Computer Fans - cpu coolers, heatsink


My PC, it's noisy. Frankly, it's too noisy. I mean, by most enthusiasts' standards, it's probably fairly quiet. But to me, any time I hear a whine or turbulence I get irritated. I've lived with this system for three years and was hesitant to do anything simply because my next upgrade would be a whole new CPU, motherboard, etc.



I was contemplating an upgrade and was fixated on Noctua's compatibility page for motherboards given that this thing is so huge. Then it hit me -- this thing fits both newer (AM3) and older (775) motherboards, and my EVGA board was on the compatibility list! Who needs to upgrade everything? I'm happy with my system and its performance.



This thing is huge. It's colossal in every way. And you know what? It's so very quiet! Good heavens!



Some numbers:



Running at lowest RPM, with my aged Q6600 overclocked to 3.4Ghz @ 1.5v, my CPU idles at 29-31C. Under load, it goes up maybe 10 degrees. This thing positively sucks the heat away. It's absurd! Who needs water cooling!? Oh, and it's so quiet. It really is bliss.

This Noctua heatsink is unfortunately often overlooked, yet it deserves all the praise I can give it and then some.



Many PC builders these days are rushing to the enclosed, single piece liquid cooling setups like the H50 thinking that liquid cooling MUST be better than air cooling, but this is not the case. If you look at good standardized testbeds that take ambient air temperature into account and minimize all variables, this Noctua actually beats them by several degrees, and at a lower noise level.

The only way you can beat the temps of the Noctua is a multi-hundred dollar custom watercooling setup.



With mounting hardware for every current CPU socket, 2 top-of-the-line fans, and high quality thermal paste included, this is truly an all-in-one kit.

Installation was extremely easy, even a new system builder could manage with no problems.

I was concerned about ram compatibility so I ordered the XMS3 over the Dominator set, however this seems to depend on the placement of the cooler. I installed the cooler to exhaust out of the top of the case, and my Ram slots were completely free from obstruction.

Easily the biggest cooler I've ever used and for good reason. Idle the CPU stays under 30C, and under normal load and gaming rarely goes past 40-45C with an overclock of 4.03Ghz. I also used the thermal paste included with the cooler for the 950.

The fans are extremely quiet without using the included Low Noise adaptors.



Well worth the price. I can't see how it can get better than this.

This is the best cooler on the market thus far. This cooler is so amazing at its job it cant even be in the same category of "air cooling." there is not an air cooler on the planet that compares other than thermaltakes new Silver Arrow, and even that cant beat this monster. Previously I had a Corsair H50 which did alright with my AMD 965 4.0ghz keeping my temps idle 46c and load 50c to 60c depending on the game, this on the other hand idles at 32c and load is around 50c on the most stressed tasks. It is a tad pricey but worth it considering the only thing that can compete would be a $200 self looped system.

This product oozes with quality. The instructions are good (not great) making the product easy to install. They could have done a tad better job at showing what the thermal grease should look like on the heat sink. Instead they mention the typical warning that too much of a good thing is bad. But how much is too much? It is nice that the grease tube comes w/enough grease for dozens of CPU mount/remounts. I used this cooler with the ASUS Rampage III Extreme mobo and a Coolermaster Sniper case. This cooler sits a bit too low for the optional ASUS active thermal module. But not that low that I couldn't trim the aluminum module so I could still use everything. The extra thermal grease came in handy as I needed to remove/re-apply grease to the ASUS thermal module that never had much to begin with. The fans are nicely labeled so you know the direction of airflow. I don't recall the instructions mentioning anything about getting the airflow moving the right way. At first I didn't notice the direction of airflow, but once I did, I had to remove the cooler and rotate it 180. I wanted warm/hot case air to be pushed outside the chassis. The fans are super quiet and the cooling is excellent. Overall, I am very happy w/this product!!

I purchased this unit to replace an Artic Cooling Freezer Pro and the difference this unit made was absolutely staggering! This unit is extremely well made, very silent and is by far the best performing air cooler on the market. High Quality is what you get when you purchase this unit, the packaging and supplied items reflects the pride taken in the production of this item. You truly feel as though you have gotten your moneys worth as soon as you open the box. My temp drop from the artic cooling unit was close to 20c!!! I am now idling at ambient temp, and with a fairly extreme overclock running prime95 on a 4 core system 49c is my load temp! This is a very quiet unit, my velociraptors make more noise then this cooler does.

