This is a great little riser for flat panel TV's. I needed to be able to get my blu-ray player under my 52" TV and this did the job. The only thing I'd change is to make the shelf a few inches deeper. Just make sure you measure your monitor or TV base and the size of the item being stored undernieth to ensure it's the right size. I purchased this stand for a new 32" TV so I could put the cable box under the TV. It met my needs perfectly; the stand looks like it was made for this set up as it blends right in with the black TV and cable box, almost like one unit.
Assemble was easy and it's very, very sturdy.
I have been looking for a monitor stand that would meet my specifications: that is, it should work on the overall look that I want for my small room and that it should serve its function- to raise the TV higher and declutter the space. I am so happy that I found it here in Amazon. Product is definitely worth the price. It was easy to install. You just need a philips screw driver and follow the easy step by step instructions and that's it. My LCD TV and compact DVD player are now in the best spot over my dresser/cabinet. I can enjoy the tv at a better angle because of the stand. I am very satisfied with this product. It totally works for me.

This stand is both sturdy and stylish. The edges are a little sharp and may possibly chip because of the design and lamination on the stand. However, so far I have not experienced any problems with the stand. It also comes with 4 little feet (self adhesive) to protect the surface of your furniture. A nice item at a good price. I use this stand for a 32" TV and the weight (40lbs) is no problems for the stand to handle. I have notice no bowing or warping on the shelf.
I bought a JVC TH-BA1 Surround Sound Bar not too long ago and I didn't like how the sound bar was blocking the IR receiver on the TV. I was thinking about wall mounting my TV or sound bar but it's quite difficult to do so since my wall is mostly canvas. Also the price of wall mounts are kind of expensive. I came across this product on Amazon and made the purchase right away. It was easy to install and took me less than 10 minutes. The instructions are clear and the stand is very sturdy. It holds my Panasonic TCL37G1 37" LCD TV perfectly. Now I don't have any problems using my TV remote. Although I am unable to put anything underneath the stand because of the sound bar, but that's fine by me.
I purchased this from Amazon after looking at other positive reviews to allow me to put a DVR box (DirecTV)under my new 46" LCD TV (about 45 lbs) on top of a piece of existing furniture that was not made for media (no ventilation, no "glass fronts" for remote control function). It is EXACTLY what I needed and very sturdy, it uses the dowel and camlock assembly that you may have seen in closet accessories and, as a bonus, is made in the USA!!!
It is an attractive semigloss black over particle board. Included were some black caps to hide the camlocks on the inside (which wouldn't have been visible anyway) and some gel pads to protect my furniture - very complete package
I would not be afraid to put it underneath a larger, heavier TV as long as the stand affixed to the TV fit completely on the surface of this unit.
I purchased this riser stand for my new 32" LCD TV for my bedroom. I needed to rise the tv just a few inches higher so I can watch tv from bed. I also was able to fit my VCR and it looks so much neater. It was a perfect fit and very simple to assemble, it took just a few minutes.
