Iphone4 Case - breathe, iphone4 case

The case looks great on the Iphone, but doesnt fit perfectly. Since the case has small holes it will not work as a protective case, since debri and small particles will enter in between the holes causing the case to rub against the glass. You will notice that when you take the case off you will have plenty of scratches on it.

Beware of the scratches. elago S4 BREATHE Case for AT&T and Verizon iPhone 4 (Silver)

Definitely a stylish case for my iPhone4! It fits snuggly and adds very little to the size of the phone. Not sure how much real protection it offers (I wouldn't want to drop my phone) but I am sure it is better than nothing. I keep my phone in my pocket and it is easy to get in and out and doesn't attract any lint. It is plastic so it is not sticky or rubbery but does have a soft feel.

I recently upgraded from a 3GS to an iPhone 4. I had the Incipio Feather case for the 3GS, which was a great, thin, light case that had a great "grippy" feel to it. After reading all the negative reviews about the iPhone 4 Feather, I decided to shop around a bit and eventually settled on this case. My first S4 Breathe that I ordered came with a crack near the bottom, but no biggie - Amazon refunded me the money and I ordered another one. I've been using it for a couple days now and here are my two cents:

Pros:

-Design. I realize looks are subjective but I'm personally digging the "hole-y" design of the breathe and the silver metallic sheen of the case.

-Light. It's not a thick case, and maybe the holes are a contributing factor to this, but this case is very light - I can't feel a difference in weight with the case on or off.

-Just flexible enough. The case is pretty flexible, meaning that I can take it off if I want to without much problem. It's also stiff enough that it won't fall off - the edges of the case wrap around the metal band of the iPhone 4. I tried my girlfriend's Belkin Micra Shield case once and it was so stiff that it took me 10 minutes to take off.

-Feel. The coating on this case feels soft to the touch, and also provides more of a grip on the phone. This means that it won't slip out of my hand if it happens to be moist from sweat or something.

-Protection. The side edges of the case extend slightly beyond the front of the phone, giving you a "lay-on-the-table design" as some video reviewers like to call it. If the phone falls to the floor face-down, the case will hit the ground first and break the fall.

Cons:

-Protection. For one, I'm not particularly pleased that the top-front and bottom-front of the phone are both exposed. The 3GS feather left the bottom-front exposed, but at least the top front was protected. I'm sure this was to make the case easier to put on, but Elago could have at least protected EITHER the top-front or bottom-front without too much difficulty. Or the corners of the case could be extended so that the corners take the hit even if the phone falls top-down.

-The inner-backside of the case doesn't have anything to sort of "baby" the iPhone. Some harder cases (iFrogz and CandyShells come to mind) have felt or other soft materials inside to prevent damage to the phone and provide shock absorbance. The phone rubs up against the case, so it might cause scratches. A cheap back-protector is probably a worthy investment (my screen-protector came with a free back protector so I don't have to worry about that).

Other points:

-Protection? Haven't had a chance to test (hopefully never will), but because the case is so thin I can't imagine there being a whole lot of shock protection. If it falls on a particularly hard surface like concrete or porcelain... well, we'll see. It may be enough to protect the phone, who knows.

Some people want their cases to protect their phones in all situations. If you're one of those people, go with iFrogz or Otterbox instead - this case is not for you. Personally, however, I believe that those cases destroy the entire point of designing a slim, lightweight device. I like cases that add protection, but not at the cost of portability, size, or design. If you're like me, definitely consider this case.

I needed a thin skin for my iPhone that was relatively to remove, and yet provided some protection.

I bought the Elago S4 BREATHE with that in mind. It is very thin, and it is MUCH easier to remove than other skins I've tried. When it's on, the skin fits quite snugly. It seems a little loose on on the lower left side, but fortunately I treat my iPhone with great respect. Because of it's inherent thinness and lack of coverage, I don't expect this skin to provide all the protection of other skins. I paid only $6 for it, which is fine. Too bad Amazon charged me $30 shipping....

Still, if you are a gentle iPhone user looking for a very thin skin, you might enjoy this one.

This is probably the fourth case I've tried through amazon and the first one that I haven't returned. It's nice because it's not bulky and all the buttons are easily accessible however the picture doesn't show that both the top and the bottom of the phone aren't covered. I'm worried about what would happen if it got dropped. Keeping the case though because it makes the phone look really nice. - Iphone Case - Breathe - Iphone 4 - Iphone4 Case'
