I wasn't sure what to expect when I ordered this sync and charge cable for my iPhone. The cable is in fact identical to the original Apple cable. It works well with iPhone 3G and iPhone 4. I just got the iPhone 4 from Verizon and wanted an extra charge cord (just in case). I got this in the mail and it looks a little cheap but who cares...it works! I plugged it into my laptop and it started charging and brought up itunes right away just like the apple one. If I ever need yet another one I will be buying this one.
The cable does its job well.
Charges the iphone 4 in good time as expected. It does not fit "exactly" like the one that came from Apple, but its an insignificant little difference, in that, there is an extra tiny click that goes when you insert it.
Overall, for $4 price it is the best cable, in terms of quality and performance, that you would find.
I was happy to save money over a genuine Apple cable, but it just developed a loose connection this afternoon after only a week or two of use. If I touch the cable near the USB end, and move it just a bit, it drops the connection between my iPhone 4 and the computer. I think I'll pay the extra to get a cable from Apple; I've yet to have one of them fail.
Also, the connection to the iPhone is rather large and doesn't quite fit with my case without stretching the case.
