Android Case - phone cases, verizon

I bought this case thinking that it couldn't possibly be cheaply made, it's by Body Glove. So it has to be great, right? Wrong! I ordered the case the same day I bought my phone. It arrived super fast but within a week after I put it on, a clip snapped off when I only slid my phone open to text. REALLY?! I thought it would be okay since it was one clip. Apparently that one clip was the important one. That same day the whole front part of the case came off. Then I noticed the corners were separating. Geez! I clip my phone to my jeans, set it on the counter at home, or set it on the shaded console in my car. I have never dropped it. Boooooo to Body Glove for representin' that way. Had I not waited to post feedback, I would have rated this product as excellent. Then I dropped my phone (for the first time) on carpet and the case broke. One of the tabs that holds the faceplate section to the phone just snapped right off. I guess it did its job in protecting the phone; but i don't think it would have been damaged on carpet. Oh well, it's just $13, right?

OK, so I haven't dropped my Droid 2 Global -- I rarely drop my cell phone so I don't expect any protective cover to keep my phone safe. I expect the protective cover to keep my expensive cell phone safe-er than if it wasn't covered, i.e., from scratches and minor dings. The Body Glove cover seems like it will do this just fine. With respect to the clips breaking, I haven't had any problems with putting the cover on or taking it off. I'm just careful when I do either. I also haven't experienced any issues with sound quality being affected or with access to the Droid's controls. I'll update the review if anything changes over time...

I thought the first case had a flaw, so i had the vendor send a replacement. It wouldn't snapon either. Later I had the phone replaced for other reasons, and the second phone came with a case. It wouldn't snapon either. The bottom cover works fine, but the topside cover relies upon a small plastic tab to clamp down over the phone. This piece either quickly gets worn down, or it never is sufficient to begin with.

This item works as intended. This is my third body glove and I like the protection and swivel clip. Only small drawback is that it makes the top row of keys a little difficult to use at first. However, it's been about 2 weeks now and I think my fingers have adjusted to the fit. I would recommend this item. good buy.

The case fits well and protects well, it's just a little too thick for my liking and makes it a little difficult to use the lock/power button. The belt clip is also a little difficult to get the phone locked into. I have since bought a more expensive case and am very pleased with it. If this is within your budget, then it will work just fine. But, if you can afford a little more expensive one and use your phone a lot, I would suggest that.

The case over all is very good quality and sturdy, I've dropped my phone a few times and it didn't hurt it at all and it didn't even damage the case. The only thing is that the belt clip only works with fairly narrow belt. The case is a little bulky, but for the protection its not bad at all.

Pro: Fits perfect, Stylish, very sturdy.

Con: Belt clip is small, might be a little bulky for some people.

The case design seems neat. The clip allows you to set the phone at an angle for easy viewing. I had the phone on my belt clip with a heavy coat. I closed van's back hatch, and my coat knocked the phone off of the belt clip onto the pavement. The front cover snapped off and my phone skidded across the pavement on its glass face. So my phone has a permanent scratch because the clip and the cover both failed at the same time. So in the end, because I trusted it, my phone is damaged.

The phone no longer stays in the case after only about five weeks of use. This can be really be dangerous for the phone if you use the case in it's belt-clip mode. Dog Grooming - pet grooming tool, dog grooming

Before you can actually use this product you first must accustom your pet to the PediPaws. Unless he or she is in a coma, your pet will absolutely despise the sound and vibration of it. Don't let that deter you! As the caring, dedicated pet owner that you are, you will persevere!

After one very long week, I learned that Sophie the dog is more patient than stubborn, and grudgingly learned to "put up" with the tool. However, Fuzzy the cat refused to do the same--he saw no need to suffer fools gladly.

The experience revealed two major drawbacks with the PediPaws: It files the nail in miniscule amounts at a time and can only be used in bursts of 7 seconds or so. (If used longer, the heat generated through friction could injure your pet.) If your dog's nails are overlong, this project could take you days---maybe weeks. Even if the nails were recently trimmed, you will have to constantly file them to maintain that length.

If you and your pet are extraordinarily patient, you would probably not even worry about purchasing this product, but you might enjoy the challenge of using it nonetheless. If you find it hard to resist a new gadget or power tool, I recommend buying the complete Dremel Drill Tool Set. That way, when you abandon using it to file nails, you will be able to find less dubious uses for it.

