This is a well-made heavy nylon duty belt. While I prefer the adjustment method of the traditional leather duty belts with a metal buckle, good-quality leather duty belts are much more expensive than this belt.
This belt is exactly two inches wide and has a quick-release plastic buckle. It has fuzzy Velcro on the full length of the inside surface. To adjust the belt, you pull the end of the belt (which has a two-inch hook Velcro section) through one side of the buckle and stick it to the fuzzy Velcro. So as you wear it, some of the belt is doubled over. This system allows the belt to have a very wide size adjustment from about 29 inches up to about 53 inches (but not to 55 inches as listed). It is not a problem to fit your gear slots over the doubled thickness section, since you instead slide them just over the outer belt section between the overlap.
The belt comes with two metal loop belt keepers to keep the overlapping areas of the belt aligned. These keepers are thin and cheap, so using two wider nylon or leather duty belt keepers is much better. Galati Gear Duty Belt with Velcro (55-Inch Long)'
