Travel Clothesline - travel laundry, rick steves

Don't be fooled by cheaper suction cup knockoffs. Suction cup clotheslines won't hold a wet sock! You have to tie the ends down either way so why not have a strong line that is designed to be tied. The braided feature allows you to do without clothespins because you can pinch your clothing in between the braids... Although I always throw things over the top. This line is worth the extra dough and will help keep your luggage weight down. I suggest buying some Woolite packets as well. Rick Steves Travel Gear Clothesline, White

I admit it--my husband and I are "pack light" addicts. We only take carry-on luggage, which automatically means doing laundry. Bought this clothesline last fall and took it on a 10-day trip to Paris, along with only 3 pairs of (acrylic) socks and 3 sets of (microfiber) underwear.

This clothesline is GREAT! I was able to put it up in whatever shower/tub configuration we found in our hotel rooms. We did laundry every night, filling the sink with soapy water and allowing the garments to soak while one of us took a shower, then rinsing well, blotting in an already-used bath towel (or viscose hand towel) and hanging them up on this clothesline.

No need for clothes pins--you can insert the garment between the braids on the line.

I have osteoarthritis in my fingers and as other reviewers have noted, I did have some problem separating the braided rubber on the clothesline. But I found that inserting the garments into the braiding while the line was not taut made it much easier. I then stretched the line out for the garments to dry.

I hung blouses and pants on it too. (We wear nylon/polyester travel pants and nylon or polyester shirts/blouses. These wash/dry very well in the hotel room.)

I found that using a small viscose handtowel (think Shamwow, but there must be other manufacturers--just make sure it is really viscose) really helped get the clothes dry. Viscose can be wrung virtually dry by hand, and it pulls water out of hand laundry like nothing else.

I was very impressed by this clothesline and highly recommend it!

Best clothesline I have used. Sure beat packing safety pins and/or clothespins to attach clothes to line. It was very easy to attach washed clothes, especially socks, underwear, and shirts. The velcro makes it easier to attach to most things available in a hotel room.

This is a very well-made product. I bought it for a trip to China and used it several times. The braided design makes clothespins unnecessary and the straps attach to any variety of objects in the hotel room or bathroom. My only complaint is that it is quite pricey for a clothesline. That said, if you travel a lot and do essential laundry in your room you'll probably be very happy with this product.

On a recent trip to Italy, I took the Rick Steve's Clothesline with me for a first-time trial run. Packing lightly, I needed to wash items any number of times. The clothesline was a lifesaver! The main component that makes it better than others are the strong velcro ends...held tight to balcony ledges, shower racks, any object that I needed for an anchor. Also, the rubbery twisted line does away with the need for clothespins...and prevents the embarrasment of finding your "delicates" laying on the ground below, having blown off a less secure line! I'd certainly recommend this item to any traveler. The only thing that might improve it is having a choice for a longer version. Rock on, Rick Steves!

I travel light, which means laundry. To forgo the pleasure of clothespins, I take this line. It has worked well on 4 major trips now. With a very small load of laundry (my usual every-other-night wash) it is fine. For larger loads I add an "extender." In the past it was a bit of cord, but I now use a 60 inch web belt (which has several other uses when I travel.) The belt allows me to attach the clothesline in (so far) any hotel and extends the line for large loads.

This thing is exactly what it says it is, and does what it says it does, if you can find the right place to use it. In 2 of the 3 hotels I stayed in while I was in the Philippines, I could not find two suitable end points close enough to each other to attach it to. In the third, I was able to find several end points to attach it to, but none were strong enough to stretch it from one to the other without risking damage to the things I attached it to. (When stretched the distance needed there was upwards of 50 to 150 pounds of force on the line, which was enough to pull the endpoints out of the wall if I were to have used them. The picture of the item is a little out dated since there are also Velcro straps on the ends. Those Velcro straps help you attach the line to larger things like wide posts but often by cinching the Velcro strap around the line itself, cutting down on the available length.

I ended up leaving this behind with my host family in the Philippines. (I don't know what they will do with it, because their home construction certainly isn't strong enough to attach the line either.) One of the younger girls was using it alternately as a jump rope or as a leash for her younger cousin. Ha-ha!

I think that the line could be useful if it were maybe 2 or 3 times longer. You could always tie off the extra length if needed.

Confession time: I'm cheap. Really cheap. And one of the ways I express it is by doing a good bit of my laundry at home in the bathtub. (Ahh, the joys of apartment living!). And I am very impressed by this line--it's strong, sturdy, mounts very easily in my shower, and holds a TON of clothes (even multiple really heavy items like wet towels). I was skeptical about the velcro strips, but so far they've never let me down and I love the versatility they offer over suction cups--if the bathroom is unavailable, I can mount this thing just about anywhere. And, of course, the braided design allows you to hang a lot of items on it in a secure fashion.

I wouldn't use it outdoors, as other reviewers have noted--it is rubber, after all, and probably doesn't respond to temperature changes. But otherwise, this is one of my favorite apartment-living purchases ever. - Travel Laundry - Clothesline - Travel Clothesline - Rick Steves'

Check out my sample footage video on Youtube. On Youtube search "djeror zi8 low light"

In my previous review of the Kodak Zi8 I was pretty frustrated at the fact that whenever I used the built in microphone the recorded videos had an annoying high pitch whine that made the audio from my videos almost unusable. Kodak recognized that this was an issue and created a firmware update that fixed the problem. It also fixed a few other things like the previous issue of the image getting darker as you zoomed in. They seem to have fixed all of the major problems with this firmware fix.