As for myself, I intend to keep it and, during evenings while watching TV, I will file my own nails. It is my hope that its sound, vibration and heat will remind me to never again purchase anything that is: "As Seen On TV." PediPaws Pet Nail Trimmer

I was excited when my pedipaws arrived, my dog hates having her nails trimmed and keeping her still is a chore. I acclimated my dog just like the instructions say, and she did okay but the pedipaws didnt. It's basically a grinder so you would think its easy, but the thing only has one speed, a safety guard that blocks your view, and is bulky and awkward. I managed to grind down my dogs nails, but not smoothe them well. I do not expect everyone to have the same experience that I have, but I still would not reccomend this product.

I am a professional dog groomer, and we hear SO many complaints about this tool, and have gained so many new nail grinding clients since it's introduction. It doesn't have good battery life, and isn't tough enough for a large dog's nails.

The Dremel MiniMite is a MUCH better investment, because it actually has enough power for larger dog's toenails. It is light weight, not too noisy, easy to control. I've only had two dogs in the past month (out of a couple hundred) that objected to it too badly to finish the job.

It doesn't have a guard, but just do a swipe at a time until you figure out how much it'll take off. If youre not sure how to do this, google "toenail grinding" and you'll be able to figure it out pretty quick.

It is still possible to quick dogs with these tools, and if you press and hold them, the heat caused by the friction does become uncomfortable.

For really long nails, it's best to trim off the excess with a regular nail trimmer, and then after that you can upkeep them without trimming, just the grinding.

My dog 60lbs hates the sound. This product also took a very long time to use. Pressure on the sanding stick cause the sanding to stop. This product was pretty much useless to me and a waste of time and money.

I have to give Pedipaws an average score. Here are the pros and cons of what I have found:

PRO

It wasn't as loud as my Dremel and my dog wasn't freaked out, but it dids take some coaxing for her to get used to the noise. Now my dog is fine with it.

I like the guard so my dog can't reach down and grab it, which could cause harm if a dog grabbed a Dremel without a guard.

I like that it takes the nails off in small amounts, so I don't overdo it and hit the quick.

For me, it is easy to use.

CON

It is battery operated using C batteries and I hate using batteries. I wish it was corded.

The file tool will eventually become dull and I will have to replace it and they are expensive. I am going to try to find a way to make my own, saving a lot of money hopefully!

The guard is a yellow color and makes it harder to see what you are filing.

You can't use much pressure at all or the wheel stops, which is a good thing, in that it is hard to cut into the quick, but bad in that it takes a long time to get the nail trimmed. You can only file for 3 seconds and then you move on to another nail, and do them all, then come back and do it all over again, which takes time and I mean TIME! So busy people, better to use the nail cutters.

I don't know how this will hold up in time. It is fine now, but it doesn't have the quality of a Dremel in my opinion.

So that is what I have found about my Pedipaws. Would I buy it again? Yes and no. Yes, if they made it to where you could adjust the speed more, so you could get more filed. I understand too much power would be bad, but just a little more power would do wonders. I would want it corded so I wouldn't have to buy batteries. Also an affordable way to buy extra file wheels. Then I would buy it. It would be a great thing. But like it is I would pass on it. If you have a dog who hates nail cutters, you might try this, but the noise might be another obstacle to overcome.

So my final verdict is: This could have been a great product, but like it is, it is just OK.

I was a little unsure about this purchase since most "seen on tv" products are cheap and don't work. BUT I love this! It worked on my 50 lb dog and my little 15 lb dog. My little dog is scared to death of noises, but she wasn't bothered at all. They both actually liked getting this done. I was in shock! It trimmed their nails perfectly. Leather Cover - kindle covers, leather cover

I'm in a good position to review this product, since I recently returned Kindle Leather Cover, Burgundy Red (Fits 6" Display, Latest Generation Kindle). These two covers are very, very similar.

Similarities:

The form factor is nearly identical. The dimensions are the same, and closed they look nearly the same.

Both are pebbled leather with a (really nice) microfiber faux-suede interior.

