I was a little worried about ordering the cable since it didnt have any reviews, but I am glad that i did. The cable feels very rugged and sturdy, the ends fit nicely into the equipment. I have it ran from my media closet 40 feet away through the attic to the tv in the bonus room. I am getting full 1080p and dolby EX 6.1 with no pixelation or noticable signal drop. I am running this through a hdmi switch/amplifier so i can not comment on how it would be connected straight from your bluray to the tv. I am very pleased with the performance and price for this cable, i have already recommended it to a friend and i wouldnt hesitate to order again. I bought a new epson projector, and my old cord would not work the 1080p from the Bluray (through my Yamaha receiver to the projector) so all I had was sound from the receiver but a black screen. I bought this specifically because it is listed as Cat 1.4 rated and will work Bluray. Pushing the HDMI signal 50 feet is a long way, and I was prepared to use two Cat 6 cables with HDMI converters, but this worked perfectly. If only it was behind my drywall like my old cord. The cord itself is sturdy nylon, and arrived on the first day of the shipping window no problems.
This cable has a very robust sheath and provides great picture quality. I am using it to connect my desktop (running windows 7) to my flat screen tv. Quality of the video on my tv is identical to that of my monitor. I would recommend this cable to anyone looking to connect devices using HDMI.
Also for people using xp/vista/win7, in order to transfer sound with your HDMI cable to the device your connecting to (in my case my tv), you need to follow this path: control pannel->hardware and sound->change system sounds->playback, and then set your default sound to HDMI.
I found only a few 50' HDMI cables locally that were roughly THREE TIMES the price and not even half the quality of this one! Since pushing an HDMI signal 50 feet is a pretty tall order, I had concerns that the signal would lose sync and drop out or just look inferior. It didn't. This cable does very nicely. I had a better picture with this than with some of my shorter cables, and absolutely no sync problems whatsoever. It passed True HD Dolby 7.1 and DTS-HD Master audio to my receiver as advertised. The cable looks like a "high end" cable too. I have no idea if it performs well in the 3D arena, since it shipped faster than the 3D monitor which was purchased FIRST (different seller). incredibly fast shipping.
I own a company that dose home theater cabling for residential construction and remodel, We needed HDMI cables quickly. I ordered these through my Amazon prime account they came next day no problem and the cables look like top quality home theater cables , my installer said they were easy to pull through joists on rough frame, and cables work perfectly full 1080p with no signal amplifier needed.
Good quality connectors and is very rugged and sturdy cable. also delivers greast picture and sound!! well worth the $40! I have it connected a a time warner HD cable box thru a spliter to my samsung led tv.
Used the 50ft hdmi to run my desktop to my big screen... It is in wall, through attic. The signal was weak, only coming through about half of the time. ended up having to buy the hdmi booster.. now it works great