I do tech product reviews so I need the following things:

- External mic input - most of my videos are shot wearing a lapel mic

- Macro mode - I have to get close to little tiny screens

- SDHC memory - I go to all day trade shows, I need 10+ hours of video

- Power options - I need to be able to shoot while AC power is plugged in or use a large external battery.

- Under $200 - I'm poor.

Because of these requirements no other camcorder can fit my needs. One cool thing about this camera is that it is much more upgradable than the other pocket cameras on the market.

Con:

-The built in microphone is OK now that they fixed the whining noise, but it's still not amazing.

Work-around:

- Don't use the internal mic... I use an Audio Technica lapel mic for 1 person interviews.Audio Technica ATR-3350 Lavalier Omnidirectional Condenser Microphone For events I ordered a Sony stereo mic to use instead of the built in mic. Sony ECM-DS70P Electret Condenser Stereo Microphone . Although I wish that Kodak made the internal mic better, for the most part I am kind of excited that the Sony stereo mic will give me much better sound than any of the standard internal mics that any of the pocket cams have.

Con:

-Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS) sucks a lot of juice. Also the Zi8 uses a proprietary battery rather than cheap swappable AA's. Battery life when shooting non-stop is 1hr 16min in 720p 60fps with EIS on. If you turn off EIS you get about 1hr 41min at 720p 60fps.

Work-around:

- Use the USB to power cable that comes with the camera in conjunction with an external battery source. This is a must if you are going to be recording for more than an hour with EIS, cause that's about what the internal battery will give you. Tekkeon TekCharge Rechargeable Li-Poly Battery You can just stick this battery pack in your pocket and connect the charging cable to the Zi8. This will allow you to record for a super long amount of time. I haven't tested to see what my total record time with the battery pack will be but it should be around 5X the standard recording time. (about 6 hours with EIS on, almost 9 with it off) This gives you the best battery life of almost any camcorder. Sure it's an extra cost, but when you're at an all day trade show you don't have to worry about running out of juice.

Con:

- Image stabilization can't rescue video you shoot while moving around. Any camera motion makes video awful.

Work-round:

- Accept the fact you should probably be using a mini tripod with this camera or at least stand still. Also, although it takes a bunch of time to process if you have the new iMovie the image stabilization processing you can do is light years beyond what the EIS in the Kodak Zi8 can do.

One more important note. Make sure you buy high speed SDHC memory cards for this thing. If your SD card is not fast enough the camera will record for like 2 seconds and then stop with an error. It took me a while to figure out why the camera kept stopping recording when in HD mode but worked fine in SD mode. It was because of my old SD card. You need to make sure your SD card has a write speed of at least 9MB/s if you want to record in 1080p. These high speed cards cost more, but you need them for any camcorder that is going to record HD video to them, it's not just the Zi8. I think most Class 6 high speed SDHC cards should work.

If you want to get the most out of this camera plan on spending an extra $100 - $150 in order to buy upgrade items. Personally I've come to the conclusion that the extra expenses were worth it. It all depends on what you plan on using the camera for. For a typical mom purse cam this would not be my recommendation, I would say go with a Flip Ultra HD. But for someone with particular needs like mine this camera may be the only one that fits the bill. Kodak Zi8 Pocket Video Camera (Black)

I rarely will type/review products but I've been a little frustrated reading the reviews of this product on Amazon and by users at other sites. Many users seem to think that this camera was designed to compete with expensive, professional cameras that cost thousands of dollars and produce full HD quality video. That's not what this is. Also, while my camera hasn't had the 'noise' issue from the Mic, i have seen a camera that had the issue and its BARELY noticeable. Its almost like a very quiet background noise from a Florescent light or something.

Kodak has designed, marketed, and built a camera to compete with FLiP and has clearly produced a FAR better product.

I'll keep it short and sweet and first explain who I am and what I am using this camera for. I use it for:

-Home Videos/Fun stuff with old buddies and friends

-For work when I need some quick video that's easy to upload online, or put in iMovie and edit

-For work when I need more complex videos that may require editing, or somewhat lengthy video but I want the ease of use/portability.

I have seen some of the problems stated with the internal Mic and I have had none of them (I do have the upgraded Firmware that is now standard 1.03, and Kodak says this completely eliminates the issue...again have never had the issue on my camera). A relative of mine was lucky enough to purchase this product when Kodak did an 'early' release a few months ago and occasionally his videos will have a bit of a higher pitched background noise, but it doesn't interfere with the sound from the video -- its just a light background noise that, honestly, i've heard on dozens of cameras. Don't forget, without an external Mic the camera only records mono so -- the sounds quality isn't going to be great anyway!

The video is great, image stability isn't as advanced as those available on more expensive cameras but it is better than anything i've seen in a FLiP or other Kodak model. It does work and you can see a difference, even if its not huge. Its SO easy to flip between video modes. The 1080p is awesome, but sometimes its nice to move back down to 720 and the 60fps to capture 'action' footage.

One negative -- which most people may see as a positive -- i do wish there were more settings, or at least the ability to play around with more features/edit modes. Its GREAT easy to use, its a point and shoot video camera -- but with the great lens and abilities, it seems like Kodak could have -- pretty easily -- had this camera competing with much higher end cameras. If all the hardware was put to great use this could compete with $500+ cameras. But I understand wanting to keep it simple.

