Wow! The price on these chargers was a bargain, but the quality is to the standard of much more expensive units that you would buy in retail stores. I would definitely recommend this seller and will use them in the future. Oriongadgets Car Charger for Apple iPhone 4 (White)
This product does work for my Iphone 4. The base of the charger that plugs into my cigarette lighter gets very hot, which is of some concern to me. It left me with the feeling that I wish I had spent more money to get a better quality charger. Also of note, I do have to remove my phone's protective case, in order to charge it with this aftermarket charger. I can charge my phone with the official Apple Brand A/C wall charger and not have to remove my phone's case. But this charger has a slighter larger charging tip.
I can't see any difference between this and a $30 charger, other than the price. A lot of the cheaper car chargers are so tight in the power outlet that I have actually broken them off while trying to remove them. This is not the case with this charger. I am careful to unplug the phone as soon as its done charging, just in case. Very nice finish on the product and it seems to be good quality. Would buy again.
at first ordered in white and later saw the item that it comes it Black, I sent an e-mail to the company that please if it could exchange for black color before ship it. To my surprise they did... great customer services. I would buy from this company anytime.
The product I received from this seller is not the item pictured, it looks nothing like it. It plugs in and works every other time I plug it in and half the time I get a alert telling me that it is not supported by my iPhone 4. Flase advertising!
I don't know what else I can say about a $.01 charger! It works... It charges my iPhone 4, and doesn't seem to interfere with other car electronics (sometimes when I plug in something to the cigarette lighter, my stereo gets a faint hight squeal to it. It must be a bad ground somewhere I'm assuming.) The plug fits in tight a both ends (that's what she said), and the spring cord is nice. The only downside is how bright the LED is. You definitely know when this thing is plugged in because half of the body glows bright blue. I would recommend, especially for a penny! I've only had it for a few weeks so we'll see what the durability is. I will update if necessary.
This product works as indicated/advertised about 80% of the time for my iPhone 4. There have been occasions where I have plugged in my phone only to have the screen tell me that this charger was not optimized for my iphone or "charging is not supported with this accessory", but the message eventually goes away if I unplug and plug back in and be patient.
This is a small sacrifice to pay for saving about $20 off the first-party chargers sold at the Apple Store.
I bought one for my ipod touch 4 and one for hubby's iphone 4. It is a bit tight to push the adaptor into the ipod/iphone to be charged, but other than that, it works for both devices.
