If you've got a Dremel tool, but too few bits, this is the set to have. This set really gives you the most for your money, as compared to the other, smaller, Dremel bit sets.That said, I should point out that the case really sucks. I like stuff to be in (roughly) rectangular boxes for ease of storage. This case has a handle, which is nifty, but protrudes a few inches above the case. This means you can't stack anything above it.Also, the poor design of the lids means they won't open all the way, nor will they stay open unles you pry them up with the blue inserts. Dremel doesn't help much making the decision to pay the price for this package or the one that's half the price. I have both. This is the best deal if you want to use the EZ-Lock system or need a new EZ-Lock arbor, which makes sense if you cut a lot of metal. or do a lot of sanding or polishing. The real parts count in this kit is sanding drums and disks and polishing wheels.
The case is OK, but it's plastic and won't survive a drop. There's a small amount of unused space in the case.
The Dremel 697-06 doesn't include any EZ Lock parts, but does include a good selection of metal cutoff wheels that mount on a standard arbor.
If you already have the EZ-Lock arbor, you may be better off buying only the parts you need.
If you don't use the EZ-Lock system, 697-06 is a much better value.
This set consists entirely of abrasives, except for a single small cutting bit and one drill bit. It is only worth purchasing if you are looking for adding to your supply of abrasives or replacement arbors for your abrasives.
One of the smartest purchases I've ever made. First of all the "EZ lock" accessary alone is worth $15.00, and you get that plus 7 different types of wheels to use with it. Assortment of mandrels is great, you won't need to buy sanding accessories for a while too, 35 #60 grit drums, 35 #120 Grit, Sanding, polishing, cutting, buffing, sharpening, etc. Not to mention all the sanding disks, This is the one kit you need for your rotory tool. Beleive me you won't need anything else, even if you just get the kit and store it awaw for "just in case" it will not be a waste of cash, you "will" need something from this set maybe at a later time, but you will need/use it. I'd bet on that.
the number of tools, 150, is misleading. Many of the "tools" were simply tiny abrasive disks. These are not tools. Customer cannot tell this from the pictures. I suggest that you make distinction between tools and abrasive disks.
I just received my super accessory kit and I found the product at finest quality I could imagine, at a very decent price. I prefer to buy this product over buying individual tools as it
costs much much lower.
This kit is useful, yet it can be better for a bit higher price Dremel could come up with a more varied Accessory piece Assortment.
But I appreciated the input of the sharpening attachment.

i would have to say this kit has everything you need to get started with .... ive used my dremel for about a month and in that month i had a whole sortment of project waiting for the dremel and everytime i needed a piece that didnt come with the dremel this had it.
the only thing i could think of when i needed to bring out another tool other than my dremel was a small saw so maybe if they added that piece to the assortment it would make it complete
only cons i can think of is the sanding tool like most sadnpaper tools expires and probably will be the first that would need to be refilled that might just me my case only tho
the case it comes in has a handle which is convenient and the way everything is assorted is too...only drawback is it doesnt open all the way so if you have big hands your going to get frustrated all in all tho this is a must if you own a dremel tool - Rotary Tool Accessories - Corded Rotary Tools - Attachments - Hobby Tool'