I like having the SD card. Some people would prefer the internal memory, and yes by the time you buy a decent sized SD card the camera is more expensive than the FLiP, but, the FLiP has a very limited memory. This camera is limited only by the size of the card...Definitely a positive!

Finally, I know people that are both in the TV business and do a lot of Video blogging and they are drooling over this camera because of the external mic capabilities. One reason lots of 'pros' didn't like FLiP was because of the audio issues. Kodak has solved those, not to mention providing better quality video.

Again this isn't something to shoot with if your a young film-maker or a die-hard amateur cinematographer. But if you need something cheap to get some great quality video, or need something super easy to use that is really portable....Take the plunge. And if your considering FLiP -- don't bother...'

High Heel Pump

These shoes are amazing!!! I got the natural snake skin pair...and i was shocked how soft the snake skin was!! theyre true to size...i wear a 6.5 but sometimes 7...got these in 6.5 an theyre a smidge too big...but other than that...no complaints!!! Nine West Women's Rocha Pump,Black Leather,8.5 M US

I don't know if it is the platform or something is getting in the way, but I cannot seem to keep this pump on my heel. I already added a heel insert and I can't go down a size or my toes won't go in. It almost seems like they didn't make the back heel area tall enough to grip my heel when i walk. I am not sure if anyone else has this problem with them, but I have only wore mine twice and won't be able to wear them again unless i can figure out a way to secure them to my heel/foot.

I read all the reviews of these shoes about how comfortable they were and was soo looking forward to them. But they were AWFUL. It hurt just to try to slip my foot in for the first time and after 5 minutes of wearing them around the house, I couldn't stand it anymore and printed out the return slip. The angle of these heels puts tremendous pressure on the toes, which are jammed into a fairly narrow vee. I can't imagine what my feet would have felt like after wearing these for a day. Agony. I'm very disappointed.

I got these shoes in grey reptile and I love them. I usually have problems with platform pumps having a short toe box meaning that my feet slide forward too much in a shoe and it makes my toes hurt. This pair was a dream. I bought my normal size, an 8, and they fit well without making my feet slide forward too much. The toe box is the perfect length.

These shoes look amazing on the foot. From the side they're a little weird looking when they're not on your feet. Trust me, though, get to a mirror and your legs look a mile long in these. A-ma-zing.

They're also very comfortable to wear. I actually ended up putting them on for a few hours when I first got them just to test that theory. I was not disappointed--it's an incredibly wearable shoe. Comfortable and cute enough for work but still interesting and sexy enough for going out. Love it.

One star off because the grey reptile is man-made, not leather (minor issue).

Honestly... I NEVER wear heels as high as these. Why? Because I can't walk, stand or even breathe with shoes higher than 3 inches.

The reason why I got these was that I realized that the platform was high enough so I wouldn't feel as high as it actually is.

And it's unbelievable how COMFORTABLE these are!

I have pretty wide feet and I wear nine west 9.5 but these run a liiitle big. Nothing that a shoe pad can't solve.

I LOVED loved loved it and recommend it!

These are the high shoes for women who can't stand too high shoes!

True to size, generous toe box. Nice platform look without being ridiculously over the top; able to walk without the feeling of wobbling on chunks of wood. Have purchased this style in 6.5 and 7 and have found both to be comfortable and wearable, not too narrow. Cushioned foot bed. Quality construction and materials one would expect from Nine West.

I bought this style (in the chololate brown) for a wedding. The first day I wore them for 16 hours! They are the most comfortable heels I have ever owned! I usually wear a 7, but the store clerk suggested I buy a 6.5 and put a gel insert to keep my foot in place. I now want to buy this shoe in every color!

I have the Rocha pump in two different colors. I'm actually going to buy more colors. They are SUPER comfortable. I have a bit of a wide foot and these shoes fit perfectly. I am up and down on my feet all day and there is ample cushioning at the ball of my foot to keep me happy all day long. Obviously, each person and each foot are different, so I don't know how they would fit on other people, but I feel like these shoes were made just for me!

These pumps are very comfortable for the height that they are. I purchased them in light gray though that's more of a beige than a gray. When ordering these shoes I think a half size lower would be a good option since they do tend to be loose in the heel area, I've solved my issue with them by getting some dr. scholls for her tape and now they stay on perfectly fine.

They look very nice with work pants and I'm sure they would look great for the evening as well though I haven't tried them out yet at night.

SO far they have been great for work and walking around during work hours, my feet don't feel like they're in pumps and that's more than what I had hoped for.'

2009 Amazon Frustration-fre - trimmer, mustache trimmer

I have been using a Wahl beard trimmer for nearly 6 years. It finally started to show its age and I went looking for a new one. I tried Remington brand, and they just did not work for me. I have very thick, stubborn hair and the Remmington's blades did not get close enough to my skin to get the hairs I wanted. So I went back to what I knew worked, and re-ordered a new Wahl Beard Trimmer. This one is very similar to my old one, except a few new things. There are more blade guards than before, and the clipper setting now has 6 stages instead of 5. Otherwise, the trimmer is the same.

And that is a good thing. Immediately, the new Wahl made a difference and I am very happy with the results. The reason why Wahl is so much better than anything else (including the Remington) is that the blades that move back and forth as so much closer the to the guard teeth that you can see the difference. Go to a store and look...you can see the difference between this trimmer and other brands. The Wahl will always cut closer and better. There is no other brand I would recommend - Wahl trimmers are simply the highest quality you can find in this price range that give the closest trim on your face.