Both close with a wrap-around elastic, which also serves to keep the cover in the folded-back position.

Differences:

The Amazon-branded Kindle cover attaches via a hinge system. This looks neater but didn't work out for me -- I have a toddler who likes to try and open it the wrong way around, which bends the hinges. The mCover attaches with molded (vinyl?) corner holders. This doesn't looks so nice -- mine are set into the case sort of crooked -- but is a winner as far as functionality goes. It's secure, doesn't interfere with use, and hard for a toddler to use as a means of destroying the case.

The mCover has a pocket on the inside cover; the Amazon cover does not. I don't care about this one way or the other. I'd slightly rather not have it.

On mine, at least, the elastic on the mCover is a good deal looser than the elastic on the Amazon cover was. The channel for the elastic is also wider (which is neither a plus or a minus -- it works fine.)

The Amazon cover comes in lots of cute colors. At the time of this writing, the mCover was only available in black, although cute colors are pictured.

Reservations:

Very few. I'm a little worried about the loose elastic. The corner molding overlaps the shift key by a tiny bit, but not enough to be a real problem. The crooked holders are a tad annoying.

Overall:

At the time of this writing, the mCover was less than a third the price of the Amazon cover. At the current price, it's a screaming bargain. At a somewhat higher price, it would still be a good value.

Since it was only available in black, for me buying it was a bit of a compromise of practicality over pleasure. If it's released in other colors, I can see myself buying one just for fun, especially if it maintains its current bargain price. mCover® Black Leather Folio Cover Cover Case for Amazon Kindle 3 (Fits 6" Display, built-in inner pocket)

I just got my new Kindle 3, and the mCover Leather case came the same day. I put the Kindle in it immediately, and haven't taken it out since! It is absolutely perfect for the K3 in every way. Just what I wanted in a case. The cover folds back flat and is easy to hold while reading. Fold the top back over the Kindle to protect it when not reading. And it has an attached elastic band to hold the front cover closed! The pieces that hold the kindle to the back of the cover are sized just right, holding the Kindle securely to the cover without obstructing any of the screen or buttons. This is the best cover! I recommend it for everyone who has a Kindle 3!

The case gives good solid protection to my kindle. The outward appearance is very nice and the grove for the closure band is a nice touch. Inside slot for papers and such handy. It could be improved with better fit on the bottom holders as they do partially cover the back and shift keys but they are still usable if with care. Also as the speakers are in the rear on top of the kindle they are muffled by the case and this could be cured with a mesh in the appropriate area of the case. One last thought as I remove the kindle from the case often for comfort changing the top clips for elastic straps may work better in the long run.

All in all for low cost this is a very good protective case and will keep the kindle secure in briefcase or what ever I grab to travel with as well as by itself.

I purchased this cover because I wanted a less expensive alternative than the options Amazon created for the third generation of Kindles.

Where Amazon covers use metal brackets to secure the Kindle, this cover uses vinyl corners. I have concerns about the Kindle itself getting cracked with the insertion of the metal brackets. I really like the vinyl corners; they do keep the Kindle secure and protect the corners from accidentally being bumped.

While I did not purchase the Amazon cover, a friend of mine did. This cover is comparable in design and looks. With this case closed, the only feature not present is the tab on the elastic band. Honestly, I don't miss the tab.

One additional feature this one has that the Amazon cover does not is a pocket on the inside cover. There you may store notes, receipts, cash, credits cards, or any other miscellaneous items, if you so desire.

Obviously, this one cannot be compared to the Amazon cover with the built-in light (since this one does not have a light). However, I have found that I do not miss that either.

That said, if you are looking for a less expensive alternative with similar design--and even similar quality--this might be the option for you.

I had been looking for an affordable cover for the Kindle 3 and feel this one hits the spot, it looks good and there is nothing that gets in the way like I have seen with the closing straps on some aftermarket covers. The four corners appears to hold the reader securely and all the controls are within easy reach.

The elastic band that keeps the cover closed rests in a little groove on the front, I just wish it came with a little tab to make it easier to grab the elastic band but you should be able to easily make your own tab. Overall I am very happy with its looks and design.

