Galaxy S - sprint, galaxy s

One of the issues with buying a new phone is that there isn't a whole lot of reviews and info when it comes to accessories.

Taking a chance after buying the Seidio Innocase I can say I am not disappointed.

Being a Palm Pre owner at one point I understand that one of the issues with these hard shell sliding phone cases is that the hooks that hold on to the phone can make the slide not so smooth, the hooks get caught on something, it can be a pain to take off and it adds to much bulk.

The Seidio innocase doesn't have these issues. It slides smoothly with only a barely noticeable slow down, were hooks are at the top and bottom so they don't get snagged on anything, the case is very easy to take off when you feel it's time to clean out all the dust under the case and it's thin because lets face it, if you are getting this case you mainly want to get it to prevent dings or scuffs when you drop it. Anything else is why you should get the 8$ insurance for the phone and otter cases are HUGE.

The outer case's plastic is the soft to the touch plastic and the inside is nothing special, the number row on the keyboard isn't covered at all and all ports like the sliding micro usb door are easy to get to even for my huge fingers even the lanyard port is open so you can get a niffy charm for the phone without worrying it will scuff it.

Pros: Thin, manageable, accessible, stylish, noninvasive

Cons: Nothings.

I've tried all the cases at BestBuy and the only one that came close to this one was the Platinum and the hooks on that case made a large separation between the screen and the keyboard and I could see light seep through. Seidio SURFACE Case for Samsung Epic 4G (Black)

I bought this case with the expectation that I would get something better than a $3 case I might get on ebay. Needless to say I'm disappointed. I wrote the manufacturer in hopes that the product I received might be defective, but after endless promises that someone would contact me I have given up. Here are some things to consider...

1.) The case does fit the phone, but no better than a generic case. My specific case has extra space and visibly wiggles around the phone loosely.

2.) The rubber around the case (the material that gives the case the rubberized feel) wears off with easy rubbing.

3.) The case will scratch the sides of your phone. Had I known this I would have simply gone with a ghost shield or zagg.

If you're buying this case with the expectation that you're buying something premium, you'll be disappointed. There are a lot of positive reviews about this product, but notice that almost all are from people who 'just bought' the product. There are several similar cases that can be found on Amazon for under $1, this case offers no more protection than one of those.

My boyfriend and I both have an Epic and I purchased the purple case like this for myself and the black one for him. The black one's finish is already peeling near the corners of the phone - something I typically see in older cases and he's only been using it for 3 weeks. The case fits great and the phone works well with this case on it, but I'm not impressed with the durability of the finish. The purple one that I am using has held up much better.

I've had this case for about 5 months. I looked exhaustively before choosing this one, and it definitely seemed to be one of the best! I wanted a case which was subtle, fit well, and didn't distract from the phone. A case should protect the phone, not be a work of art, in my book.

This Seidio case adds very little bulk to the phone (which isn't a slim phone to begin with). It looks very nice, feels great in the hand, and the openings line up perfectly - it's nice having a raised lip for the camera, helps keep it clean and non-scratched, and it doesn't interfere with photos at all. Flash works perfectly with the seperate cut out. The keyboard slides out easily and is not touched or blocked by the case, even the top row.

Removing this case is pretty simple - the easiest way I have found is slide out the keyboard, then remove the back part of the case first by unhooking the corner clip. The front half of the case has clips on the edge you need to gently pull.

I'd recommend this as a very well engineered form fitting protector.

If you want to nitpick here are the only negatives:

1. The lip around the screen is very good at catching and collecting dust, including pocket lint, due to the shape. Easy to blow on it and clear that out though.

2. When I remove the case, after months of use, the phone does have very slight scuffs where theclips grab on.

3. The fit of the rear half is a little loose - not at the edges, but in the center. The result is a very quiet little creaking sound when you put pressure on it. No big deal in normal use - but when you have the phone to your ear for a call, that creaking sound is very loud and irritating... to the point I have started to consider finding another case.

4. Not every time you remove the case, but once in awhile - a small, transdimensional portal opens about twenty inches beyond the lens of the camera. Within the murky depths of this tiny, swirling nexus, a face appears; A face hewn from lovecraftian origins, tentacled and many-mouthed, and it from it issues a voice like metal grinding onto stone, speaking these words: "Desist, pale creature of the flesh world! Remove not this case, lest you suffer the wrath of Ugg'gogg'yrrrl, he who does not forgive."

5. There is a small scuff along one edge where the rubberized surface has worn away, but nothing major. :) - Epic - Galaxy S - 4g - Sprint'