Pros:

Price.

Charges quickly, and stays charged afterward for some time.

Gives a great trim, nice and neat and no pulling. Has all the attachments you'll ever need.

Easy to maintain and clean up.

Cons:

Attachment system could be a little better, a little tough to get on and off without some practice. They do work great and are easy to use once on, however.

Bottom line:

Great trimmer for a great price, you can't go wrong here. Can use it with the cord or without and works great either way, this thing will last you forever. I'm really happy I picked this one up out of the crowd of trimmers I looked at.

For the cheap cost of this trimmer, you can't go wrong! I love it, the battery lasts long, it comes with tons of clips and the one adjustable 5 setting clip and it's a very nice package for it's price. Very comfy and a nice grip, I look forward to trimming now that I have this wonderful trimmer in my life. I really don't think you can go wrong with this purchase!

P.S. I buy a lot of stuff at amazon.com and I NEVER review it, I suppose it's cause I think it's "too out of the way" to do, but I love this product so much that it was time to change that!

The Wahl Groomsman is a solidly built trimmer, but the plastic attachments are not. I used this trimmer for my beard 3 times before the plastic guide broke and fell off. I could not correct the angle in time and now have no beard! (I guess I won't be needing the trimmer after all!)

Buyer beware! This is NOT the Wahl product you remember!

This is a very good electric razor/trimmer. I was hoping to use it to maintain a stubble look. Unfortunately, the stubble guide keeps my stubble a bit too long for my taste. And just using the razor keeps the stubble a bit too short. If you're looking for a razor that will maintain a "2-day look," this is not it.

It is good only for complete shaving not for trimming. The attachments are so delicate and loose that they may drop in the middle of your trimming process ending you with bald patches.Earlier I had the panasonic trimmer which was quite good with trimming adjustment fixed by sliding above the blade,so no chance of dropping of.

This trimmer works as advertised: powerful, easily adjustable, lasts FOREVER on a single charge and very easy to use. I have had it for just over a month and use it about twice a week.

I couldn't have asked for more from this kind of product.

No complaints about the trimmer itself -- it is effective and easy to use. But the attachments are flimsy and you have to get the knack for shoving them on and taking them off. No instructions are provided for this. As a result I broke one attachment and had to order a new one from Wahl, which cost$5.99 plus and unconscionable $9.99 for shipping! Still the clipper is better than the last one I had.

I bought this not too long ago to replace an old norelco trimmer. This wahl one looked good, but it had too many problems. First, I could not get the attachments on or off. It shouldn't be that complicated. More importantly, this trimmer hurts. It would catch the hair and not cut it evenly. Very disappointed and a waste of money. Back to the Norelco.

First the good things-

1) sharp blades and the cutting edge is close to the skin surface.

2) ability to operate with the cord connected.

The Bad -

The construction (and yes, have no doubts, it is Made in China) is so bad. Though the trimmer feels solid, if you look at the edges, you will see the ugly finish of the product. The plastic with which the guides have been made is not that flimsy(though i dont mean it is sturdy); but the way they have designed the insertion mechanisms and the length selector mechanism is so mindless that the plastic guide will break eventually, like mine did. It is so hard to fix the guide on to the trimmer; and once you fix it, if you want to take it out, you have to use so much force that you will fear if it would break.

The stubble guide also has the same story. I actually injured myself trying to get the thing from the trimmer. It is so damn hard to take it out once you put it in.

I wonder why would they make it this way. Once you break the guide or the beard regulator attachments, the thing is rendered useless. So, why dont they improve the locking mechanisms and improve the quality of the plastic used??? I would strongly advice to try some other brands who give a little more importance to quality and put some thinking into the product!

Ha, the bag is a joke; well, not much complaints here because i dont intend to keep it in a bag.

Then the noise - it IS loud. After using it around your sideburns area, and once you switch it off, you will hear the beauty of silence! But not much complaints here too, because, i think it is standard with trimmers though may not be as noisy as this one.

People say for 20$, you cannot expect much!! Give a little more respect to your hard earned money! Thats all... - Wahl - Mens Grooming - Mustache Trimmer - Trimmer'

Laptop Battery - macbook battery, mac battery

My roommate had a older-model macbook with a battery that could maybe last 5 minutes without the charger. Since he never really needed it off the charger and the cost of the official battery is outrageous, I figured I'd surprise him with a gift to help a fellow mac user.

This battery installed decently enough. The color and the fit were not quite right, but it's hardly noticeable; unless you like starring at the bottom of your computer that is.

My biggest complaint was that his battery wasn't recognized as present in the OS. Sure, it works, but without knowing how much power there is left in the thing, it's kinda worthless. The only indication we get is the power button on the battery itself, which requires turning the thing over and pressing it. This maybe due to the fact that he's running Tiger, but I don't know.

Anyway, it was a risk worth the money, but it didn't really change anything, so if I could do it again, I'd pass. Extended Capacity 5600 mAh Laptop Battery For Apple Macbook 13" Series

I have had trouble with Apple batteries for my 13" Macbook. The batteries seem to rapidly lose their charge

capacity, my last one was down to about 1 minute, so I thought I would try a 3rd party battery. It worked well for the first couple of days, holding a charge and was a reasonable fit. On day 3 however it would not allow the start-up procedure for my computer when turning it on. I had to remove the battery and us the ac wall plug only or it would never start up. Also, as others have noted, the computer is not able to calculate the amount of time left on a charge and many times the computer does not recognize the battery as being installed. It seems these two issues are widespread and should be corrected by the manufacturer. I have returned the battery, customer service seems responsive - I am hoping they will replace with a battery capable of starting up and running my macbook, I will post an update when I receive the new battery.