I have gone through many coolers and have to give this one a must buy if your going with the air cooling route, this thing even beats several single radiator water cooling setups and blows the corsair h50 away as well. You truly get what you pay for with this piece. Small Children - childrens art, educational


I am a math teacher who uses white board markers everyday. I always used Expo markers in the past. They work well, but leave "ghosts" on the board. Some Expo markers are also very smelly. This year, I ordered Crayola instead. I have NEVER needed to use my whiteboard cleaner to remove the "ghosts" left by Crayola markers. They have virtually no smell. The only downside is that they don't seem to last as long as the Expos that I used in the past. Crayola 8 Ct Dry Erase Markers Chisel Tip

As a teacher, these are the best dry erase markers I've found. The colors are dark, the markers last a long time, and they're easy to erase. As for the complaints saying they don't erase easily, try baby wipes. These markers are so much better than Expo.

These markers are tough and durable. They remain moist even if left without their caps for a few hours. One word of caution: they don;t fit in the slots on the crayola kids activity board. Not a big deal, but I probably should have searched harder for the thinner ones that do fit. I liked these colors though, and the chisel tip is fun to draw with.

I bought these wipe erase markers because my son got an easel with a wipe erase board and I thought the Crayola name meant an easy clean up. I was wrong! Many of the hues.. red, orange and purple to name a few.. left traces on the board that took serious elbow grease and wipe erase cleaning fluid to remove. Luckily he never got it on his clothes as I expect that would have been a nightmare! We replaced this set with the large Expo set which not only cleans up better, but has a lot more colors.

I teach fifth grade. I purchased these to brighten up the white board. I want the marker to be low-odor and have bright, bold color. Out of the package, the markers lacked bold color. It was as though they had been used for a month. I will not purchase these again--I'll go back to Expo. They are low-odor.

I bought these markers for the easel my children got for christmas!!! These were the suggested markers to buy from the instruction manual that came with the easel. My boys are having a great time with them. I am teaching my oldest son to write his name and his alphabet using these markers on the easel. They are just the write size for him, he still doesn't have the best hand coordination when it comes to thin pencils and pens. I greatly recommend these to anyone looking for some dry erase markers.

I purchased these to go with a play school set that I purchased for my granddaughter. Even though I read other reviews that said that they were hard to erase, she has not had any problems with this product and also has not had to use a wet wipe or anything else other than a dry napkin. She likes the variety of bright colors and the chiseled point, my daughter likes the fact that they are Crayola, her favorite brand and even tried them herself.

We purchased these to use with the Melissa and Doug easel. They work great and our 5yr old is able to handle them without difficulty. We love Crayola products and have always been satisfied with their products.

These are great as dry erase markers, but they stain clothes permanently!! I would have thought any Crayola products would be easy to clean/wash, as they are primarily used by kids. Nope - I've tried Shout and bleach, and the stains don't budge! These might be ok for older kids, who can be more careful, but if you have a preschooler or toddler - watch out!!

I bought these thinking that if anyone knew how to make a good child's dry erase marker, it would be Crayola. I was wrong. You have to scrub the board with cleaner in order to get these off of a dry erase board. My son accidently wrote on the board with some washable markers and those wiped right off, while these markings stayed on. I recently got some Melissa and Doug dry erase markers that wipe right off with the eraser. These are going in the garbage. - Dry Erase - Educational - Creativity - Childrens Art'

Summer Clothes For Men - african american, peasant top


These shirts were beautiful and very comfortable. Not the best quality but what I expected. I wanted the largest size available and the title indicated they fit up to 74 inch. I ordered a King 4 but received a smaller size. But it fit him and he never knew the difference. But sizing is confusing and could be better. Over all very pleased with the shirt. Memory Card Adapters - adapter, iphone


POSITIVE: Cuts the SIM perfectly. The trick is to press down quickly with lots of force. If you do it slowly, you might be left with edges that need filing.

I put the cutter on the floor and pressed down with my foot. Worked like a charm.



NEGATIVE: The included converters to convert a micro-sim to SIM are no good. I won't recommend using them, unless you're willing to damage your phone.



