Ordered this for my wife, and about to order one for my phone after seeing how great it is in person. The case is two parts, one silicon sleeve and a plastic shell that goes over that. I think between the two layers of protection you are pretty set for any drop or fall. The front has coverage so you can place the phone on its face without worry about scratching the screen, and if you don't already have a screen protector it even comes with one of those. I swear by the Zagg screen protectors and already have one installed on both of our phones so I can't speak to the one included here.
Everything lines up perfectly. The power and volume rocker is covered by the silicon sleeve, but there is no extra effort to press the buttons, there is no obstruction to the USB port, and the headphone jack has a small flap that can be removed when using any 3.5 mm cable. Overall it adds only a small amount of bulk and is one of the best cases for a phone I've seen. I would give 4 1/2 stars only because I want to see more colors! I purchased a new phone cover for my boyfriend for Christmas, and after a few weeks, the silicone material started to peel and the whole thing was wearing out fast. I knew there had to be something better out there...This is it!!! In fact, it is probably THE Best! The Otterbox is extremely durable and protects every part of the phone. The cover is thick but very light weight and is made up of a plastic shell, a silicone sleeve, and a clear screen protector. I would definitely recommend buying this! A smart phone is a big investment and you will want to protect it as much as possible. The Otterbox ensures that you won't have to worry about the phone breaking after dropping it, paying more to have it repaired or the hassle of getting a replacement phone.
Pros-
It completely protects the phone from scratches & any other damage from dropping it, etc.
It looks nice.
It's easy to hold/grip and slides in and out of pockets hassle-free.
The screen cover is awesome and also helps cut down the number of fingerprints left on the screen.
I don't think it is completely water proof, but this cover is probably better than all the others when it comes to having your phone in the rain, or dropping it in water.
There is no weird silicone smell or new smell to the cover.
It is packaged nicely.
It comes with a screen cleaner cloth.

If you're thinking about buying a "cheap" phone cover, I would recommend NOT going that route. Don't make the same mistake I did! You will only be disappointed. Don't bother wasting your money on something that will only last a limited amount of time. The Otterbox will most likely never need to be replaced, unless you upgrade your phone.
I only buy things on sale or clearance, but this is a product that is worth every penny of the full price.
If I get a smart phone someday, I will get an Otterbox for sure!
I am so glad I came across this phone cover and was introduced to the Otterbox brand.
Good fitting, well made, screen protector not really necessary for Gorilla glass, especially if you're careful with your stuff like I am. Hard case is too slippery and makes it hard to hold onto the phone sometimes. The oils from your skin build up on the plastic rather quickly and it made me feel like I was going to drop it at times. Washing with dish soap and even abrading the surface with 600 grit sandpaper helped but only temporarily. Also, rubber cover a bit flimsy around bottom and top. Overall though, a good cover but I replaced with Verizon Silicone High Gloss case which is less bulky and more grippy. Still slides into pocket too!
Great case, HORIRBLE screen protector - The case is a nice fit, the buttons all work, and it feels "safe", but the included screen protector is unusable. The instructions given are a tiny piece of paper without words on it, and after attempting ONE installation, dust got on it and it was unusable. This is by far the best phone case I have ever purchased. I had an otterbox case for my old B.B. pearl, which I loved, and this case is even better. It fits like a glove without adding too much bulk. When I put this case on I felt like my phone could finally withstand being dropped. I like that all of the ports and buttons are fully covered and protected. The cuttouts for the speakers and camera are the right size and allow complete functionality. The screen protector that came with the case is probably the best one I have ever used. It actually went on easily, (with no bubbles!) and doesn't even look like there is a screen cover on the phone. Before buying this case I bought a couple cheap ones, thinking they would at least last a while. I was wrong! They broke within a week and I was left with no protection on what to me feels like a very vulnerable phone with no case. I would ABSOLUTELY recommend this case. It is totally worth the extra money to get a case that will last. In fact I have dropped my phone several times now and there is not even a scratch on the case at all! Not many cases can say that. My only very minor complaint is that the silicon part of the case tends to attract some lint & dust, but I just wet my finger and it wipes off very easily. This small drawback is really more of a personal annoyance and does not detract any stars at all. Go OTTERBOX!