Alright! People are saying that it "doesn't fit right." It is a slightly different shade of white, fits a little TINY bit crooked, but who cares? It's $40 and it allows me to use my macbook without my power supply connected for at least a few hours at a time. If you aren't super concerned with how the underside of your mac looks, then get this battery. This battery holds a charge for three to four hours usually, and generally shows the correct amount of usage time left. Although it isn't as long as I used to get with my original mac battery, it's better than having my laptop come unplugged and having it shut off. I say, for $40, this is a great replacement battery.

Okay my battery was out on the Mac for awhile but come on who is really crazy enough to buy a battery for $120 when you have tablets coming out for close to it. LOL! Its not the perfect fit but you not looking at the back it doesn't buldge out and guess what it holds a charge. The price is reasonable and it didn't say it was apple so hey. Since I have had it I haven't had any complaints. Its a battery and it works so now I am mobile again.

This is a very good product. It works well with the exception that the battery time remaining is inaccurate which has caused the trusty Mac go to sleep without notice. However I would definitely not pay more for the battery at the Apple store, since my brother did and his has the same problem.

So this battery works, but that's about the extent of the good things. It doesn't match the color of the MacBook. It doesn't sit flush in the battery slot. I've got a battery again, but everytime I touch the bottom of the laptop it feels like something's wrong. - Macbook Battery - White - Sunvalleytek - Mac Battery'

Reusable Filter - single cup, filter

Being frugal (all right, cheap) by nature, I held off on buying a single-serve coffeemaker until I could find one I liked that offered a reusable filter. When Keurig came out with the B-40 Elite, a handsome, reasonably priced unit, and announced that it would be releasing its "My K-Cup" reusable filter for separate sale early in 2006, I was primed. As soon as I saw this product on Keurig's website, I was ready to buy my new coffeemaker from Amazon.com and the filter from Keurig's web site. My only wish was that Amazon.com would stock the reusable filter so buyers could purchase the coffeemaker and filter in one fell swoop, and here my wish is about to come to pass!

I have had my Keurig B-40 Elite for about a month now, and I've had great success with it. Bear in mind that if you're using the reusable filter, you must first remove the black plastic K-Cup holder from the unit's filter assembly (instructions on how to do this are included with "My K-Cup"; the black piece in the coffeemaker's filter basket doesn't act like it's supposed to come out, but it is, and it does).

Also, I've read elsewhere that some people don't like having to remove the reusable filter and clean it out after every use. However, I've found it to be a relatively simple affair: the reusable filter doesn't drip when you remove it, and takes about 30 seconds to rinse out after each use. You can use it again right away to brew successive cups.

One caveat is that the output splashes a bit when using the My K-Cup filter, so I always have a damp paper towel at the ready when I brew a cup. That having been said, I'm really happy to be using my own coffee and saving lots of money in the process. Those who are, like me, loathe to shell out 55 cents a cup for K-Cups will probably really like the new My K-Cup.

After reading many reviews about the problems with the My K-Cup and experimenting on my own, I have found an easy solution to the problem of weak coffee using this filter. As others have noted, the water goes through the My K-Cup way too fast as compared to the K-Cups. My solution was to take apart a K-Cup and use the outer plastic shell with the My K-Cup filter. Here's all you need to do:

Take a used K-Cup and cut the top foil off of a K-Cup. Cut the paper filter out of the K-Cup. It's okay not to cut it all the way off of the rim of the K-Cup because you will need to cut the top of the K-Cup (where it gets wider at the top). You need to cut the top of the K-Cup off because you need to fit the K-Cup shell into the My K-Cup holder. Once you slide the bottom shell of the K-Cup into the holder, you can add your coffee into the My K-Cup (tapping or gently pressing the coffee so that it is not loose inside the filter). Then place the My K-Cup filter into the holder and cover as normal. When brewing, the K-Cup shell surrounds the My K-Cup filter and slows down the water by making it pass through the punctured hole that the prepackaged K-Cup normally uses.

The great thing about this is that you can re-use the K-Cup shell that you cut apart over and over so once you have cut one apart you don't have to worry about it again- use the My K-Cup as you normally would.

I'm hoping Keurig will have figured this out in the near future and add a premade piece that is included the My K-Cup, but until then, I have found that this solves the problem of weak coffee.

Let me start out by saying that I love my Keurig brewer. It brews a great cup of coffee (GMCR Dark Magic is my fav) and the convenience can't be beat. However, I've always felt a little guilty every time I throw out a used K-Cup. It seems like they're not only completely UNrecycleable, but totally UNbiodegradeable as well.

Enter the My K-Cup reuseable filter. Yes, it takes a little practice to fill up the mesh filter with grounds without making a total mess, and sure it takes a few seconds of rinsing when finished. But the result is a great cup of coffee and no guilt trip about filling the landfill with punched out K-Cups. And if you're feeling reckless, it's an easy switch back to those good ol' prefab cups.

I'd recommend this to anyone with a compatible brewer. It's not that much more of a hassle to use, the results are excellent, and there's no waste. Oh yeah, it's also a whole lot cheaper to fill these with your favorite pre-ground GMCR blend (Dark Magic baby!) than to buy the equivalent number of cups.