Conclusion: Use this only to make a SIM micro-SIM. I would have given it 5 stars if the included sim converters were any good. Micro SIM Cutter, Converter with 2 SIM adapters

I was a little hesitant to chop my SIM card up, but the Noosy works flawlessly. The SIM adapters on the other hand are of questionable quality. They are flimsy and therefore very difficult to insert into most sim card slots. Just trying to get the micro SIM card to fit into one of the adapters is difficult (the plastic is very flimsy). Having said all that, I purchased this along with a better SIM card adapter that I found on Amazon and I am very pleased with the results.

I like the product. You can see the chip through the hole before you punch it.



The T-Mobile chip area is large. It almost fills the Micro chip. I was nervous to squeeze it, but it worked just fine and didn't cut any of the metal.



It's going in my suitcase for future use.

Exactly as advertised. The resulting SIm is a bit rough around the edgedes but with an exacto knife this is easily fixed. A few more sim converters and a cleaner edge would be nice, but for this price who can complain.

This is a fantastic product. And I was very happy with the shipping too.

I use an AT & T iPhone and wanted to put another Sim card to go to India. Ordered Gevey sim, but you don't get micro sims in India, so I brought this Sim cutter and it is just too good.

Great product, made from stainless steal, looks and works great. Product works 100% with no issues. Sim adapters work and fit 100% how they should. Product is heavy in weight but it works great. Edit!!!

I tried to put my iPhone4 Microsim in the sim converter and then use it to activate my friends iPhone 3GS, and it got stuck in his 3GS and broke the sim card trey (The system that the trey pops out with completely broke.) Do NOT use the sim converters with an iPhone2G/iPhone3G/iPhone3GS. You may use it with another GSM phone that doesn't have the sim chip slide in like an iPhone 2G/3G/3GS. I am not happy with the sim card converters!!!



However the sim card cutter works great as I have stated above, and you may use the sim card converters with most cell phones just not the iPhone2G/3G/3GS. - Cutter - Adapter - Iphone - Sim'

Kindle 2 Book Light - reading light, kindle 2 book light


My wife? Cuddly as a panda cub. She sweetly bought me a Kindle DX for my birthday, but as my late-night reading habit brought unwelcome lamplight to our bed, her temper became violent, mafia violent. "I can't sleep! I'm going to smash your new toy!" she growled one morning with the force of crossed gods and dying suns. A chill swept over the planet. Birds stopped singing. Children paused in playgrounds.



Enter the Kandle. Now I can read in bed (my favorite place in the house) with barely any light spilling over onto my wife's eyelids. The bedside lamp stays dark. No more threats against the Kindle or me.



Suggestion: Clip the Kandle to the side of the DX to illuminate its larger screen. (The bottom of the page is a tad dark if the Kandle is placed along the top of the DX.) Kandle by Ozeri LED Book Light in White -- Designed for the Amazon Kindle (1st and latest generation), Sony Reader and other eBook readers.

OK. I like it, and I'm going to keep it, but just because, IMO, it is better than the competition doesn't mean that it's perfect. From all the 5 star reviews was prepared to think it the greatest thing since sliced bread.



The clip is good. It will fit on the kindle and is versatile enough that even with a cover will either fit over both or slip between the cover and kindle. I'm a little worried about how durable the "spring clip" is. It's a clothes pin design.



Mine did come with batteries installed, but no extra batteries...as many people have mentioned that they received. It takes two 3V CR2032 batteries. Pamphlet says they last 25 hours. I did look up and Amazon sells 25 for $5.81, so not bad. However, to change the batteries you have to have one of those tiny philips head screw drivers to open and close the battery compartment.



Also, I have the smaller kindle. It does not have hot spots nor areas it doesn't cover, but there are certainly areas that are darker than others. It makes me wonder how it would do on the DX.



I know that I've pointed out the negatives, but there are many things that I like. They've been pretty well covered in the 5 stars, but one thing I do like is that when you close it up, it is sturdy. I would feel comfortable just sticking it in my pocket and it being comfortable that it wouldn't get damaged. I think that's a huge plus.

I spent a lot of time researching booklights for my kindle (6" global) and checked the Lightwedge and some Mighty Bright designs (which got superb reviews) at a local Barnes & Nobles store before purchasing this product. The size, design, and features of the kandle pretty much match everything I want in a kindle booklight:



*Lightweight and compact (if you have a lot of electronic gadgets, cables, and chargers to always pack, this makes a huge difference)

*Flat and rectangular clip-on (easy to fit in a jacket pocket or flat zip-case, unlike traditional, bulky desk lamp designs)

*Cordless (no long neck to stuff or tangle in my bags)

*Adjustable lighting angles (There are many ways to illuminate the entire reading area to achieve the desired lighting intensity and also minimize impact on people next to you, whether you're in bed or on the plane)



The kandle is very versatile and portable and will work great with clipboards, magazines, and laptop screens as well.



