I bought this keyboard to use in my home theater. I already have an Adesso wireless keyboard but it is fussy in terms of positioning in order to work well (2.4GHz RF). So I had higher hopes for this bluetooth unit. My problem with it is that it is too small to touch type and too big to type with the thumbs as you do with a touch phone keyboard. The mouse control is not very precise. And many keys need you to press the Fn key that is located on the left lower of the keyboard - so that you can't press is without changing your holding of the keyboard. I also miss back lighting - but I new it was not available when I bought it. I now found out that Adesso has a bluetooth model - I'd go for that. Handheld Mini Bluetooth HID Wireless Chicklet Keyboard with Mouse Control Combo for Media Center PC, Windows 7/Vista/XP, Apple iPad & Sony PS3
I am using this keyboard with my HTC HD2 phone. It works great. The keyboard is solid. The keys feel like a good quality PC keyboard. It makes typing txt-msgs with my giant fingers easy. The keyboard is small but the keys are almost regular size. The mouse pointer does not work with my phone, but that is probably because the phone has a touch screen.
I have a T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Tab and was looking for some sort of mouse/keyboard combination for my device. Most of the other keyboards I researched were either too small or typically more expensive. This device paired very easily with my Galaxy Tab.....and so far has worked very well with it. I think it's a great combination of being small enough to enjoy the portability like that of the tab itself, and yet large enough where I (an adult male) am comfortable enough using it, although I certainly wouldn't recommend using it for more than just casual typing.....not for your latest thesis!
The mouse functionality is about what's expected, not as good as a full function mouse, but servicable for a droid device. The combination of using the mouse functions and the touchscreen works well.
The keyboard is about the same dimensions as the tab device itself. This is a great pairing for the tab at a very good price from Amazon......I recommend this highly for the galaxy user who has casual typing needs!
This is an excellent product! It is very small and compact but fits my fingers nicely and has a good feel. I love the extras for the iPad that allow you to turn up and down the volume, move from song to song or video to video, etc. it is a great remote for the iPad especially when your watching or listening through your TV or home theater system. it is a great item and it is much less expensive than the Apple Bluetooth keyboard!
Based on a review i read i purchased one of these for my Verizon Tab. It will pair but i cannot make it work past that. Although T-Mobile and Verizon are different carriers i was hoping for this to work. The keyboard itself is nice and well sized and works fine with my T-Mobile HTC phone.
I bought this mini Bluetooth keyboard to use with my M11x netbook and Nokia N8 as media centers through HDMI's and It works great, here is what I consider the PROS and CONS
PROS:
- Size, really small keyboard with decent keys size
- Mouse, the position of the left and right click buttons is good and touch scroll is a plus
- Multimedia function Keys, all the Fn keys like Play, Pause, Stop, Next track, Prev track, Vol+, Vol-, Mute works with windows 7
- Battery, regular use of the keyboard seems to not drain the batteries so fast
CONS:
- Pairing, not fully explained, after typing the confirmation pairing numbers in the Bluetooth keyboard side you need press enter
- Keyboard Layout, all the QWERTY rows are aligned
- Fn Keys and Mouse, have a slow response
- Mouse, don't work with Nokia N8 and maybe other smartphones
PS. Use this Keyboard with windows+Boxee and you will love it!
I have had the keyboard for well over a month and I am still using the original batteries. The power switch has been on the whole time. Wakes from sleep quickly with no issues re-connecting. Key feel is very nice. Decent layout for small size. Joystick and touch scroll functions work well. I use mainly to web surf on big screen projector while using the elliptical. Sometimes hard to get an exact screen position using the joystick (mouse control) while exercising but this is asking a lot of the device. It is better than a mouse in many ways when using while on the couch. Most of the time I use with my Win 7 machine however I have tested on XP and a Archos 70 Android tablet with good results. I get more than 30ft range in a cluttered EMI environment (lots of wireless and other EMI generating devices). Not bad for a class II Bluetooth device. Recommended.
I looked for a wile for a suitable keyboard to configure with my HTPC, and found for the most part all available options are flawed in one way or another. Since this was much cheaper than most of the options I was looking at I decided to give it a shot.
The keyboard itself works rather well and pairing the device to my HTPC was a snap. One issue I found right out of the box was the mouse movement was a little slow however after a few tweaks thing was resolved. Additionally the scroll bar on the keyboard works great moving up/down on the active window but to me the inputs seem reversed by default.
One minus I would give the device is it's lack of "F" keys which is not a real issue. I didn't realize how many times I use ALT+F4 until it wasn't an option.
Keyboard works great for small tasks (ex. entering a URL) but I wouldn't want to use it in an everyday typing application. Great for an HTPC with a bluetooth receiver. - Bluetooth Keyboard - Ipad Keyboard - Keyboard - Mini Keyboard'