The only negative that I've seen is a tendency for more "sludge" to get through to the bottom of your cup. Watch that last sip, it's a doosy!

I have gone through a few of these as have many other reviewers...but I think I see why these break so often: You must run your finger over the top of the basket to remove extra coffee grains so that the lid goes on easily. If you don't you can still get the top on, but it puts pressure on the plastic lips that hold it together. So a bit of care in keeping the basket top clean (a quick finger swipe is all you need) will save you from having to buy these often. - My K-cup - Coffee - Single Cup - Reusable Filter - Keurig - Filter'

Digital Camera - camcorder, 1080p

Kodak Zi8 Pocket Video Camera (Raspberry)

And if your considering FLiP -- don't bother... - Zi8 - High Definition - Camcorder - 1080p'

Outstanding top! Great quality, and it was exactly what I wanted out of a summer evening top.

When item came it was perfect! Looked just like it's photo when I got it on, it was lightweight, figure flattering, and very comfortable,... I LOVE this top!

Pay attention to your sizing, and be sure to use sizing chart listed with the photos, and NOT the sizing chart of Amazon. Seller uses Junior sizing, and not Woman's sizing. I am a Woman's Large, but I ended up ordering a 3XL, I have never worn a 3XL in my life.

Customer Service was wonderful too! I will be making future purchases from this seller! Thanks again! Plus-size Low Cut V-Neck Tunic Top Black - 1X

I just wore this top for the first time this past weekend. Wow, I got so many compliments and a whole lot of attention. Very sexy for a party or a nice evening out paired with some jeans and sexy sandals. Postpartum Support

It really helps support abdominal muscle after c-section. It doesn't roll up like other customer complaints; however, I wish there is more discription of sizing. I bought size medium, but I should of purchase size small. You should go by your waistline before your pregnancy. The waist band is really stretchy. Postpartum Abdomen Support, Medium 32" - 38" - Post Partum, Loving Comfort

I purchased this item when my twins were 5 mos. old after realizing that I had diastasis recti. The support band did a great job of reminding me to hold my abs in to help the muscles come back together. The band did not do this for me. It was not clearly visible under clothes unless I was wearing only a t-shirt. My normal body is a size 4 or 6 and the small fit great. I thought the band was too wide--it was continually creeping up during my regular day--so I cut it in half and works even better! Now I use one half when I am in the gym and the other half for regular wear. I would recommend this product to anyone who needs a reminder to "suck it in"!

The sizing on this item is completely off. I am a tiny petite person with a waiste size of 28. I bought the small following the sizing listed on here but when I received the item, it did not fit me at all. I couldn't even pull it close around my hip and waiste. Unfortunately I did not try this item on right away so now I can't even return it for a medium.

I purchased this after I had my baby. My tummy shrank quite a bit after wearing it for two weeks. But like the previous reviewers said, it does have a bad tendency to roll up on you if you sit down or bend over, and the seam were the velcro is happens to be very visible under clothing. So I don't recommend taking it to yoga class. I am hoping that by the time I have my next child they will come out with something that is less visible under clothing and doesn't roll up. But the bottom line is that it does work, and I would use it again for the next baby.

I bought this product to use after delivering our third child (vaginal delivery). I looked at other products (celebrity endorsed ones) but they were expensive. This option was the most economical. I am happy with it. I started wearing it the second day while I was still in the hospital. It is snug but not uncomfortable. I like that it supports your back too. The only drawback is that it leaves "stripe marks" on my skin and gets hot and sticky in the Houston summer heat. Too bad it is not all cotton or bamboo and breatheable. I can put it on but I find that if I lie on our bed and ask my husband to fasten it, I get a more snug fit. Runs small but can be stretched. You can see a wrinkle under you clothes. I mainly wear it around the house and at night. I would recommend this to a friend.

It is great for the first two monthes after delivery. It did help shrink the belly. Due to the design and the material, it did not irritate the skin that much like other brands.

But it did roll up after some time of use.

Easy to use, comfortable to wear, and it's inexpensive. It does slide around a bit, but I expected that and it's not too much of a hassle to readjust. I like the gentle support it provides and found the sizing to be accurate.'

Hewlett-packard - hp mouse, cordless mouse

I was looking for a wireless mouse to accompany my new HP Wireless Elite keyboardHP Wireless Elite Keyboard. Ironically my search led me back to HP. I am so impressed with the keyboard I thought I would give the mouse a try. Most other wireless mouse's reviews complain of interference, lag, etc. I see absolutely none here. The sensitivity is higher than I'm used to but that's configurable. It's actually great because I have to move my hands less! I can get across the screen completely while still on my arm rest. I can use both the mouse and keyboard from 12 feet across the room and not have to worry about where my wire is, or if I'm going to run over a wire with my chair, or if it can reach.

I was also blown away by how smoothly the mouse glides on a desk. It's like ice but still with some grab so it's controllable.

More of a nitpick than anything: The mouse is a glossy black which I love... but it's a fingerprint magnet. The sides are slightly concaved and it fits my rather large hands pretty comfortably. The buttons just part of the front plastic and bend when you click. Strange but works. The wheel is very comfortable and works well too.

I wouldn't recommend a wireless mouse (or keyboard for that matter) if you're a hardcore gamer. I would recommend a wired thin chicklet style keyboard (which is surprisingly hard to find... I couldn't find a wired one hence i have the wireless one) and wired mouse. But for general usage, music, movies, using programs, it's just fine.

