the skins from Decal Girl are the best made...I have one on my blackberry, and on my Wii,the colors are so much brighter in person than in the pictures if you can believe that. I 100% recommend these to Kindle owners,you will love them too...make sure you keep the page they come off of so when you get a new one you can keep it intact. This is the second skin I bought from DecalGirl and I absolutely love it! The first was on my Kindle 2, so I had to get one for my Kindle 3. This was the second skin I have purchased. The first one was for a cell phone (and used my own photo) and this one for the new Kindle. Skin goes on easily and fits perfectly. Got my kindle and nobody in amazon was prepared with custom skins-- except this seller. AND their price was the lowest too. I LOVE it. The kindle is light and I read when waiting in stores, restaurants you name it; and when I am reading people constantly stop and say "WOW can I see that?" They actually want to handle it, read a bit, and they all love the color, I had to explain how I got it. The cover attracts their attention and they say "I've been thinking of getting one of these"...Amazon should pay me for their free advertising, lol!!
Decalgirl had THE best price for kindle latest gen skins; at first I was put off by the description 'Matte finish' as opposed to glossy (like my laptop skin)-- but you know it's SO much classier than gloss on a handheld reader. I think the matte finish is easier to hold-- than a slippery glossy skin-- since the kindle is so light. Plus it goes on effortlessly:expert die cut, folks! (no bubbles like my laptop skin from another company.)

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my daughter.I thought that it would add some protection for her Kindle.Although it looks pretty cool it offers no real protection,you're actually better off putting the money toward a real cover.I had a little difficulty getting it to line up right and I had to trim around the upper right and left arrow keys.The over all product looks pretty decent but definately not worth the 20 I paid for it!
It's exactly as depicted. The only drawback to the skins (in my opinion) is if you have a case for your kindle (which I do), then the back is obsolete as you never see it. Pick your skin based on the front image, because this is what you will see. Unfortunately, I picked this skin because of the stunning back. O well... My fault, not the skin's. It's EXACTLY like the image provided.
My daughter got me this skin for my birthday, and it is absolutely gorgeous on my Kindle 3. I have received a lot of compliments. It was very easy to put on and adjust and the colors are very vivid. It contrasts beautifully with the purple case she got me. I love it!
The skin is really an adhesive product that is put on the Kindle like contact paper. It made the Kindle look a lot prettier than the gray stainless look of the naked Kindle.
