Ipod Nano - armbands, case

This armband is ok but it is nearly impossible to operate the click wheel while the iPod is in this case. The plastic covering is either too thick or too rigid. They should redesign it so the plastic over the wheel is more pliable. Griffin AeroSport Armband Case for iPod (Black)

Works great! I was concerned (from other reviews) that the thumbwheel might be hard to operate through the plastic shield, but it works great. That the case clips on to the armband and is easily detached is a bonus, as is the clip for wrapping up the excess cord from my earbuds. If you have especially large arms the armband might be a little small, but not a concern in my case . . .

The materials used on this are pretty cheap. Very nasty looking. Quite comfortable to wear, but this fell apart within 1 month of buying it. The glue holding the clip for the velcro strap fell apart.

DO NOT BUY.

This is my first armband and I must say, it was a great purchase. You are actually buying 2 things in one. It can work as an armband AND can also work as a clip on. There's an attachment for the earphone wires so it doesnt get in the way. I work out 6x a week and after using this for the first time, I'm loving it. Its light weight, doesnt get in the way. I only have one comment about it and I second J.Thurman's review about the thickness of the plastic. When trying to scroll through the menu, the thick plastic prevents you from doing it with ease. I sometimes find myself go into a different screen. They should either make the plastic thinner or have an opening for the wheel. But overall great product.

It is impossible to operate the click wheel!!! The iPod fits very tight and the plastic covering is too thick. Moreover, if you have a thin arm, the armband will not fit well. I am returning the product.

This is the second iPod armband I've owned. I had to buy this one because I retired my generation 2 iPod and bought a gen 4 model. The new video window on the gen 4 model didn't match up with the window on the old arm band.

The postive side of this armband is that it is easy to put on and take off. It stays put when exercising, and the iPod easily slips into it.

The negative side is that the band is awfully wide, which sometimes makes it a little difficult if you have it near your elbow. My iPod fits nicely into it, but the very top of the iPod window is hard to see, so sometimes I think the top item on a menu is the top when in reality, it's the second item. One more thing: the wide band is made of some sort of foam-type material which really soaks up sweat, so the band is pretty wet after a workout. Most of these complaints are very minor, though. I would recommend the Griffin AeroSport arm band.

UPDATE 7 MONTHS LATER: After using this armband for seven months, it has started to come apart, so I can't be as enthusiastic as I was. In fact, I've thrown it away and purchases another brand. I workout four to five times a week (running) and I sweat a lot, so I put the band through its paces. Maybe these things just can't endure that kind of wear.

I bought this case for my 4-gen iPOD because of it's appeared comfort. It's comfort is the only thing this case has going for it.

After one workout (a run), the plastic cover that protects the iPOD and holds the unit in place came halfway off and my iPOD almost came flying out of the case.

This is Griffen case is not worth it. I usually shop reviews before purchasing, I did not before I made this horrible decision.

Beware of this overpriced garbage.

Im using ipod Nano 4th Gen, initially I was bit skeptical based on the reviews by some customers. But went ahead and ordered and was pleasantly surprised by the ease of use. The initial setup can be tough for some if they dont read the instructions carefully. At first I wondered how can i get the ipod and the clip through the Jacket, but it was pretty smooth.

And was able to reduce/increase volume and move back and forth in the playlist easily, only small problem might be the top portion (5mm of screen will not be visible i.e. battery/play/pause icons) , but you can insert the ipod in opposite direction to overcome this. Overall im very much satisfied.

Even though there were many bad reviews about being unable to operate the click wheel with this product, I optimistically hoped the few positive reviews were right. I'm not too picky, so I figured it couldn't be that bad. The way this product is designed, though, the bendable plastic covering doesn't fit nicely against the ipod: it kind of bubbles up, which is why it becomes REALLY difficult to operate the click wheel. That wouldn't be great for using it anytime, but especially during a workout. Bummer. Luckily Amazon returns are pretty easy! - Armband - Armbands - Case - Ipod Nano Armband'
