Cleanser - makeup remover

I liked this product when I first used it. It smells pretty nice and my face felt really clean and tight after and not overly dry. After the first day, my skin would sting while I used it. I used it for one week, and it stung almost every time. Since using this product, I've had one pimple, which is not a big deal because I break out occasionally no matter what product I use, but the thing that's more concerning is that I started to get some red spots on my face. I don't have overly sensitive skin. I live in New York and my skin has always been fine under city conditions. Clearly not the stuff for me! Neutrogena Naturals Fresh Cleansing + Makeup Remover, 6-Ounces (Pack of 2)

I am typically very weary about picking a new cleanser. I ran out of my last one and decided to buy a different one because the one I had been using was too drying for use in colder weather. I saw this in a flashy display, bought it on a whim, and I am so glad I did. It is supposed to "gently" cleanse for "fresh, clear skin," and that is exactly what it does. My skin feels very smooth and it didn't strip the moisture from my skin. It foams very nicely without feeling like a soap, has a very pleasant scent and rinses away without leaving a residue. The best thing about it is the simple ingredient list; the back of the bottle says it is 90% natural, which is more than I can say about previous cleansers I have used. I will definitely purchase it again and perhaps try other products in this line as well.

I have an oily T-Zone and the sides of my face and nose are always super dry, so it's hard to find a good cleanser that doesn't dry out or over moisturize. This one is PERFECT! It gets off all makeup, and passes the after-cleansing test. I can swipe my skin with a cotton ball and toner and the cotton ball is CLEAN! I love this stuff! It also leaves my dry areas smooth and soft. LOVE<3 buy it if you have combination skin!

What girl out there doesn't love the option of removing makeup and cleansing at the same time?

This does it all, without the unnecessary step of removing makeup before cleansing.

I have combination skin with breakouts every now and again, and this is by far the best makeup remover / cleanser ever.

It cleanses without stripping the skin, moisturizes without leaving behind a film or oil that most removers seem to do.

I've been using it for a week so far and haven't had any reactions to it like I normally would with other products.

It completely removes eye makeup and mascara. So for $7 at your local drug store, this is such a great item to have without spending twice the price for makeup remover and cleanser.

I was SO HAPPY when I discovered this in the isles of Walmart. A natural face cleanser with the Neutrogena name? Brilliant. I checked out the ingredient list of course, and then impulsively purchased it. All the ingredients are plant-derived except for one (I think. I don't have the bottle with me). It has a liquid (more on the gel side than the water-y side) consistency and a weird smell - not bad, but definitely shouldn't be made into a perfume anytime soon. Some days, I would dilute it a bit with water and some days, I wouldn't but I always got the same results in the shower: stinging and after the shower: not that great.

It wasn't a horrible cleanser (my face did feel clean), but it didn't give me results that I wanted. It made my combination skin quite flaky and greasy...not oily, but greasy and while it cleared some whiteheads on the sides of my face, it gave me acne on my neck...It was weird. I don't like it, but I will have to try the other products before I can completely discard this one as I really liked that the packaging was "green" (the ink was printed onto the bottle and not paper on top of the bottle). And if I remember right, the ink was made of soy. But I could be wrong. Overall, it was just a weird experience.

Having spent the better part of my life between ages 12 and 23 (now) with first adolescent, then adult, acne, I have tried literally hundreds of different treatments, from OTC to medication to changes in diet, all to varying degrees of success. I bought this bar along with the Neutrogena Naturals Purifying Facial Cleanser and the Fresh Cleansing + Makeup Remover. Used the last two every day until they ran out, about 6 weeks. Skin showed some improvement, but my adult acne was still active.

After they ran out, I was too lazy to buy more, so I just started using this bar soap. Freaking. Amazing. I noticed after about 2 weeks that I hadn't really had any breakouts. "Huh," I thought, "that's pretty cool, wonder why?". A month later, I have maybe 1 completely manageable overgrown whitehead per week, which spackling on Adult Acnomel 8% sulfur overnight quickly dries out. I use it morning and night with my Clarisonic Plus (shower) or Clarisonic Mia (sink), followed by Yon-Ka Creme 83, Garnier Skin Renew Anti-Puff Eye Roller (day) or Clinique All About Eyes (night), and Laura Mercier Oil-Free Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20 (some days).

I can FINALLY focus on taking care of the red spots and discoloration that years of acne has left behind (but no major scarring, thank God).

It might not work for you. But at this price, it's not only the cheapest solution I've ever tried, but also the most unexpected godsend. Long live Neutrogena Naturals!

I have adult acne (I know, join the club). I've tried other Neutrogena products made specifically for acne, as well as some products made by other companies. A lot of them tended to make me break out more, or didn't prevent break out episodes. I saw some ads about the new Neutrogen naturals line. Although not advertised specifically as an acne treatment, the product description mentions that it is suitable for those with acne. I've been using the purifying facial cleanser for about 6 weeks now, and found that this is the best product I've found for me and my adult acne. I like the fragrance, and do not find that this dries my face out. After using it regularly, I have had almost no breakouts. I've dealt with the two or three small pimples during this time period by using the Neutrogena spot treatment. I plan on sticking with Neutrogena Naturals.

Unfortunately, I've also learned that everyone has to try these types of products for themselves. Many other products I've tried that did not work for me had lots of good reviews. All I can say is give this one a try if you're on your search for a good facial cleanser. - Makeup Remover'