If there's a knock on the Kindle (third gen), it's that it is so slim and sleek, it doesn't really fit comfortably in your hands. Also, since I take mine back and forth on the bus everyday, I feared dropping it might mean the end of my Kindle. The mCover lets me hold the device in a book-like fashion, but it's still slim and portable. The outside a durable, decent quality leather that feels sturdy and, with the elastic cord in place, offers protections against the Kindle going anywhere. Inside, four plastic tabs secure the Kindle by the corners. The lower left tab blocks the arrow button slightly, but otherwise all buttons, ports and switches are easily accessible. These work if you need to send your audio to more than one device (I put the piggyback side to my output on the tv and then the other side to my surround sound and then another separate cord into the piggy back and then into my recorder so that both the recorder and surround sound get the audio signal). Products like these are why I love Amazon. I needed to make a pair of wireless headphones work with both my cable box and a Roku player, I hoped to find something exactly like this. Took 5 minutes and they work greet. The price was perfect too!

These were ordered to carry sound from my cable provider DVR to my surround sound as there was only one sound connection on the DVR which had to go to the TV, of course. They worked perfectly for this purpose and I did not notice any difference in sound level or quality.

I purchased this cable to solve certain issues with our home entertainment system setup. In particular, we wanted to have an option to watch TV using headphones, and the only way to do that was to run audio through the stereo amp. The only way to really accomplish this was to run cables from the various source devices (satellite receiver, DVD player, Wii console, etc.) to BOTH the TV and the stereo amp.

Obviously, not easy to do, although this cable solves the issue perfectly.

Although I expected some degradation of sound quality, I didn't notice much, if any.

I have a great stereo providing my audio for my TV. Unfortunately the stereo only has one audio in, so to plug in an iPod or any other device, I'd have to plug it into the back of my TV to hear it. With a plasma, this isn't something I wanted to do.

This RCA Piggyback connects my TV to the stereo, while providing a second set of audio in connections. My iPod sounds great and the TV still sounds great.

Playstation Move - playstation 3, playstation

The Motion Controller and the PS Eye are the minimum needed to bring 'Move' to a any PS3 console. No exceptions. If you already have a PS Eye then the controller alone is the only purchase necessary. On the other hand, to fully enjoy certain games, you may want TWO Move Controllers.

It's hard not to be impressed by the Move. While I can't see how the Move's Motion Controller can become PS3's 'main' controller, I believe that it's going to find lots of good uses and hopefully in hard-core games and in the RPG games that I'm usually playing.

SETUP

Press the PS button. If the controller is charged... you're done.

Of course, to do anything useful, you WILL need a PS Eye camera and maybe a game :). You CAN use the controller to navigate the PS3 XMB menus but it may take some getting used to - I am still reaching for the DualShock.

MOVE'S MOTION CONTROLLER

The Wikipedia has a very thorough review of the technology inside the controller - impressive. It's probably worth going there to get an idea of what's under the hood.

From a user's point of view, the Move could be viewed as approximately the right side of the DualShock 3 where the motion tracking function is the R3 analog stick, R1 is the MOVE button and the R2 becomes the Move's T(rigger). You also get the 4 Square/Circle/X/Triangle, in a square (not 'diamond') formation, the PS button as well as the START and SELECT. So far, the most used buttons during gameplay were the MOVE and the T(rigger).

In addition, you get a wrist strap. At the opposite end of the microphone or thick wand-shaped Move there's a USB Mini-B port for charging and another port that seems to be proprietary - must investigate.

The controller is quite substantial as far as both size and weight - I like that and liked its being shaped in a way that makes it easy to grab and hold. Very much like a microphone or a very thick magic wand; NOT a remote control.

Based on my experience so far, Move's ability to track your motions far surpasses anything that I'm aware of in the gaming universe. Every single movement, up/down, left/right, toward/away and wrist rotation are accurately captured and almost instantly reflected on the screen and so is acceleration that would usually translates as 'force' in games such as sword fights or ping pong. In addition, there is haptic (tactile/rumble) feedback, a little too weak in the games I played so far, making the gaming experience that much more realistic.

I am not writing a lot about the Eye camera because... it's just there and it's not the subject of this review. For as long as it can see you, it simply does its part so that you may enjoy your game.

