I purchased a Pioneer all region DVD player less than a month ago. It was functioning well for 3 weeks, then started ejecting all the discs placed in it. I contacted the Pioneer for warranty service, the answer was that they do not provide warranty for 'all region' products.
This product was purchased in the US. It worked less than a month. And the manufacturer refused to help.
This was my first and last Pioneer product ever
Phil PIONEER DV-320K MULTISYSTEM REGION FREE DVD PLAYER.ALL REGIONS 0-6 WITH WORLDWIDE VOLTAGE.
Nice looking dvd player by Pioneer, practical and easy to connect and use. Plays both PAL and NTCS systems. The main problem I can mention has nothing to do with the component itself but it is the description you find all over the internet and here at Amazon too. Even the merchant I bought it from says that there is an optical digital output. The machine is also described as having an S video output, well none of these two outputs are present at all and the main reason I got it was because of the optical output feature that does not exist. Functionality wise, the player has problems playing recordable DL (disc 9)when the disc switches to the second layer, at this point starts freezing the image. There are better options for about the same price.
I purchased the Pioneer DV-320K as a backup to my old Philips all-region player.Decided to be ready if anything bad happens someday. I just reconnected the audio and video leads from my Philips to the Pioneer and it played perfectly (a Korean monster tsunami movie). The instruction manual can be a bit intimidating but its just as well to have a thorough set of instructions as the opposite. The remote will take a little time to get used to since its arranged very differently than my old player but is actually more useful. I can open the player using the remote, which I can't do with the Philips. Be aware that the provided adapter must be used for the electrical plug-in connection since this was constructed for an Asian marker and not US electrical systems. So...it works fine and I'm a happy buyer.
I ordered this from Tapan Sheth. It came quickly and worked for all regions straight out of the box. People buying multi-region DVD players need to appreciate that manufacturer warranty does not apply. No US manufacturer makes multi-region players - these are all modified by the sellers to play all regions. I took a chance but at $58, decided it was worth it. It definitely was!
Send and watch family videos around the world, always presented a problem in the issue of regions and video formats, thanks to this equipment, I can play videos from any place without major problems. I recommend 100%
Not happy with this product. At first the picture froze up all the time, on any disc. Very annoying. And when it was playing, the picture was poor. At first we thought we didn't have it hooked up correctly, but nope. Its the player. And unfortunately, because we live in Central Asia it took too long to return it by mail to get a full refund. NOW IT DOES NOT WORK AT ALL. WORST 60 BUCKS I HAVE SPENT. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. - Dvd Player - Region Free Dvd Player'