Well worth the investment!

Got this book light for my Kindle reader. Folds down into a nice compact design making it easy for carrying. My other book light was always getitng tangled up and kept on turning on by itself in my bag causing the batteries to run out. This one attaches securely to my kindle and doesnt move around like the other one I have. This one also matches the Kindle color.

I bought this for my Kindle after using the Mighty Bright and boy is the "Kandle" a hell of alot better!

This one actually stays on Kindle alot better than the mighty Bright. And its surprisingly small. I would definatley recommend this to all Kindle users!

As with any ebook reader that uses the E Ink technolgy, you need a light to read at night. The Kandle solves this problem in a very convenient and easy way. The biggest complaint i've had with other booklight I've used with the Kindle was that the light would never stay on as securely as I would have liked. The Kandle book light stays on tight, and the lights are very bright too. If you like to read the Kindle at night, this is the best accessory you can have.

I recently purchased this Kandle to use with my Kindle. It is compact. Folds up nicely, easily fitting into a purse or drawer. It's lights are bright enough to read the entire screen without glare. A big bonus was that it came installed with batteries and an extra set of replacement batteries as well. I made an inquiry to the company regarding the delivery date of my Kandle and received excellent service. Their reply was prompt, courteous and very informative. Digital Frames - like it, digital frames


For anyone looking at getting a decent, mid-level point-and-shoot with the look and feel of an SLR, the Nikon Coolpix L120 is by far the best choice, even with its few shortcomings!



As a semi-professional photographer who primarily shoots film (but is slowly converting to digital) I always have kept at least a digital P&S camera with me to get those "quick" shots that I can't get because of the time involved in setting up the shot in an SLR. My previous camera, the Minolta DiMAGE S414 had been getting long in the tooth and was starting to glitch. A friend gave me his Nikon Coolpix E5200 and I was immediately hooked on Nikon's legendary imaging quality. However, the 5-megapixel sensor in the Coolpix E5200 was short of what I truly needed, so the same friend who gave me the E5200 also let me try out his Coolpix L110. I was blown away with how well the photos turned out! In my quest to buy my own Coolpix L110, I had heard back in February that Nikon was releasing the Coolpix L120, with a 2-megapixel increase over the L110 and several new features. Having read the first reviews of the camera, it seemed like a sure winner, so I took the plunge on March 14th of this year and secured one for myself.



Instantly, I was hooked on it. Right out of the box, this camera is a winner! The settings, user-interface, the sleek design and the nifty zoom selector on the lens barrel makes this camera worth every penny. In the short time I have owned it, I have already taken approximately 1,200 photos with it; everything from nature, bridges, even the sun! (with a solar filter, of course). And with its fantastic 21x optical zoom, I can photograph a car at more than a quarter-mile away and be able to clearly read its license plate!



The only drawback I can see is that Nikon has left out the ability to manually control your aperture and shutter speed settings (instead, leaving that for the Nikon Coolpix P500 which I was unimpressed with). However, those small shortcomings are overwhelmed by the simplicity this camera offers. Itching to get into Panorama photography, without the need for an expensive SLR with built-in panorama stitching? Consider it done! With this camera's Panorama-Assist feature (which overlays a small portion of the image onto the screen for the next shot to be composed), and the supplied Arcsoft Panorama Maker Pro 5 software, Panorama-style photography has never been more affordable. Looking to enhance photos with HDR-like color clarity? Consider that done, also! This camera supplies with it built-in D-Lighting that preserves the color intensity of an image yet bringing out the details otherwise hidden within dark shadows. Also supplied, incase you don't want to edit your images in-camera, is Nikon's own View NX-2, which not only includes D-lighting enhancement filters, it also offers a host of other image-editing capabilities!