So rather than continuing to rant I recommend you buy this right now. If you don't like it (which would be very surprising) you could return it.

Just as a side-note, if you do want to do the keyboard-mouse combo, it is cheaper on amazon right now to buy each separately rather than the combo they offer. HP Wireless 3 Button Mouse in Retail Packaging

This Mouse is amazing! It's really good connection whenever i move it it moves. No lagging! YAY! If you don't know if to buy this mouse, then You should. It's however not the best for hardcore gamers but if your playing facebook games, computer games, WOW, Runescape, AQWorlds, and otherr RPG games and stuff it's good. It's also good for Email and other everyday things you do. It's not good for Combat Arms or fast moving War games. You can it's just that if your going to play those games then you should buy a gaming mouse which lets you have extra buttons and more comfort in your hands. The feel to this mouse is good. I can fit my whole hand on the mouse onlike some other mini mouse. The Price is also good.

Cons- I really can't think of any!

It's been about 2 Months with this mouse and it's still very good. Also Shipping was also very fast! Must Buy!

I was looking for a nice mouse that would work on any surface and would also work in Windows and Linux - this mouse does the job without problem.

The price is really good and it comes with 2 batteries (AA) to start you off. I have only used it a few hours now so I don't know how long the batteries will last, but i'm confident it will be significantly longer than other the other wireless mouse I was using that just ate AAA batteries.

It has a on and off button. The Sensitivity is perfect. We have had several wireless mouses and the Sensitivity is normally horrible. comes with energizer batteries pre installed. I am a logitech fanboy but this hp mouse is great. don't worry about your hand size with this mouse.

I recently ordered a new HP 17" dv7t laptop and found myself needing a new wireless mouse. Enter the HP Wireless 3-button Mouse. An unglamorous name for an equally unglamorous mouse. Sure this mouse isn't intended to compete with higher priced and more feature filled mice. But even for a budget mouse you're not getting much here. Similarly economically priced models from Logitech and Microsoft feature better design and a few extra navigation buttons.

Ideally, HP should have at least included basic navigation buttons - 'back' & 'forward. I would have also liked a smaller overall size to both the mouse and the USB dongle. As it is I sometimes bump the over-sized USB dongle and on one occasion almost sent my laptop crashing off my desk. Lastly, be aware that this mouse doesn't automatically power down after periods of inactivity. You must remember to turn the mouse off before stowing or risk an exhausted battery.

Pro's:

+ Economic price point

+ Attractive finish

+ Batteries are included

+ No lag or interference

+ Windows XP/7 compatible

+ Super-smooth glide surface on the bottom of the mouse

Con's:

- Mouse is over-sized

- USB dongle is larger than is should be

- USB dongle doesn't clip to the bottom of the mouse for portability

- Zero extra features/buttons

- Mouse doesn't automatically shut-off to preserve battery

I really want to dislike this mouse but at the end of the day it's a cheap and usable peripheral. Though I would still recommend shopping around for similarly priced & better featured alternatives.

This is the best wireless mouse you can buy and its at a low price. i definately recommend it to anyone thats looking for something like this.

Its sleek looking and comfortable in my hand....also very easy to use which i like about products

It has a great, professional design. I haven't noticed any connectivity issues ( interference ) which are rather common in some wireless mice. The only downside is that it has a glossy finish, so fingerprints accumulate on it rather quickly. =(.

i ordered this mouse because it was cheap, looked very sleek, and small. the actual product was nothing like the picture shown. the mouse itself is very bulky and not nearly as spectacular as in the picture. the range leaves something to be desired as well. its max range is about 1.5 feet from my experience. with that said it does work pretty well for as a mouse fulfills its purpose - Optical Mice - Hp Mouse - Hewlett-packard - Cordless Mouse'

Outdoor Heater - fire pits, fire dancer

Great Product... Just don't buy the "stone" surround for it.

This is a really simply made and perfectly designed fire pit. It's pretty small, but puts out great heat and disperses the fire really well. Planning on buying two more when my new deck is finished...

Again, DO NOT BUY the ridiculously bad surround for this. It's just junk. Convert-A-Ball FD500 Fire Dancer Gas Campfire

Family Entertainment

There are times you lower expectations, which is wise, because you don't end up disappointed. But then there are times where you can't lower them enough. This is one of them. At $90.00 (from Amazon, so that means after the 30% discount), I can safely say that the upcoming Star Wars blu-ray set is nothing more than a contrived, corporate cash-grab designed to take advantage of fans.

Yep, I said it, and it's something I never thought I would say. Disgruntled fans have been claiming this for years, so the charge is nothing new. But I never really saw it until now. If you haven't seen the "specs" for this set, head over to the official site, then come back to my rant. (Note: This review is a discussion of the recently released specs of this set so that fans can better judge whether they want to buy it)

1. I wasn't expecting the original version of the classic trilogy. That it wouldn't be included was made clear early on. Frankly, while I understand fans' ire that it's not been made available in anamorphic widescreen, I've always thought the Special Edition versions, particularly the 2004 version, had more going for them than not. So I can't in good conscience say that I'm missing them. But I am disappointed for those fans who are, and that this isn't the Ultimate Edition box set that so many had been hoping for, and expecting, which, like the Blade Runner (or Aliens) set, contained different versions of the film via branching technology. That would've been the worth the price.

