mean that this phone is already an old model.

I've used this phone for about a month now and really like it. It's wonderful to have a phone with Bluetooth capabilities. There are only 2 small changes that I would like to make to it.

1. The Bluetooth will only reach to the next room. It would be terrific if it would reach a greater distance.

2. The ringtones on the phone are very nice. However, I have several other Panasonic phones throughout the house and my preferred ringtone does not match any other phone. Also, the ringtone on the base does not match the ringtone on the handset. When the phone rings, it sounds like an orchestra warming up! To eliminate this problem, I had to turn the ringer off the handset. At least this way I don't hear the orchestra in my office -- which I do in other parts of the house.

I've used Panasonic cordless phones for years and feel they are the best on the market.

I was looking for a 2 line cordless that can be paired with a bluetooth headset. This one does exactly what I wanted. It is true that only the base station links with the headset, but that is all I needed. I also don't care that it doesn't sync the phone book with an iPhone since I don't need that feature. I believe the iPhone is the limiting factor and not this phone, though. My previous phone was also a Panasonic, and I've been very happy with the brand in general.

I purchased this product going by the 'Panasonic' brand name and for the 2 key features that I was interested in: 2 line and bluetooth. The voice quality on the speakerphone is terrible. The phone interface is not well laid out and is not very easy to navigate. Bluetooth is only for downloading phone numbers from the cellphone directory and nothing else. The additional headsets are very expensive as well. Overall with the operating quality and performance of a cheap phone, this product is not worth the money. - Expandable Multi-handset - 2 Line Cordless Phone - 2 Line Phone - Dect Cordless Phone'