I recieved this camera just a couple of days ago. Wow what a fantastic surprise! My two previous digital cameras were a Panasonic Lumix DMC-LZ10 which I purchased in 2009 for a bicycle tour. While the camera had a lot of good things going for it a couple of problems stuck out which I could not tolerate. 1st and foremost it was very poor in bad lighting and the flash did not compinsate. 2nd..it really needed to be held steady any movement created a blurry picture. Declining light only made the issue worse. My other digital is a Nikon Coolpix 4300 which I bought 6 or 7 years ago to handle an online website. I love that camera, great pictures. good in bad light, not much zoom capability but could deal with that. The big problem...It was designed with an odd memory card which is hard to get and did not hold as much as comparable cameras today. I still use this camera for my website.



Good luck with Nikon and poor luck with Lumix I decided to chance another Nikon. Wow again..quick focus, Holds a common SD card, great zoom capabilities, and best of all it opperates very well in poor light conditions, in fact I forced a poor light condition under my desk with no flash and worked beyond belief! Add to those good reviews the fact they have redesigned the zoom key and placed it on the left side on the lens (can you say 35mm like)long, long, long over due.



If your thinking about one...make the plunge. A+A+A+

I couldn't wait until this camera was released and it was worth the wait! I love how it looks, the bronze is beautiful, and it sits well in my hand. It felt comfortable from the very first holding. I like how the lens cap attaches--can never get lost, but not in my way either. Easy to use right out of the box. After reading the comments on it's predecessor the Nikon L100 and L110, I did two things immediately. I used fresh lithium batteries instead of the ones it came with, and I, after a few too many blurry photos, upped the ISO. The photos are fabulous so far! I am enjoyed playing around with the black and white setting and got some stunning results, just from sitting in my chair indoors, focising on ordinary items and my dog in my living room! I'm having fun experimenting with the different settings in the menu and recently took some very interesting night shots on my street. Macro is stunning. I found some great cases at Target and Walmart, but the one I bought fits so nicely is a small Lowenpro, it was under $20 with room enough for the camera with strap, and a little pouch for an extra set of batteries. I cannot comment on the video, as I have not used this feature yet. Active Leggings


I have enjoyed these leggings so much since I received them as a gift for Christmas (along with KD's sultry sweater dress). I like where they hit me on my torso - not *so* low, like the annoying trendy jeans that seem to be made for 13 year old girls with no hips, and not so high that they give you a wierd line at your belly-button when you wear them under a dress. They're kind of like the 3rd bowl of porridge in "Goldilocks and the Three Bears": 'just right'. Because they're made with KD's signature stretch fabric, they cling to you gently, and move with you beautifully, without sagging at the knees or in the behind. I've gotten countless tights from Target, the Gap, etc. that end up sagging. Who needs sags and wrinkles to add to the junk in their trunk under a dress?! I sometimes wear these to do yoga, in the cooler months, and sometimes lounge in them around the house (my baby loves sitting in my lap when I'm wearing these!), but I also really enjoy wearing them under a dress with boots - you can totally dress them up or down, and they're great either way. If you are thinking about ordering these, just do it. The quality is amazing, the colors are gorgeous (I own several pairs) and the customer service is first rate. There is no "big box" store nor dance apparel maker, i.e. Capezio, Bloch who can compete with the quality of KD Dance ear. And this stuff lasts, I have pieces that I purchased in the mid-1990's that I still wear. This is because each item is made to order at their factory in the Bronx, NY - not a sweat shop in a third world country.



The material is also breathable and soft, so the typical hot and itchy factor found when wearing tights is NOT an issue. I also love the fact that the low rise tights do not create a "muffin top". The low rise tight is wonderful for dance class, but can easily translate to a yoga class. They can also be worn with a dress and boots or a tunic sweater and knee high boots for a fashion forward look. These are also awesome to lounge in during the frigid winters months. KD Dancewear also makes wonderful gifts, I gave a dancer friend of mine a pair of tights and a v-neck top and she told me it was the best present she ever received.



Regarding sizing, check your ego at the door because you will need to order a size up or two. KD Dance customer service offers on point fit advice, so if you have doubts reach out to them.



Trust me, you will not be disappointed with this purchase, in fact you may find yourself addicted to this brand.

This by far the best tights I have owned. The waist sits perfectly right below my belly button. Its a perfect fit-without being too tight or too loose. It doesnt sag like other cheap tights.The fabric rests on the skin, hugging all your contours. This well-knit stretchy sweater is breathable, light, and sexy.



I love to wear this with my sexy matching sweater dress, also from KD dance. You can wear these with little denim skirts, long tunic tops, under long dresses for extra warmth, and of course for dancing!