PLAYING

I've tried so far everything in the Champions game and one puzzle game demo downloaded from the PSN. Our little girl is playing the Eye Pet demo and my boys are playing mostly the sword fight and the archery games in Sports Champions. Considering that Sports Champions is an early game, my expectations were not that high but, surprisingly, Ping Pong did meet my expectations. I've been playing real Ping Pong ever since I was 11 or 12 so I probably know what I'm talking about and the Move version of Ping Pong is GOOD. As for the others... sword fight, kids like it. Archery was okay, Bocce was so-so, Frisbee Golf not too bad. Three of the six Champions events benefit significantly from using TWO Motion controllers.

For the games I've played so far, this is NOT a couch experience. On the Sports events I was sweating after a few minutes and I had to get off the couch and stand up even when playing the puzzle because of its depth element. This is probably a good thing.

I am sorry for having to do this but, absent 'hard core' games, the only comparison I can make is between Move and Wii and... to put it VERY mildly, the Wii shows its age when placed next to the Move. Except for it lacking a built-in speaker, the Move controller is ahead of Wii in every single respect: precision, responsiveness, ergonomics. The fact that the Eye camera can and in certain games DOES track your body not just the controller helps too. Of course, the Wii has the games but the Move games should be coming fast so I'm not worried.

MY RATING

It's 5 stars for the technical merit, ease of setup and for the overall experience. Hopefully, the games will be coming quickly and in good quality. PlayStation Move Controller

It's a shame that Sony's new motion controller Move is so much compared to the Wii. Aside from the basic principles, Move is a lot different than the Wii. And if you ever played Wii and then pick up Move, you'll quickly be able to tell the difference. The accuracy with this thing is out of this world. It follows the wand with 1:1 motion and no lag at all(not yet anyway) And you can go into 3D space, like going into the the picture and grabbing something out, something the Wii couldn't do. But this review isn't about the Move VS Wii, so I'll shut up. I've played Sports Champions and Start the Party and some demo games, and this controller is perfect. It's built solid and it feel good in your hand. The glowing orb on top is actually pretty cool, but it's not just for looks, it actually has a purpose, and it's purpose is to help the camera follow the controller by following the light. Plush Toys - blue bird, plush toys

The sounds are pretty cool and the kids love launching it around the house. $10 bucks is a lot to pay for a small stuffed animal. My 3 year old and 5 year old counted out the money from their piggy banks to pay for it. Angry Birds 5" Plush Blue Bird with Sound

My 3 year old was sooooo happy to get this for his birthday, my 11 and 8 year old were a bit jealous!

It is a great size, not too little by any means, but also not huge. It is soft, squishy and just perfect in details and colors!

The noisemaker is not very big so he may have to search a bit to find it, but it also is not clunky when he wants to cuddle with the plush!

The blue bird looks slightly smaller than the red which is understandable as it is the one that multiplies into three birds when you tap the screen. It is also the one with the funny foolish looking face.

My son loves too play with this and goes every where with it. For him, this toy is very fun and enjoyable.

It makes cute noises which sounds exactly like the one in the game. It is also very soft and is identical to the bird in the game. It keeps my son busy.

One thing I don't like about it is if it stops making noises, you would have a very difficult time replacing the batteries. You would need to remove the stitches because there is no opening. It is also expensive for a small stuffed toy.

I bought this for my son's birthday. He was happy to have it but rarely plays with it. It is very cute and soft to the touch. Nothing fancy about it. It's nothing more than a stuffed animal that has a few different sounds from the game when pressed. Not that I was expecting it to do anything different though. It is as described and arrived in a timely manner. Overall, good product.

Ordered 3 of the Birds. The blue one was broken with no sound. Not worth hassle to return for that, but obviously very cheaply made. They all make the same sound too, and it's not very loud. Probably low batteries on the ones that actually work. Also, no way to replace any battery. If you have an angry bird lover, it's OK but these are expensive given how small they are and the fact the sound doesn't even work on all of them.

Bought this for my 3-year old niece, who really enjoys "playing" Angry Birds on her mom's phone - really she just likes the sound the slingshot makes when you play with it. She took to this guy right away and carried it around all day, it was really cute. She really likes the sound it makes. - Plush Toys - Blue Bird'
