I was so pleased to have found this adapter for so much less than what Apple was selling them for. I should have known better. A bargain isn't always what it's cracked up to be. The adapter came in a well sealed package and on time. What I immediately noticed was that the weight was significantly less than the Apple adapter and that there was no official lettering or information on the face of the adapter as there is on the Apple one. Next I found that the USB chord would not go all the way in and lastly it charges the phone extremely slow. It takes more than double the time of the original adapter that came with my phone. Bought this for my iPhone 3GS. It did not work. It also did not work with my mother's iPhone 4. You get what you pay for I guess. (We have an actual Apple charger [the $25.00+ one] and cables that work, and see our phones charge with those, so we know that our phones are not the problem). I did return this item.
Not sure what happened because I usually rave about Apple products but after about 3 weeks, I removed the plug from the wall socket and one of the metal prongs broke off and stayed in the socket. Very disappointing.
do not buy this product. I try connecting to my Ipod touch 4th generation and it is not compatible. It is also not compatible with Iphones. This is a rip off. Do not buy please, don't get rip off like I did. I ended up not using it it doesn't work :('