2. No mention of a new HD transfer means one thing. This set is the inferior 2004 transfer. THAT is disappointing. It means the films will not be presented in the best high-definition quality that's currently available and in use by practically every film that's been released on blu-ray for the last few years. Lucas is again going with the "it's good enough" motto that he's been touting since The Empire Strikes Back (only with that film, the producer and director wisely ignored him and created a masterpiece). I predicted this would be the case, so I can't say I'm shocked. But for the price-tag, it's unacceptable. What does it mean to most people? Probably not much. It will likely look better than the DVD versions. But not like it should. It could and should've looked spectacular. But, taking advantage of the fact that only the videophiles know what it means to do a proper 4k transfer, it wasn't done.

3. Based on the wording of the press release, the deleted scenes, alternate scenes, and extended scenes are NOT incorporated into the films, but available only on separate discs. This is my major bone of contention, as the films should've been reworked into extended editions (ala the hugely popular The Lord of the Rings EEs). For fans who had been looking forward to the "ultimate editions" even before 2004, this is disappointing. As it stands, these as-yet unseen scenes represent the only value-related content on this set. But the fact that they'll show up on Youtube in a matter of a day after the set's released definitely diminishes their value. And why isn't there a detailed listing of the scenes? Or even how many? You gotta love how this press release that's supposed to "reveal all" leaves out pertinent information.

4. There is no word on whether or not they corrected the many errors that appeared on the 2004 DVD editions. We don't even know if he replaced puppet Yoda in TPM with a digital version, which was assumed would be the case for some time. But, as we can see, it would be foolish to assume anything with this release. What's aggravating is the fact that this information hasn't been put out there. Again, this press-release was promoted as a "reveal all," not a "reveal a little bit more."

5. But the surprisingly worst feature of this set is the documentaries. At the very least, I expected SOME of the 100 hours of new documentary footage that Rick MaCullum excitedly talked about in 2007. But aside from 25 minutes about TESB, there's nothing. Frankly, that's absurd, as it implies that it's being held back for a future release. And to add insult to injury, they've instead included very niche documentaries, 84 minutes about the 501st (the group that dresses like stormtroopers and other armored characters from the films). No offence to those guys, and this would've been a cute documentary had there been proper docs about the films on here, but as one of the primary special features, that's not enough. The other one is a fluff piece called "Spoofs" and it's 91 minutes of clips from some of the spoofs that have been available online for years! Why is this needed when so many things that should've been put on here weren't? The other two useless documentaries are "Anatomy of a Dewback," which, believe it or not, is about the special effects that went into making the '97 Special Editions. Considering that some of those effects were later redone for the 2004 version (Jabba specifically), is this not the most pointless thing ever? "Here's a documentary about how we did bad CGI back in 1996." The other documentary is Star Wars Tech, which is the shorter of the two History Channel specials that aired a few years back. Oddly enough, the lengthier and far more interesting one (The Legacy Revealed) isn't included.

On the positive side (and, yes, this will be a short list), we are getting:

1. The original documentaries from '78, '80 and '83, namely The Making of Star Wars; The Empire Strikes Back: SPFX, and Classic Creatures: Return of the Jedi. If you're like me, these hold a special place in your heart. I'm glad to see them confirmed on here, as they'd been expected. I just didn't think they'd be the sole documentaries (not counting the new short on TESB) of the films. Also (as pointed out by several fans), there's no From Star Wars to Jedi doc, no Empire of Dreams, no The Beginning. I guess they're being held back too, though it would be nice if we were informed what Lucas' plans are so that we don't have to keep triple and quadruple dipping on these sets.

2. The deleted, alternate, extended scenes. This is really the only thing that would tempt me to pick up this set. But I'm nowhere near convinced they're alone worth the price, especially as I suspect that: a) in too many years time, there will be another set that features extended editions of the films, which is how I want to see these scenes; b) some genius will do what Lucas should've done and insert them into bootleg versions of the films.

3. DTS 6.1. Great to finally have DTS, but to nitpick, it should've been 7.1. (Does anyone else remember when Lucas was on the cutting edge of technology?)

Unless I find out that they did a ton of work on the 2004 transfers, what this set currently represents to me is mediocrity, laziness and greed. I personally feel that instead of screwing around with The Clone Wars animated series, Lucas should've been preparing the blu-ray set to end all blu-ray sets. There was certainly plenty of time to do this one right. The prequels can stand improvement, and Return of the Jedi needs work. A re-edited, extended version of these films with some of the "lost" scenes would've made for a real EVENT! Surprisingly, though, the biggest bone of contention I have is the fact that he held back on the new documentary footage for a yet-undisclosed future set. And that just makes me mad. It means that in another five to seven years, they'll release another expensive box-set, probably a 3D one, that will include part or all of that footage, using it--as they are the deleted scenes on this set--as a lure to suck in fans yet again.

Multi-tiered releases have become the rule rather than the exception in this industry. But in the current financial climate we're in, to price this set at a list of $140.00 is obscene because there's nothing here worth that, and frankly, it's not even worth what Amazon's charging. No way, no how! I can deal with multi-tiered releases if the price is reasonable, and there's some bang for your buck. But not for films that have been out there for years (decades in the case of the OT), released multiple times, and now with little added value from the last set.

IF it turns out that the films have been significantly improved from the 2004 versions, it might be a worthwhile purchase. But a poor HD transfer, old documentaries that have been available as bootlegs for years, and an unknown amount of out-of-context deleted scenes does not a $90.00 price tag make.
